Ceres the Other Dwarf Planet

Ceres was discovered January 1, 1801, literally on the first day of the 19th century, by Giuseppe Piazzi, looking for a star. This happened well into the enlightenment and ironically it would be about 30 years later that the Holy Roman Empire dissolved. Ceres before she became known for her relationship to farmers, crops and cereal. She was interconnected with Roman law and the development of the alphabet. Obviously, she is an excellent choice for co-ruler/ruler of Virgo. More on this later…

The Dwarf Planets Varuna & Quaoar

More info to put under your hat regarding the dwarf planets. It’s my feeling as I research that there seems to be an anima and an animus side of each side which perhaps the recent find of the dwarf planets will enlighten us on.

Varuna seems like a non-gender specific, kinder gentler version of Saturn. The Goddess/God (switches back and forth in representation) rules time, morality and keeping the chaotic order. Also He/She is the keeper of the celestial waters, which again relates to Capricorn and the sea-goat.

And my feeling Quaoar is a co-ruler or Aquarius. Quaoar is a Togva people Creator Being who sings the world into being first creating the other Gods and Goddesses — a similar theme to the tree of life or the Kabbalah. There is no gender associated with Quaoar which is also true for Uranus (as he was castrated) and Aquarius which although is part of the masculine air triad, the sign for Aquarius is either a man or a woman pouring water out of an urn. The symbolism being the milk of human kindness given freely — thus the humanitarian nature associated with Aquarius.

Quaoar’s association with music might seem Pisces-like but there is another new dwarf planet that fits Pisces better and Quaoar’s gender-less-ness fits the sign of Aquarius because heavy Aquarius in a chart or Uranus involvement, are often an indication of people who don’t readily fit into a gender identity or sexuality.

Hi all, I’m currently working on deconstructing the dwarf planets — Pluto being one of them, the one wreaking havoc right now. So of course I wanted to address Farah’s comment, which is here:

 farah

Eris’s original nickname was Xena and I think that that is the name that should have remained. The symbolic energy surrounding Xena mythologically speaking (even though Xena is a modern invention) is much higher and more positive than the concept of a goddess of discord and strife.

Hi Farah,

Xena was the dwarf planet’s nickname while Mike Brown decided on a mythological name. At the time I e-mailed him back in 03, I didn’t realize there was a rule that heavenly bodies had to be named after ancient God/Goddesses. I actually wrote to him begging him not to name the planet something stupid, and to pick a Goddess as there are so few represented. I had one in mind, but unfortunately the name was already taken.

I agree that the Goddess of discord and strife is pretty negative, and I wish he hadn’t named this very large “dwarf planet,” after a Goddess that was supposed to love the sight of human blood being spilled.

She is actually the sister of Aries, another warrior God. She’s pretty gnarly. And we’ll have to see how she plays out over the coming years. Right now Eris is at 21 degrees Aries. And Eris has been in Aries starting way back in 1924, so you see she is very slow moving. It takes about a century for her to change signs, so perhaps we will see a corrolation between her energy, and that of the century, in which case we are still lingering in the 20th and haven’t quite made it to the next level. Interesting to note when Eris was in Pisces it was during the enlightenment, and when in Aries: it was the age of self-realization, modern art, the sexual revolution, and a general push toward exploring the self (also the “Me” generation fits squarely in the center of her reign.)

Let’s hope Eris was unfairly named, and perhaps is more about the general color of the mass consciousness, perhaps the deep dark id-like side of humanity, or the life blood of a century rather than just her horrible reputation as being a viscious death mongering blood letting, cold, malacontent, Goddess of chaos.

I wonder if perhaps her story, and her attributes changed over time as the Greeks became more patriarchal. This is a common theme, demonizing Goddesses as a culture turns from the feminine aspects of God for political reasons to support the new patriarchal system, and thereby changes the attributes of a Goddess. This was also done in the bible where several demons were actually, at one time, Goddesses and Gods that the ancient Jews worshipped before becoming monotheistic. It’s a common political-religious tool to frighten people into a new belief system that enforces a new political structure.

Thank you Denise for your advice on Minara Resources, MRE, The company was born in Perth, Western Australia not Sydney, Australia despite this, the reading was accurate in that they were doing very well in 2006. Would this have much affect on the overall accuracy of the astrological reading? When I read and re -read some of your answers to our questions there is a thread throughout that somehow gives me faith and peace (something I haven’t had recently) that the worlds economy wont end but transform, even though our foundations, our basic security is under threat, and there will be massive changes and challenges to come, there is a larger picture that is ultimately for the good. At the end of the day materialism isn’t what it is made out to be and can often create so much misery as seen in our Western worlds. My gratitude to you for helping me see this.

Hi Louis,

The timing would be slightly off with a city change, but the basic chart would be the same. Also if this stock is traded in Sydney then it would likely take on the timing of Sydney.

I’m very glad i could help you feel better during this period. These are growing pains and if we all stay involved and demand our world become a better place, it will be.
Best wishes to all of you and many blessings,

Denise

The first from Grace:

I am a hobbist genealogist. I have several long deceased relatives I would like to know what they were like. Have you ever done a chart on a deceased person? If I have a date and time of death, how do I use that?

My great grandfather died of swine flu in 1918. His brother died that same year in WWI. I can find military records for Uncle Glenn, but nothing for Grandpa Benjamin. I would love to know more about these two men, but have exhausted all other sources. It seems like their deaths sent the whole family into a downward spiral.

I don’t have birth times naturally, but I don’t think that will matter in this case. Can you use dates from the distant past to see how they impacted the future?

Thanks!

Hi Grace,

You can run a solar chart. And yes you can see how they effected the world through their charts, and of course, what sorts of things they went through based on that info. You won’t know exactly what. and when things happened without a birth time, but you can really tell a lot about their personalities; how they interacted with people, their passions, their weaknesses, most definitely. if you want to post their birth dates I can run solar charts for you, and do an analysis to show everyone how this works.

  Hi Denise,

I would love to know your thoughts on the Illinois governor (Blagojevich) scandal. Somehow this man seems so caught up in his ego that he literally doesn’t ‘get’ what he has done and feels like he answers to nobody but himself (is my humble opinion). I hope this won’t drag out very far into 2009 if at all, but most likely there will be a lot of mud sliding downhill for quite some time with this scandal. This time period almost seems like a ‘karmic’ cycle in the world. And, those that are corrupt will definately feel the effects. I personally feel that once Obama and his team get into office, that they are going to uncover unprecedented amounts of previous corruption and scandal that we have NEVER seen in anyones lifetime (especially in the financial, banking, auto industry, etc.). And, they are thankfully the right team to clean it up!

Best wishes to you Denise!

Hi Wyntyr,

The dude looks like a cartoon of a slimy used car salesman. How did this man even win? Seriously, he has such gross energy. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the guy. He’s just a bad stereo type of a political hack. I think he got confused, and thought he was living in the Soviet Union, because how ridiculous is this whole thing? He not only couldn’t sell Obama’s senate seat — I don’t want to even get into how stupid this guy has to be. And yes, I agree with you, we are seeing karma boomerang right now. It’s just the beginning. I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the Bush scandals in terms of them getting their due as well.

Interestingly there was a planet discovered a few years ago (in our solar system) by Mike Brown professor/scientist from Cal-Tech. There was some debate about whether it was really a “planet” or not because of its size and the fact that it was so far out of orbit. But it is actually bigger then Pluto which is why scientists started trying to say Pluto was no longer a planet. Long story short they decided trans-neptunian planets in the Kuiper Belt would be called dwarf planets, lame but anyway, I e-mailed Mike Brown about the importance of picking the right name, which was his responsibility since he found it, telling him how important a name is, especially to the collective unconscious, blah, blah. I begged him to pick a Goddess name since there were so few and also to try and stay within the same pantheon all the other planets were named for. He wrote me back and told me he was on it. I had suggested a name but there was already an asteroid with that name and they couldn’t have two heavenly bodies with similar names due to some regulation. So he ended up picking Eris, Goddess of strife. This was decided in 2006.

Interestingly enough Uranus, ruler of revolutions was discovered in-between the French revolution and our revolution. I don’t think its a coincidence that Eris was found when she was. As I see it she is a warning about the difficulties ahead. I want to do more research on her mythology but to make a long story short I think her discovery was a foreshadowing of a new period, one in which karma becomes more instant, and where reaction follows action almost immediately. I’ll do some research and write a post about this. Here’s a link to basic info about Eris: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eris_(dwarf_planet)

Bed time. I’m working on a number of posts, one regarding the outer planets and how they effect us and I guess now one on Eris.

Best wishes and many blessings to all,

Denise
