The Last Word on the Election

I had a ghostly visit ironically on All Souls Day – November 1st. I don’t usually have these sort of visits. And they had sort of died down – no pun intended there. I can tune into spirits when asked, but it was never my thing. And it wasn’t until about 6 months before I got pregnant that I started seeing ghosts just pop in without any reaching out on my part or being in a haunted house, etc.

It started at the Grove (of all places) a busy outdoor mall in Hollywood that my deceased father appeared next to me. I was sitting down waiting for my husband who was shopping inside (talk about role reversal) and just relaxing. All of a sudden I felt someone pull up the chair next to me. When I turned to see who it was – there was no one there, but I felt my father’s presence and he materialized. We had a nice conversation and he continued to follow me around for several years. He died when I was ten and I’d never been contacted by him before so it was really a major surprise to say the least. I asked why he was there (turns out he was there to deliver my kid from the other side and warn me that I might die but that’s another story).

So back to my main story; the ghosts were around for the year before my kid and a couple of years after. It had been a while since I had an unexpected visit. But to my surprise I was listening to NPR and all the back and forth about how tight the election was – how it might take weeks to get a count, etc. And I just was thinking to myself I didn’t believe it at all.

I got out of my car and saw my aunt. Actually an old conservative Republican in life but now a much happier, more relaxed spirit. She was laughing and told me that indeed I was going to turn out to be right. And the part of the statement I had heard that “Obama is going to win the election but it’s going to be a real nail bitter even though it shouldn’t be,” the part about “it shouldn’t be,” always confounded me a bit. Did they mean that Romney was such a lesser man, or it wasn’t in Romney’s fate or that shenanigans were going to make the race tighter than it actually was? I really couldn’t tell and since that statement I had been trying to decode it. I finally came to the understanding that it was all of the above and to this my Aunt affirmed as did her mother (my grandmother) whom I had never met in life. They were both giddy and excited about all of it and some other things that they were vague about that seemed to be related to me and my family, but anyway – just VOTE and remember you count. And WE the PEOPLE will win this time.

Our next goal will making sure it stays that way. I guarantee you Obama’s win will push the zealots on the right to even greater extremes and after exploiting all the racism – next will come the intense misogyny and attacks on women’s rights. However the women of this nation will not go quietly into the night. I am starting to believe that the discovery of Eris will be about this very thing – feminist revolutions due to the attempts of those in power who will continue to try to control and take women’s rights away. Problem will be for them – we won’t go quietly into the night and if anything this very issue could be the impetus for the next wave of revolutions – guerilla style. I will save all the visions I’ve been having about this subject for after the election.

ERIS is here and she isn’t going away.

For now we will enjoy our victory – those who want a level playing field and democracy for all.

But always remember how fragile our democracy has become and how easily corrupted. It has only been because of the work of some decent people in government that we don’t live in a theocratic plutocracy (BTW Romney would pretty much cement that path having been a BISHOP in his church and a solid Plutocrat.) It will be vitally important now more than ever that PEOPLE really be INFORMED and know history, educate themselves and stay active in politics or we will be conceding our nation to the corrupt and all that has been positive about our legacy will be seen through the dirty glasses of a very dark history.

Best to all and to all a great voting day!

The Last Word on the Election

Eris… answering a reader…

I’m reprinting what the reader Abra wrote. I agree that whenever we look at new rulerships we should not end old ones because both are true. Eris ruler of Libra isn’t saying that Venus isn’t a co-ruler, I do think it explains why Libras are very intellectual and tactical as well as being artistic. I don’t think this side of Libra has been properly examined and perhaps as we move forward Libras will utilize these abilities even more and our world will have a need for this in ways we can’t yet imagine.

Planets/celestial bodies are found during certain periods of time for a reason. Eris was found when we were at war in the Iraq and Afghanistan and shortly after the largest act of terrorism was every perpetrated, the game went up another notch. Now there were actually a lot of planetoids found during this period, so each will have to be sorted for what it all means. But what the Goddess Eris did was a form of guerrilla warfare and one can see the parallel. I won’t go into all of it because I don’t think it will fairly represent my point about Eris to bring up what happened that terrible day.

However, to those who felt marginalized and left behind while the rest of the world was enjoying prosperity and moving forward, that tactic did work to set in motion a ghost war – a war against a tiny invisible beast that we could never find the head of. However if one were on the side of those who felt invisible and marginalized the moment was a triumph against what felt like some sort of oppression through projection, better known as jealousy, very much the same motivation which led Eris to throw the apple into the wedding party.

So if one is a Libra or has strong Libra in the chart (and more Americans have Libra rising than any other sign) then perhaps this was a wake-up call to our own darker nature. We are competitive to the point of squashing all competition – just look at why the banks and almost all of our industry is failing. It isn’t just greed, it’s an insipid need to do better, be better than the next person. One has to wonder why? Perhaps the gentler nature of Venus who was a guide for so long to this sign, has receded due to our darker nature.

We as a whole have the chance now to look at what all of this means from all sides and use the powers of Eris for good or Evil (as in the case of 9/11). Eris energy itself isn’t either – simply put the Goddess represents strife which is just a human condition, it’s how we deal with that strife that elevates us and gives us the opportunity to move to a higher level of consciousness.

Here are the messages from the reader Abra:

Abra: I am a libra w/a Aries asc…and I love to cook, love good wine, am sensual. I am direct and prefer to be above board. I can relate to being a fighter but I don’t think I want to give up Venus as my ruling planet. According to ancient Maya, Venus sitings were associated with war/aggression. On a side note, when my mother started taking astrology classes when I was 9, I learned that my ruling planet was Venus…..so I told everyone in my 3rd grade class that I was from Venus. The teacher called home needless to say :)
Ever loving the Morning Star/Evening Star,
Abra

* Let me just note she has an Aries ascendant. The ascendant is actually more important in facilitating how one interacts with the world than anything else in a person’s chart. Aries people are very open and direct, and are willing to fight for what they believe in.

Abra:

I looked @ another website that called Eris Nibiru….now that’s a name I am very familiar with.

Interesting the association with Enoch and UFOs. Eris the planetoid was named after the ancient Greek Goddess of Strife who was the sister of Aries. But thanks for the tip there could be more information hidden in the name and it makes sense with what I’ve found so far. There will be more encoded in her name than I have figured out and am prepared to spend a lifetime studying it. If one looks up Eris Nibiru, one will find a connection to global warming, UFOs and Enoch who ancient astronaut theorists have linked to aliens. Having worked with that energy I can tell you, I’m sure it is alien. It does not feel human at all – in fact it has a rather cold and hyper-intellectual energy that feels as if one is tapping into a much more highly evolved intelligence than our own. It however does not feel angelic to me. At first I wasn’t sure, but after working with angelic energy as well, angelic energy is much more akin to human energy. They aren’t emotionally cold and heady like Enochian energies.

Best wishes,

Denise

Combat Ends in Iraq… The astrology

I’m posting the chart for the end of the war in Iraq or at least this phase, the combat phase. For some reason I can not get the stupid chart to load. But anyway I’ll just delineate it for everyone and give a link to a place one can go to get the chart for free if you want it.

Interesting to note that there was a grand fire trine with Sun in the chart’s 1st house, Moon in the 5th and Eris is completing it in the 9th. Positive energy for us pulling out and restoring some faith abroad about our intentions and helping to heal our image, and good will (5th house). If one looks at this chart (which I calculated for about 3:51 AM Baghdad, Iraq time) at first glance (and without Eris) it doesn’t really look monumental. But I believe this chart actually confirms the idea of Eris being the ruler of martial strategy and the sign of Libra. The fact that is the most elevated heavenly body in the chart at the top of the chart going from the 9th (foreign cultures and countries) and approaching the 10th indicates exactly the way we decided to get out of the country, under the cover of night without huge fanfare.

The fact that Mars, Venus and Saturn in the 3rd house all in Libra (Venus and Mars in tight conjunction with Saturn part of the stellium in a looser way) also a main feature of this chart, tell the story of us exiting in a non-confrontational way again under the cover of night and in the most harmonious way possible, in a very rational, orderly and sneaky way. Again showing the power of Eris – her ability to use psychology, the element of surprise and rational planning to win against her enemies or competitors. She doesn’t let them see her coming, like a great strategist she evaluates the situation uses everything she has and attacks in an unsuspected way using surprise to her advantage.

I did look at this chart as compared to the US signing of the constitution chart as well to see what impact this will have at home, especially in the financial sector.  Pluto has again (irregardless of us pulling out in Iraq) returned to 2 degrees Capricorn, a bad sign for our economy.

As Capricorn continues to hit this point over the next couple of years either business will be reformed, including banking – or I should say especially banking, and we will rise out of the ashes to a new economic paradigm for the better or if nothing is done and we continue down the path we have been on for the past 25 or more years and we will find ourselves waking not just to this new form of a Depression, but in a country that has more in common with those countries we would call “developing” than with our European cousins. I hope we can be brave enough, inventive enough and wise enough to reinvent ourselves. In general America and people in general are remarkably resilient and often have to get a lesson several times before it sinks in and something is done. So take heart any of you who have unique and inventive approaches to business, commerce, banking, technology for you shall rule the new world.

Best wishes to all,

Denise

Oh and to see the chart of Iraq go onto http://www.astro.com under the extended chart selection, put in the time I gave of 3:51 AM August 19, 2010 Baghdad, Iraq and highlight all the extra celestial objects.

Combat Ends in Iraq… The astrology

Rulerships: My list

So to break it down here’s how I see the rulerships:

Capricorn = Saturn

Aquarius = Uranus

Pisces = Neptune

Aries = Mars

Taurus = Venus

Gemini = Mercury

Cancer = Haumea

Leo = Make-Make

Virgo = Ceres

Libra = Eris

Scorpio = Pluto

Sagittarius = Jupiter

And there you go.

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot is the notion of not just rulerships but dignities and of course where planets would now be considered in their fall. In the old system Mars rules Aries so its opposite sign of Libra is considered a weak place for Mars to be and thus in its fall. So accordingly if one were to apply these ideas to the new rulerships I have mentioned Ceres rules Virgo and thus would be in its fall in Pisces, Haumea rules Cancer and thus is in its fall in Capricorn, Make-Make would be in its fall in Aquarius and Eris in its fall in Aries.

However, I don’t put much stock in rulerships and the weakened point  of a fall, meaning I don’t find that a planet is necessarily stronger in its “natural” sign or weaker in its fall. The planet just has an easier flow of energy (in my opinion) and the same could be said for the opposite that a planet in its fall is not weaker, it just operates in a way that is seemingly contrary to its organic nature. But often with opposites or rather planets in their fall they make just as much sense as any other sign would, and sometimes even more than most, take for example the ever expansive Jupiter which naturally rules Sagittarius – and Sagittarius rules higher education, the higher mind, philosophy and comedy, well Gemini rules lower education, the lower mind, writing – so one can see they actually have a lot in common and Jupiter hardly seems debilitated in Gemini, expanding the basic intellect and ground that Sagittarius arises from.

More on these ideas later…

Best to all,

Denise

Rulerships: My list

Eris – Rulership and Rehabilitation

After an astrologer friend suggested the notion that Eris was the true ruler of Libra I thought about it (for a very long time – about a year now). It was her opinion that Venus didn’t seem to be the true ruler of Libra but rather Taurus and we talked at length over the course of this year about the legend of Eris and some of the qualities that really don’t fit Libra. First of all there are more Libra generals than pretty much any other sign, they are amazing tacticians and well-known for being fierce competitors, and in my experience they are the most competitive of all signs. They are creative and visual, no doubt which is why they fell under the purview of Venus for so long. However they are not sensual like Venus, Taurus however is. Taurus loves great food, fine wine, beautiful things, and has a curvy sensuality that Libra is missing. Libras are more intellectual, more in their head and often disconnected from their bodies. While it is true that they like nice things as long as they are intellectually stimulated they can do without them. Taurus however needs to eat a great meal no matter how little money they have they will use what little they have on the perfect gourmet spice or amazing wine. They are also willing to work for other people without taking this on as their identity. They can separate work, seeing it as a means to an end – the end being a nice lifestyle where as a Libra would rather be a pauper who works for himself doing what he loves than a rich man who works for a paycheck just to support himself in a luxurious lifestyle. Now I’m not saying all Taurus people live a life of luxury, I’m just saying that work is work and their lives are not defined by it in the same way – it’s just a job. To a Libra its time wasted when they could be busy daydreaming or working on something of value to them personally.

At first I resisted the idea that Eris was the ruler of Libra after all she isn’t really considered a very “nice” Goddess and Libras are generally thought to be very nice – they avoid conflict, they don’t like disharmony and I have Mars in Libra and have many Libra friends so I felt sort of bad thrusting this sort of odd ball Goddess on them. However after much thought I think my friend’s observation is correct. Eris is the sister of Aries. Aries is the other side of the astrological coin to Libra. And in many ways she fits the Libra traits if we strip away some of the judgment put upon her by the ancients.

The legend or myth basically tells the story of a wedding in which all the Gods were invited except Eris (due to her association with disharmony). She was upset by this and came up with a strategy to get even in a very clever and covert way, she threw a golden apple into the proceedings which read: To the fairest. Of course all the egotistical Goddesses thought it was for them, Hera, Aphrodite and Athena. The three women fought over it and then asked Zeus to judge who the apple was for, being the father and husband he decided it wasn’t a good move to judge such a competition and asked Paris to do the honors. Each of the Goddesses offered him a bribe. Aphrodite’s won out and he was given the most beautiful mortal woman in the world to take as his wife Helen of Troy. This of course caused the Trojan war.

Now on the surface this is kind of a nasty thing to do, however one must admit that Eris was prejudged and instead of internalizing the hurt she turned it around in a clever way to make a point. She waged a war against those who had castigated her. If she had been a man, this would have been a sign of strength – she was in fact a warrior. Her strategy used psychology and surprise – very modern war methodology, in fact it very much resembles the Trojan horse that was to come in the wake of this supposed event. She used her enemies vanity and megalomania against them and in fact they are the ones who chose to respond with bribery and promises in order to win this imaginary and empty competition. She used her understanding of psychology to manipulate those who had hurt her, in order to teach them a lesson – after all they had been unfair to her.

Now her strategic genius would make sense in relationship with Libra. It would explain why there are so many generals who have been Libras and (I believe famous chess players as well). It would also explain the competitive spirit Libras have – the challenge they find and need to fuel them in their work, whether it is competing with themselves to do better, or with a rival they want to show up.

I was told by a prominent astrologer I studied with early on (many, many, many years ago) that there were more people born with Libra rising in the US than any other sign. He said it was something close to 50 percent (or something of that nature) totally out of balance with what one would expect, due to the fact that we are far north, and Libra rises for the longest period of time during most of the year. And we are by far the most competitive people on the planet, we take great pride in our work and love being entrepeneurs and working for ourselves.

In many ways Libras have much in common with Aries people, except Libras, instead of being direct and straightforward, work behind the scenes, get their ducks in a row and then strike. They don’t like being in the center of an arguments especially prolonged ones. They prefer to plan their attack and then let nature take its course. This can upset the apple cart, but that’s OK as long as they aren’t there when it turns over (much like Eris).

So instead of seeing Eris as the Goddess of Discord I prefer to take her back to what I imagine was probably her proper place – before her power was taken away due to the change from a matriarchal society into a patriarchal, and think of her as a supreme warrior and brilliant strategist capable of winning even when all the odds and all the Gods were against her!

I’ll dissect how it affects people as individuals and what it means in people’s charts in the next post on her.

Best wishes and many blessings,

Denise

Some Forward Movement on the Dwarf Planets…

Ceres which had once been considered a planet than downgraded to an asteroid has recently (the last couple of years) been put into the planetoid or dwarf planet category. Now it’s been my experience that “dwarf planets” are just as powerful as regular planets. Pluto, now a “dwarf planet” is a major butt kicker and in my humble opinion it’s more of a malefic than Saturn. Saturn will collect his toll but Pluto will put you in the grave if you aren’t paying attention or have unfinished karmic business.

We can be all love and light(y) about the planets and how they all teach us things and really it’s for our own good, but bad stuff does happen in this world. Let’s put it this way Charles Manson had a Scorpio stellium in his 8th house (the Scorpio house, one of the houses of death and the occult) so pretty much everything in Manson’s chart led back to Pluto. And if there was a personification of Pluto here on earth, it would pretty much be him. He was a cult leader, a murderer, a sexual abuser and somehow got kids from the suburbs to become sociopaths. If one wasn’t convinced of the validity of astrology than all one would have to do is be told a few basic things and a copy of Manson’s chart and it would be clear to a 10-year-old child that there was something strange going on between the two things.

So back to my point. I’ve found some interesting things out about Ceres. Ceres appears to rule nurturing, the ability to nurture and being nurtured as well or what nurtures a person. It is my opinion that Ceres is the actual (true) ruler of Virgo and Mercury is the ruler of Gemini. I believe we are figuring this out now because the earth is in desperate need of nurturing and people who have strong Virgo in their charts (that would be anyone born after 1960 until about 1971) would be the harbingers of a major turning point in the energy of the world. Until then we had been an agrarian culture, until about 60 years earlier when we had the industrial revolution, we lived close to the land. We had gone from hunting and gathering (in most parts of the world) to growing our own food and eating it. I still find this idea kind of weird, like eating one’s children – which is probably really weird that I find this weird, but it always has a creepy sort of thing about it, the idea of growing a plant so one can eat from it even though this is often a mutually beneficial relationship, it still weirds me out – which is why I have mint growing and can’t use it and strawberries I can’t find myself eating. I’m a freak what can I say.

Anyway, we went from finding our resources to cultivating our resources – this was a huge change and at that time our bodies actually changed. We evolved. According to some researchers even a new blood type came into being around that time, that blood type is A. Before this, human beings shared one universal blood type (which is why we can all use it when we need a blood transfusion) – O. The negative or positive after the blood type has to do with the RH factor, which is sort of another issue altogether. It’s extremely rare to be RH negative, I think less than one percent of the population has this issue.

Back to my point, I love to go off on tangents : It took 60 years of full on “better living through chemistry” to really screw up the eco system and put mother nature out of whack. It’s my belief that the food movements of the 60s and 70s of returning to a more healthful eating style were just the beginning of a needed revolution in our connection to the earth and our connection to the feminine aspect of ourselves. It’s interesting to note that over the last 30 or so years there have been innumerable sightings of the Virgin Mary on walls, tacos, birth marks, lamp shades etc. not to mention the statues of the Virgin said to be crying blood. Why not Jesus? Why not Saint Joseph? You get the picture. The world seemed in need of some sort of Goddess figure, a return of feminine power – as women’s political and economic power has waxed and waned over history, now it seemed the 3 most powerful and largest religions (all based on the same God Jehovah) had castigated the feminine and relegated all things female into the realm of inferior – so much so that even women believed this and instead of embracing themselves as equal but different an entire generation of women tried to take on the roles of men and dismissed all that was beautiful about being female (I’ll have to write a whole piece on this as this is a giant thing to say in this context and needs clarification but I’ll leave that to later).

Now we have Ceres – the Goddess returning, the nurturer, the Great Mother, the root of the word cereal. She is literally and figuratively the host of humanity, feeding us physically and emotionally as well as spiritually. She is unfortunately one of the only positive Goddess figures assigned to these new dwarf planets. I’ll go into those ladies in a later article.

Ceres in your chart is the place that healing happens, the place that represents how you need to be nurtured and how you nurture others. Mine is in Gemini in the first house, makes sense, eh? Yes, I love to nurture through communication and I’m the person who if behind you in a supermarket line, you would inexplicably feel the need to tell me all your troubles. And I’d listen and actually be really happy to do so. When I found this in my chart I was like, wow, no wonder why this always happens to me and everyone thinks I’m so nurturing and an earth momma. Although, I can tell you I’m really not that at all. I have really no earth (except 2 generational planets) in my chart and one could fly a kite using all the wind I create from my blabbing. I’m so airy and so watery it’s kind of ridiculous.

Now here’s the kind of disturbing thing about the dwarf planet Eris – from the research I’ve done she’s the sister of Aries. She’s the Goddess of strife and discord. She wasn’t invited to one of the Gods royal weddings (between Peleus and Thetis) and as revenge painted an apple gold and through it into the festivities addressed only to “the fairest.” So Hera, Athena and Aphrodite all fought over it. Zeus asked the mortal shepherd Paris to settle the dispute. Supposedly, Aphrodite bribed Paris into picking her by promising to deliver whatever woman he wanted for his bride. He picked the fairest woman of all mortals named Helen, of course, it was due to her abduction by the Gods that the Trojan war began.

As one can plainly see here, the message imbued in the myth of Eris is revenge through the use of trickery and deceit through human frailty such as: vanity, greed, pride, competitiveness and the need for prestige, even being number one (sounds like us, the US). It is the false promise of these things that leads to the downfall of the Gods and a horrible war here on earth. It’s sort of like the use of our own domestic airplanes on 9-11 turned against us, something used for pleasure, business, fun, something generally very safe (it’s the safest form of travel in terms of accidents) used as a weapon of horrible destruction. It was so bizarre and unexpected no one seemed to know what to do on that day, even the slightly mental deficient president or his (literally) heartless VP.  It was around this time that Eris was found and since then the world has been fighting a shadowed enemy among us, one that can not be seen, one that is hidden, crafty and uses our own resources against us.

I have some thoughts now on the other dwarf planets and their significance like Sedna whose limbs were cut off and was thrown into the sea by her father (patriarchy) where she became a sort of protector of the ocean from what I can remember. Now we are dealing with major environmental oceanic issues that will only continue to get worse. I have to study her more and put it together I think though her discovery and the BP disaster are related.

More on Dwarf planets soon…

Keep on praying, keep working on yourself. By lifting yourself up – you lift all of us.

Best to all,

Denise

Some Forward Movement on the Dwarf Planets…

Answering Readers, and More About Eris…

  Hi Denise,

I just saw in the news that there was an earthquake in S Carolina, early this morning. I had a thought about the orange garage light experience you had last night. Sometimes when I get signs they are literal. Do you think its somewhere called Orange? Orange county Florida, California, or Orange the city in different areas??? And, Do you think there is anything to worry about with the Soviets doing naval excercises in the waters off of Venezuela? Thanks for keeping up the blog!

Hi Hope and A Plan,

I had wondered about this, it was definitely something one would see in a ghost movie. I remembered as I was falling to sleep having had a dream the night before about an attempted terrorist type of attack, the weapons were mostly machine guns and I think there was an armored car involved. In the dream I was a spy uncovering the scheme. it was a foreign european country. it was night time and I didn’t think that much about it. That was all I remembered of it. It was so odd, that I kind of forgot about it. It’s not often I’m a spy exchanging gun fire in a dream. But I wondered as I was falling asleep the night of the crazy garage light, if perhaps I had blown off a warning dream the night before, and the light was trying to draw my attention to my unconscious.

I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older (and because of all the migraine and seizure medicine I take now) that I often forget my dreams, and most of my psychic stuff happens while I’m awake, often physical/poltergeist type of manifestations mixed with intense emotional feelings attached to words that circle around in my head for days until I can’t ignore them anymore. Maybe the spirits really have to hit me over the head because I’m either jaded or the medicine I take makes remembering my dreams difficult. Anyway, I thought it was interesting to read the post by you which I have coming up after Better Days Ahead’s comment, about the terrorist attack in France. I’m not surprised by the attempt because as i said there are a bunch of European countries that have Pluto hitting something important in their national chart right now. But France actually doesn’t have anything all that nasty compared to most, so its not surprising the attempt was stopped. In my dream there was gun fire exchanged. And I’m not sure if it was France or Germany or England, it was just a very typical European city. There are parts of all European cities that look the way the dream did. Hopefully this will be it for attempted terrorist attacks for the time being, but I don’t know. I am a little worried that there maybe a bigger broader wider international type of plan coming, something that will involve multiple attacks in many European cities at the same time, and here as well because of this critical degree in cardinal signs seen in so many important and national charts. I really need to study the charts again, but I’ve been so busy as we all have with the holiday and trying to keep away one of my intense migraine’s under control for the past week.

betterdaysahead

  If there’s gonna be a big sell off, it might be lead by a failure to make a loan to the auto industry. Clearly Bush and his folks are against this.

Hi Better Days Ahead,

It looked like the American auto industry would survive for the next couple of years and then go under. But there is so much anger about the last bail out which as I said in the posts back before it happened, wasn’t going to go through the first time around when it actually would have helped, but rather a watered down crappy version would pass and do really no good. People have a right to be angry. In my opinion the only reason the bail out happened was to show good faith to the rest of the world — basically to make it look like we were doing something, ANYTHING. But alas, the bail out was so flawed by the time it passed it really was an empty, extremely expensive gesture. Of course though the banking industry is the life blood of the global economy and if we poisoned it, then we were obliged to fix it or risk losing our place in the world economy. We would have been thrown out of the game for being cheaters, which of course, we were, so our government had to make a show of good faith to save face. But they really didn’t get much else accomplished for the money. The auto industry is a very different beast and it will fold our economy into a full swing Depression if it collapses, but we won’t be contaminating the world water supply like we did with the banking scheme. The Republicans don’t really care about saving Joe Normal’s job at GM, and as its turning out they didn’t really care about saving the world economy either, just fattening deals for their peeps. But that’s another story. I can’t say I have a lot of pity for the CEO’s of the American car makers, they’ve been morons. But I do feel for the people who have done their best, and worked hard at their jobs, and now face the potential loss of the life they’ve known.

Hi Denise,

I woke up with the feeling that everything was shaking and a lot of energy was swirling. I have been sensitive to geo activity. It doesnt need to be local. Of course, all of this might be personal to me… I wonder if this is particularly heightened since I have my Moon at 0 degrees of Capricorn at the nadir, or collective unconscious of my chart?? I just saw that a terrorist attack and asassination attempt were thwarted in France. There was a thwarted terrorist attempt of an Air France flight to LA a couple of years ago. Seems like this time of year is a vulnerable time for France… Take care of yourself…

Hi Hope And A Plan,

There have also been some earth quakes out this way the past few months. There was a pretty big one (5. something) about 4 months ago that we really felt, another out in the desert that was over 6 something, but in a very un-populated area, but it was felt here as well as in Arizona and Nevada. I felt it as a gentle rocking. Then of course some in the mid-west not too long ago. It has made me wonder, seems like there are an awful lot of them all over the place but then again, it seems earthquakes come in swarms and then calm for a while before the next swarm hits.

I would think you’d be very sensitive to both geo activity and the collective unconscious with your moon at 0 degrees Cap and Pluto going over it right now. Pluto does rule mass consciousness, transformation, and of course Capricorn is an earth sign.

  sparker

I hope you feel better!!! Many Angels to you!!!
As for the comment I made last night about Eris, after reading it today I am not so sure about how well I conveyed my thoughts. It didn’t come out the way I thought I was conveying it at the time. Hence, I am not a writer! I am also not sure if I was right about her. I had some very weird, and actually not very dreamy, dreams last night about a lot of people being homeless. Not sure if it was Eris visiting me in my sleep or if it the fact that writing that comment was the last thing I did before I went to bed last night. I thought I was being enlightening but, I am not so sure about it today.
But, anyway, FEEL BETTER!! : ) Many Angels to YOU!!

Hi Sparker,

I’ve been doing more research on Eris. It seems that my hunch about the patriarchal version of her as slanted toward the negative is right. She is much like a trickster, Goddess of chaos and discord. She likes to confuse or as my friend would say she’s a sh*t stir, meaning she likes to get people to think, laugh and is seen (among those who see her as positive) to be a Goddess of creativity through chaos. She also likes to reveal the superficial and make people think. I found a site that extolls Her virtues and have posted some of it here for reference and a link to the site for anyone who wishes to find out more about this Goddess who will ultimately be absorbed into astrology once we figure her out. I’m working on it right now. Here are some excerpts from the site:

Today’s Eris, as is often said by Discordians, shows more of Her mellow aspects, at least to Her ‘co-conspirators’ who sometimes tend to err on the side of attributing to Her every sort of weirdness that intrudes into their lives. Eris is said to be responsible for generating bureaucracies among human societies to both keep the tyrants confused and to keep the intelligent perplexed. She is also here to tell us that, contrary to the religious, spiritual, and theological dogmas of the past centuries, We Are Free. Humankind is not inherently flawed, spiritually blocked, or sinful. Any flaws, blocks, or sins as may exist are entirely our own doing, and as such, they can be overcome, outgrown, or avoided if we decide so.

Eris also represents the active principle of standing up for oneself in the face of exclusion, betrayal, or injustice. In Discordianism, getting ‘even’ is considered a valuable experience in one’s ability to recognize a need for redress without having to rely on so-called authority or parent figures to tell them so. How a Discordian goes about gaining redress is left up to each person. The Myth of the Golden Apple (discussed below) is often cited as a prime example of doing so.

Here’s the post that I took those excerpts about Eris from: http://davensjournal.com/index.htm?eris.xhtml&2
