Answering Readers and other things…

I just wanted to address some of the points Jeff has made. I think he really clarifies the differences in the two viewpoints between conservatives and liberals very well. I understand the lack of faith in our government and the fact that there is corruption and stupidity on all sides of every issue in politics. I would never advocate a one party system.

My back was fractured when I was 12 and a disc herniated. I spent the entire year laying on my back, by myself in my bedroom. The only education I received was American history and the constitution as I had to pass (this was in Illinois) a constitution test in 7th grade in order to move onto 8th grade. Needless to say, I got one hour a week from the principle who would come to my home and tutor me. I spent a lot of time reading the constitution, the bill of rights and reading about American History. The ideals and people that founded our nation were profound and beautiful. Our forefathers did an amazing job of working out potential problems. They had incredible foresight. However they did not foresee all things that came up in the last century which have truly corrupted our government. And of course they had built in the 2nd amendment not so people could hunt animals, but so we could have a revolution if the government got out of control. Problem is of course (which of course they couldn’t foresee, perhaps if DiVinci had been one of the founders) the advent of nuclear weapons and military technology that no rag tag militia could fairly fight against.

I really don’t have total faith in the Democrats. I just think they are less corrupt, more like normal politicians than the Republicans. And not all Republicans fall into that category. And especially regular American people who are not politicians but who identify with the party and vote Republican. They are not any better or worse than people who vote for Democrats. I’m talking only about the leadership of the Republican party; since the Nixon administration there has been a clarion call attracting many corrupt politicians with agendas to exploit the common working American people for their own personal gain on that side of the fence.

There are 2 types of politicians, those who get into politics to serve and lead. And those who get into politics to exploit, loot and are on power trips. I don’t think the Republican party has always been this way, and certainly the vast majority of people who vote Republican are not this way. In actuality I think the Republican party has manipulated many people’s deep love of this country, of tradition, stability, pride and our identity as self-reliant people against us.

But if we left morality up to the wealthy one percent to take care of the poor, the sick and whoever else, do you think they would do it? No. Certainly the feudal lords of Europe weren’t going around giving out loafs of bread to starving children, they were to busy denying them education and prosecuting them for stealing bread so they could put them to work in prison camps. With Democracy and laws, came taxation built on levels of ability to pay, the end of debtors prisons (when you could actually go to prison for life for not being able to pay someone you owed money to, can you imagine how many people would be in jail now if this law hadn’t been changed.) Government can’t solve all of our problems, but it can and should create a moral bone structure to hang our civilization’s body on.

As much as we like to pretend that we are all working on a level playing field with the same amount of talent, intelligence and acumen as everyone else. This is just blatantly untrue. Many of us our handicapped by our environments as children. We seem to be able to muster compassion for the abused child, but as soon as he turns 18 we seem to expect this person to magically be able to shake off the horrors of their childhood and compete in a game fixed by the wealthy.

I grew up in an area of Chicago that was very wealthy and I knew countless kids who were of average intelligence who went to ivy league schools because their parents were wealthy enough to give endowments to those institutions and it was family tradition to go to Harvard or Yale or Dartmouth. Is that fair? No. All the conservatives who claim B.S. on the whole affirmative action thing don’t complain about the wealthy legacy kids who get in with subpar SAT scores and average grades. Because it’s really not that they mind the game being rigged, they just want it rigged in their favor. And the people who are in power in the political arena (especially on the Republican side) are from extremely privelaged backgrounds. This hasn’t always been the case, but in the last 30 years the Republican party has drifted into the lane that promotes corporatism, gives a pass to the wealthiest one percent and turns a blind eye toward graft. The Democrats still have real people participating, like Bill Clinton (despite his personal sex addiction problems and foibles) he was a real guy who was raised by a single mother, in a poor family and through his brilliance and determination made something of himself. This is the America I believe in. This is the America I want to see win out. I don’t want our country to become a feudal one, where the wealthy one percent control us through their lobbyists and corporations. I want all Americans to be represented and to have a voice. I want to stay a democracy and not be bowled over by corporate interests masquerading as moral voices.

You know, the Democrats aren’t all that. They are really annoying and pretty lame. They don’t take the reigns, they blather around, seem to try to bend to too many voices and don’t have the passion it takes to convince others to get on board. This has been their problem now for over 30 years and I totally understand why they upset people who want things to be dealt with cleanly. Democrats don’t do this. For those (and this is the majority of Americans) who want decisive, clear leadership the Democrats don’t always know how to provide this. The Republicans have a huge advantage here, they have a common goal that binds them together which the Democrats don’t have. Democrats go into public service for all kinds of different reasons with all kinds of different agendas and are forced to compromise and work together in a quilt work fashion.

The Republicans have the binding passion of greed which they found a way to sell (ironically) to average Americans as Christian morality. However their policies and private lives show nothing of them living up to their supposed morality.  I’m going to refer you to an earlier post here about the shadow self as it applies to the split that Republicans utilize to sell their advocacy for the wealthiest taking not only the share they already have but more of yours too so that the money can “trickle down.” Or so they want you to believe.

So far I haven’t been to any developing nation or as Jeff aptly stated, communist country, where the money ever managed to trickle down. Once those on top have anything their heart could ever desire at their fingertips why would they randomly want to share it with strangers? This goes against human nature. We are naturally selfish creatures which is why we have laws, moral codes, and religions that teach us how to be more than just self-absorbed, self-satisfying, opportunistic, uncompassionate beasts.

Let me just say here as an example I’ve known many very famous people (through my work). They can have anything they want whenever they want it, no one ever says “no” to them. They often surround themselves with adoring admirers (not all but many do this) and see themselves as better than everyone else. They often get sucked into a weird cartoonish state of being where they are living entirely a life of the ego. They may have started out as good people and are not necessarily bad people, but they loose percpective and do horrible things to others because they  no longer see other people as human beings anymore. And how could they? They are not participating in real relationships anymore, just the ego heroine of fame feeding their insatiable insecurity and making them more and more pathologically narcissistic.

My point is, we all need to be held accountable. And we live in a very narcissistic culture where value has been placed on being special, famous and wealthy to the exclusion of common sense and common decency. It seems anything goes if you can get rich or famous from it.  I don’t believe in that. I believe in personal integrity and spiritual growth both of those values are almost impossible to hold onto once a person becomes famous or insanely wealthy (I’m not talking comfortable or even rich but in that one percent club wealthy.)

Spiritual growth requires honest mirroring by loved ones and the world around you which the obscenely rich and famous don’t get from others anymore because that person becomes objectified and identified as a symbol, no longer allowing others to have real exchanges. While this is great for the ego, no one ever disagrees with you, you are always the greatest genius and everyone stops to listen to what you have to say, you actually, eventually become something of a persona, an empty shell, and often this can lead to great feelings of isolation, depression and obsessive behavior. Which is why so many celebrities have drug problems.

And of course in the case of the insanely wealthy, everyone wants a piece of their pie, and they can’t trust anyone around them. They never really know if people love or care about them for who they are or for the money they have. You think this problem sounds easy, but it’s actually very messy and dark and leads to behavior like Bernie Madoff who so desperately needed to stay in that special billionare club that he started ripping people off when the market started going down and he realized it was easier to con people than to actually invest their money. This is the sickness that can happen with outrageous overabundance as Christ said, “it’s easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.” Because the disassociation that happens with that sort of wealth leads to callousness, and  bad behavior.

Average people like my in-laws, who are Republicans, make the mistake of believing that heads of corporations and the super wealthy have the same values they do. Let me tell you, they don’t. Their values are so far a flung from ordinary Americans that they may as well be Martians. There are of course good people who are exceptions and do amazing humanitarian work with the money they have made, but really they are probably less than one percent of the ubber rich.

While we all fantasize that our problems would go away and life would be perfect if we were just rich and famous, the opposite is actually true. Being in the spotlight only magnifies problems and immense wealth creates an emotional telescoping phenomena where your ability to relate to people who are struggling financially disappears and instead of feeling compassion for those people the wealthy find a bizarre righteous anger toward the unfortunate so they can stave off their guilt at not doing anything to help.

So what I want to say is that I don’t believe we can leave people’s lives, health and education up to the potential good graces of the wealthy one percent. I’ll leave everyone with this weird random example. The first time I went to London, when I was in my early 20s I met a guy who was a monarchist. I actually didn’t even know they still existed. He believed that the best form of government was what he called a “benevolent monarchy.” He explained that in that system things got done quickly and the benevolent king to good care of all of his subjects, sort of like a good dad takes care of all of his kids. But then I said, “But what happens if the monarch is not benevolent, like King Henry or Caligula.”

“Well, I’m talking about a benevolent monarchy,” he firmly stated again.

“Yes, but that’s the problem if its a monarchy the people can’t do anything to get rid of the next in line and what if they’re crazy or a horrible person. In a democracy you can vote a nut jobber out of office. There are checks and balances in place that help eliminate the possibility of someone terrible taking over.”

And again his answer was, “Well, I’m talking about a benevolent monarchy.”

What we do in our Democracy with checks and balances, laws and amendments had its counter part in the world of business as regulations and the notion that corporations being led by the best people would perform the best and therefore those leaders would continue to move skyward. But instead with deregulation came easy money through scams, the ability to lie about your company, to cheat your shareholders and to fail upwards based on lies and fudging numbers.

Our country is as much about capitalism as it is about democracy. And in order for capitalism to survive it needs to have enforceable rules to play by or no one on the world stage is going to want to play with us anymore. Those toxic loans we bought up that have been helping the stock market, are helping because by our government standing behind our corporations we are saying to the world, we screwed up and we won’t let everyone fall down, we stand behind our system and we want to continue playing ball with everyone. If we didn’t do this the entire world economy would fall apart due to lack of confidence in us the champions of capitalism.

Anyway, enough blabbing.

Best wishes to all and many blessings,

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Hi Everyone, as promised here are the rest of the questions I didn’t get to. Those who posted on Saturday and Sunday and don’t see their questions here will find answers tomorrow. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Tina

Hello, Denise–

Thank you so much for your public service! I had an observation and a couple of questions for you.

According to this site, McCain was born at 6:25 PM in Colon, Panama, which would change his rising sign and shift his houses:

http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrology-news/john-mccain-natal-chart.php

Not that it matters much now, but does this change your reading of him?

Next, I’ve been feeling that because of the mass layoffs that are pending, Obama will be forced to implement single-payer healthcare even though he doesn’t advocate it now. What do you think?

Finally, do you think Bush and Cheney orchestrated the 9/11 attacks as some groups suggest? If so, will this come to light any time soon?

Thanks again,

Tina

Hi Tina,

First I asked the question to the tarot: Will Obama be forced to implement single payer healthcare?

The tarot answered: Yes.

It looks like money is the main reason. There won’t be enough of it to go around with so many companies going under. And he will be forced to rethink the healthcare situation. But it looks like it will draw on other strengths and cover people who are unemployed as well. So it may actually be better then what he originally proposed.  It looks like the role of private companies won’t be as great in this new plan. They will not be able to take the burden on. (I have to admit I didn’t know what you were referencing until after I did the reading and interpretation, I then googled the term.)

And thanks so much for the updated McCain information! Actually this chart is better in many ways. His Aquarius moon explains his “maverick” status and eleviates some of the bad aspects the other chart had made to the economy. This being said, I have seen the “wrong” chart be more accurate about a particular situation then a person’s natal, this is akin to horary astrology in how it works. There was some reason the universe put this out there, and this off chart actually fit McCain during this very negative campaign much more than his real natal chart, which he now seems to be manifesting again. That being said, his chart still has many bad aspects to the Dow, and would have made the economic crisis much worse than Obama’s.

Also its interesting to note that I have seen people with a preponderance of planets in the 7th (a stellium in astrological terms) house have either narcissistic tendencies or outright NPD. Both McCain and Palin have this chart configuration. The reason being is the 7th house is the public, partners and public enemies, it is what we project onto others and people with NPD (or those with NPD tendencies) are not introspective, but rather blame others for their mistakes because they can’t deal with their own imperfections.  I’ll go into an an analysis of the two of them in the next post as there is a question relating to it coming up.

Now on to answering the other question of whether 9/11 was orchestrated by Bush/Cheney. The answer in short is, no. But, I do believe they knew it was going to happen, and used it to their advantage in the same way FDR used Pearl Harbor to get us into WWII, something we as a country did not want to get into after WWI. Of course in FDR’s case we had a moral obligation to save Europe, and weren’t using a horrific event to start a “preemptive war,” or more appropriately to invade a sovereign nation, but rather to save democracy in Europe, and millions more from genocide.

The months leading up to 9/11 I had dreams of being in falling skyscrapers. The tower card, which if you’ve ever seen it literally looks like the images of those that were taken on 9/11, came up no matter who or what I did a reading for. On 9/10 I couldn’t sleep, had a terrible feeling something horrible was going to happen. I stayed up all night and by chance turned on the TV just as the first plane struck the world trade center. I called some family members and friends, told them the reporters were wrong it wasn’t an accident, then the next airplane struck.

I was on the phone with my mother when I told her it was Bin Laden and that both towers were going to fall. I don’t believe the conspiracy theories about explosives already being in those buildings, my father was an architectural engineer, and the fact that those towers were so massive, and the skeleton of those buildings was metal, it was just physics at that point that told me, they would fall. The intensity of the heat bent the frame  and the weight of the building did the rest making it collapse story by story. It’s logical. I know some disagree with me, but it really is logic and perhaps I had the advantage of having those falling skyscraper dreams to prepare me for it, so it wasn’t a surprise.

A friend of mine called later that morning, and told me he felt it was Cheney/Bush who had done the deed and I told him, no, it was Bin Laden they’re just going to take advantage of it. I was sure they knew about it, actually I would go as far as saying they let it happen on purpose, but they did not directly do it. I just don’t have that feeling. Never did. I think the conspiracy here is that they had more than just a memo that Condy ignored, they allowed the atrocity to happen so they could use the fear and pain to bulldoze the constitution, expand the power of the executive branch and control of the government. They didn’t need to do the deed, there are enough people in the world who hate us for our policies in the middle-east. But they are guilty of not stopping it and guilty of using it to their advantage and just as guilty of those who did do it because they knew and did nothing to stop it.

I believe that if the Supreme Court hadn’t appointed Bush, and the recount would have happened, and Gore then would have won; 9/11 would have been stopped. I remember a speech Gore gave just before election day that had the weird, eerie feeling of being a premonition — he mentioned it was our country’s choice whether we would wake up to birds singing, and rainbows or to a stormy day, something to that effect at least. I took note of it, and boy was he ever right in his prediction.

Hi Denise: Thanks for answering my questions about Sarah Palin. Both Palin and McCain have said that they love and respect each other, is this really true or is their honeymoon over and they’re just putting on a show? Are the things that the McCain campaign aides are saying about her all true and she’s denying them because it’s embarassing to her? Also, about the dreams you’ve been having about Alaska, will the authorities or the CIA find out about this and will they be publicly exposed? Thanks

Hi Tckal,

I’m going to put up the new chart I have on McCain with Sarah Palin’s chart and let you look at how similar they are in many ways. Then do some analysis.

picture-4It’s no wonder Palin likes to kill things with that Sun, Mars, Saturn conjunction! Man that’s aggressive and insanely ambitious. But her chart is better suited to her previous career of being a sports caster. However, with that Venus in Aries in the 8th she loves her some power and is very egomanical, and being a sports caster doesn’t give the same satisfaction as bossing around her minions and asserting her warped belief system on the masses.

Now, actually McCain and Palin do have a lot of positive aspects between the two so I would bet they actually do really like each other personally, but with Palin’s Pluto on McCain’s Neptune he would have felt her to be too controlling and once they were partners, he doubted her loyalty to him, and had fears she would try to out manevuer him (and rightly so).

With her stellium in Aquarius and his in Virgo, both in late degrees inconjuncting one another, it would have been hard keeping them together as this indicates a parting of ways. I doubt they’ll be going out to coffee anytime soon, but there is a genuine fondness between them. However, their staffs, well that’s another story. Based on their charts the people that work for each of them would have found the opposite team grating, annoying and difficult.

Now onto the next part of the question. I’ve wondered that myself. I’ll ask the tarot.

The authorities are not currently aware or looking into AIP seriously at this point.

I asked the tarot if AIP was planning some sort of terrorism against the US. The answer was: Maybe.

But the scary thing, is that the tower card came up, right side up this time, Death reversed at the center. (There were a bunch of negative cards) let me just say that it looks like there is something in the works down the road, I feel it is bubbling, but at this point it may not come to pass. I will keep tabs on it. There are some people involved in this group that HATE the US and want to destroy it. That being said I don’t know how much they can do within that group or if it will ferment into anything just yet. It looks like the seeds are there, but they haven’t been sown just yet.

Back to money and such, could you run charts on Oil and Gold futures?

here are two ways to follow oil; they should have similar results :
NYMEX Crude Oil Futures started trading on 3/30/1983 on the New York Mercantile Exchange (also began on Chicago Board of Trade that day, but it no longer trades there), at either 9AM or 1030AM – prob 1030am. NYMEX symbol CL (not to be confused with the stock CL, trading on NYSE [ny stock exchange])

USO, United States Oil Fund, an exchange-traded fund, started trading 4/10/2006, NYSE, 930 AM

Similar two ways for gold, and they should look the same, too:
Commodities Exchange, Inc. (COMEX) Gold futures began trading at 1201AM on 12/31/1974, New York; COMEX and NYMEX merged in 1994 and the NYMEX symbol is GC

GLD, Spdr Gold Trust, an exchange-traded fund, began trading 11/18/2004 on the NYSE, 930AM.

I don’t know if this affects the chart, but any of these would have been “born” – created – before those dates, but the only thing that’s easily available is the day they began trading publicly.

Hi Javahaaa,

Thanks for the excellent and detailed information, it makes my job so much easier! The public trading date is the one that would matter in this case since we are looking at what its going to do in the public arena. I ran all the charts. Here are the oil charts with analysis to follow:

picture-7

I really want to study these charts some more before I give an analysis, because the aspects are complicated there are both good and bad things going on and I want to make sure to give sound advice. I will look at this and the oil question, ponder it tonight, and write a detailed post regarding this. I don’t want to mislead anyone, so I think its important to be thorough here.

Here are the gold charts for those interested in evaluating it as well. Again I will post detailed analysis in the next day or so. I want to be sure I get it right.

Really enjoy your commentary, Denise! Do you see any recovery in the Dow or Nasdaq between now and when the tsunami begins late December? How much? Could you also run a chart for the S&P 500?

Hi Javahaa: Sorry to put this issue off, but there are multiple charts and its complicated. I don’t want to  potentially be responsible for someone making a bad decision in terms of their investments. I will again post more detailed analysis on the S&P 500 tomorrow. I think I should really just do a post all about issues regarding money tomorrow. It is a bit complicated when there is more than one chart for something. I have a lot more to weigh, and compare so I don’t want to give bad advice.

More questions to answer over the next day or so, along with those of you who posted today and tonight:

Hi,

Some random questions:

1) What do you think about Laura Bush?

2) Bush, Cheney, Karl Rove and many GOP’ers are praising Obama. Do you think this is genuine or they are just playing along?

3) Will India play a role in the Obama administration, especially with regards to Pakistan?

Thanks!

Best wishes to all of you and many blessings!

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Here is the first question:

mmmr

Did the Bush-Cheney campaign engage in electronic vote fraud in 2004 on Ohio to ensure that George W. Bush would be president for another four years?

The tarot says: Yes.

It looked like they knew if they didn’t Bush/Cheney would loose and it was a close enough and they had the people in place to get away with voter fraud. They also knew that a court case would be eminent but it would be of little consequence to them as the presumptive winners.

And the next two come from Tckal:

Hi Denise: I’m really curious as to whether Obama will win Arizona and Alaska, the McCain and Palin home states. Do you see Obama turning those states blue? Thanks!

Will Obama win Arizona?

The cards say: Yes. But I find it hard to believe as this is McCain’s home state and traditionally red. But according to the cards, it’s a pretty strong yes. It looks like it could be because of the hispanic vote which is really going for Obama. And McCain is seen as married to the establishment, also to the problems going on in the world right now and the Bush administration.

Will Obama win Alaska?

They don’t trust Obama.

But it looks like they don’t really like McCain much. The people of Alaska like their bigger oil checks (some would call this welfare and re-distributing the wealth.) So the majority are really voting for Palin partially because of the notoriety she has brought to their state, and because of those fat oil checks. She actually has more in common with the socialism of oil rich Scandinavian countries then Obama does with his rich people should pay higher taxes scheme. Wow, that’s so radical. It’s only been the income tax code since its inception about a hundred years ago. Anyway, her painting Obama as a Socialist or a Marxist is about as ludicrous as calling Palin Einstein.

tckal

…and also those currently tied states (Montana and North Dakota) that were always red until recently. Thanks Denise!

Will Obama/Biden win Montana?

The tarot says: Yes.

I was a bit shocked by this. It looks like a pretty amazing victory there. It looks very good for Obama where I wouldn’t think it possible.

Will Obama/Biden win North Dakota:

The cards say that’s still a toss up. Right now it is too close to call and it looks like it could go either way. The hearts and minds of the people there are still undecided. They are very nervous, anxious and afraid and want a change but they aren’t sure which way to go just yet.

The last question is from Tjuania:

Tjuania in Desoto, Texas

THANK YOU,,,,,,,, I am getting so nervous about this election. There is a higher power looking over this election. I was wondering there was a report yesterday about “two skin-heads”, who were plotting the assasination of Barack Obama and killing at least 70 African- American students.

Will we as African- American parents have to be worried about these types of incidents in the next 4 years?

Yes, there is a higher power protecting this election. And something much more powerful going on then I have ever seen in my lifetime. I believe we are at a crossroads. It is a time of reckoning. Not the kind Evangelic’s are trying to usher in, but a true reckoning where karma will be wrought. And no amount of phony contrition will be accepted. Remember in the New Testament it says: And the meek shall inherit the earth. Well, we will see the fall of those who abused their power to control and pervert others. We’ve already seen many of these Evangelic preachers fall and many wall street big wigs, too. And this trend will continue. Many probably will loose their faith in Christianity as well they should. Because they have been mislead.

I’m sorry to say the answer to your question is, yes.

We will see those who have nothing to fuel their sense of superiority and entitlement except hatred get very angry over Obama’s win. We will see a rise in all forms of xenophobia, all sorts of hate crimes not just against African-American people, but against, gay people, Jewish people, Hispanic people, Muslim’s, Indian/Pakistanis, you name it, anyone and everyone who is a minority or seen as the other. This is because there are those who have a sense of entitlement linked to their race. Most of these people have nothing else to feel superior about, they lack education are not very intelligent and often live cloistered lives without any real interaction with people who look different then they do.

However, this will be brewing for the next few years, but we won’t actually see the real trouble burst out until about 2011 when Uranus will go into Aries. I fear we will see some really bad stuff then. More organized hate groups doing things like bombing black churches, mosques and Jewish temples. I really hope I’m wrong, but I do feel this incredible divide happening in this country. Those who wish to move forward and are open, compassionate and all inclusive (in the old days what was called liberal) and those who are full of venom, and I’ll just say it because it is what it is, as ignorant as some of these people are their leaders are evil and these people are choosing to go toward fear, intolerance and hatred instead of love, kindness and compassion. We are in a very karmic time.

I find it ironic that many of those who call themselves Christian seem to be more infatuated with the old testament rather then Christ’s teachings which were meant to supersede the old testament, you know that book called, the New testament. Christ would never have condoned gay bashing, hatred toward other people because of their race, sex, sexual orientation or for anything this current crop of Christians demonize. As a matter of fact these Christian ministers getting rich, living high on the hog, speaking to stadiums full of followers and flying around in private jets would make Christ sick. It was Christ who freaked out on the money changers in front of the temple and said, “It is easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to get into heaven.” The reason being, wealth and power often corrupt the spirit with greed and selfishness. These are not qualities befitting a spiritual leader. But yet, these people call themselves Christian.
