BP, Sucking the Suck out of Suck…

A reader wrote me an e-mail with a good suggestion I’m posting here:

We need to visualize effective action.

And besides visualize effective action, we should start bugging the crap out of our government. This is now the biggest man made ecological disaster in the history of the human race. Not only should all parties be prosecuted, that is anyone with the slightest bit of power to have stopped what happened from happening, but we have to do any crazy ass thing we can think of and try it.

If James Cameron wants to build a robot under water to save the ocean, let him.

Who the hell is BP to tell him he can’t get involved and why the F is our government allowing them to dictate how the clean up should be dealt with? They F-up they should shut up and pay for every legitimate as well as every hair brained idea anyone can think of to get the bleeding to stop and if they don’t like it they can shove it up their monarchy loving butt holes.

This is OUR COASTLINE, last I looked the Queen wasn’t living in Texas, at least not their Queen.

Why the Obama administration has allowed them to have a say in anything is beyond me. This to me is the biggest problem of his administration. He’s too diplomatic. Sometimes you have to be a jerk to get things done and I’m not sure he’s willing to be a jerk.

Oh, well this is the other side of the coin. Get an erudite, intelligent idealist in leadership and you either get a Lincoln or a Carter. The difference being Lincoln took big risks, Obama should take heed in that regard. He has to stop being so middle of the road and so safe. The whole Democratic party better get a grip and be more aggressive or they will stand for nothing except reasonableness. Not something to write home about for sure.

Many blessings,

Denise

So call your representatives, senators and the White House! Don’t just e-mail them! Drive them insane!

BP, Sucking the Suck out of Suck…

Kathleen Sebelius

Kathleen Sebelius head of Health and Human Services for the Obama administration was on John Stewart last night and while she didn’t say anything disagreeable I got this violent and sudden gut feeling that she had been a lobbyist and she was taking the single payer system off the table. That she was selling Obama on another health plan that was going to be good for the insurance companies (at least in the short term – that’s all corporations can think about anyway) and it wasn’t really going to be all that awesome for everyone else.

I got this hit that the government would pick up the health insurance for anyone kicked off their plan. So basically only sick people would be able to get government insurance and anyone who pays for private health insurance will eventually have to be 100% healthy. In essence the insurance companies will slowly kick all the sick people out making it appear that they have higher and higher profits each quarter for a while. Of course eventually the whole thing will come crashing down and the private insurance companies will make themselves obsolete, but in the mean time they will appear to be winning.

Sebelius had a weird vibe as if she was playing bait and switch. I worried at first she was leading Obama down a path that would ruin his political career. But I think she’s tricky and knows that the only way to a single payer system can eventually win is to pretend to play ball with the lobbyists and let them believe it will be good for business. She’s smart enough to know eventually this will collapse and we will have to revamp the system once more, but by then they won’t have any power.

It’s smart but I have to say I don’t see why the Dems have to play ball with big business so much. It’s very annoying. This administration more than any other in a long time was truly elected by the people to curb corporations and robber barons. I wish they would go at it more directly. I fear all the tricky chess moves will confuse most people and allow the Republicans to twist things around again and find a way back.

Best wishes,
Denise

The Economic Stimulus Plan & Cori Desmond

First I want to say that I am so sorry for the loss of Cori. I feel very badly for all of her family and friends and want to let them know I have given the police all the information I received. I also talked to some of Cori’s friends which confirmed some of what I had told the police and had e-mail correspondence with her father whom I will be more than happy to help if he wants me to.  I’ve gotten a flood of e-mails from her friends. She was obviously a very powerful presence and touched many people’s lives. I’m sorry if you have e-mailed me and I haven’t gotten back to you. I haven’t had a lot of time recently.

Now onto the Stimulus Package which upon further reflection and after seeing the Governor of Louisiana on Meet the Press tonight, brought to light one of the aspects in the Stimulus Package chart. That is the Uranus Saturn opposition which is the ideological tug between the conservative status quo way we have been dealing with the economy since Reagan’s “Trickle Down Economics” and “no new taxes,” mantra. Both of which were falacies even then as wealth never ended up trickling down and we went into a recession in the early 90s because of the overspending hole Reagan put us in, as it turned out Reagan did also raise taxes. He actually invented or re-applied new ones like the Capital Gains tax so when you sold your home that you had already paid taxes for every year, not to mention the income tax you had to pay before you bought the home, but you were then taxed on any profit you may have made on your home. The only way to avoid this was by buying a home of equal or greater value.

So all those people who were middle class wanting to scale down, use their equity to retire on, screw them! They had to pay this extra ridiculous double tax. Again, this was a slimy way to tax the middle class and allow the wealthy to weasel out of their fair share.

This broken ideology is the cornerstone of the Republican party. Yet until Bush “broke the world,” as Seth Meyers joked on Saturday Night Live a couple weeks back, they were getting away with the bait and switch, doing what they accused the Democrats of doing (which they actually weren’t) like creating huge deficit spending (remember that surplus at the end of the Clinton era, seems like a thousand years ago now), they were selling their party as fiscally conservative — read help the wealthy save their money so they can buy more yachts while the schizophrenic guy gets dumped onto the streets from a half-way house because, damn it, he should “pull himself up by his own bootstraps,” theory.

They went after unions under the guise of their outdated uselessness and once they were destroyed the jobs with health care benefits and 401Ks and all those extra perks began slipping away. Until they were finally shipped overseas. And interestingly the border from Mexico became very porous while Reagan was in office. One needs desperate people to work for nothing if your desire is to exploit them.

I always said they were trying to turn this country into a third world nation, a country of very rich and very poor, nothing in-between. But even I couldn’t entirely believe it. It seemed too disgusting, greedy, evil and vile to really be true. Surely, there was something I was missing, perhaps a different ideology about economics that I didn’t get. Not that old timey way of doing things like indentured servitude and slavery, and people working for nothing so that their bosses could live like kings. No. Who would want to walk down a street and see people starving, who could do that and feel nothing? Oh, yeah, I think we had that answer, the people who were in charge the last 8 years. And the people who supported them, often not knowing what they were really supporting, thinking they were for “family values” and gun rights and the right to life and even Christianity. When in reality these people were really for greed, selfishness, and whoever has the most stuff wins. Not very Christian, not very “family values,” to let your grand kids pay for your spending sprees and live in a contaminated world so you could make a few extra bucks off that oil well.

Now the new Republican face is supposedly Bobby Jindal, Governor of Louisiana and he’s saying he won’t take the Stimulus Package money to help the people of his state, most of whom live in poverty, many still are not settled due to Katrina, because of “ideological” discrepancies with the plan. Meaning he wants more, “read my lips, NO NEW TAXES,” for the rich and is willing to commit political Harri Kari to carry the broken down smoldering torch of Reaganomics. Is he kidding? What are these idiotic Republicans thinking? Really? Really? I mean REALLY?

We are about to plunge headlong into a world wide depression because of their ideology. America voted them out of power in every branch of the government and they actually have the gall to criticize this bill. Really? Seriously, they actually tried to get in the way of it. And this Bobby Jindal is going to turn down relief for the starving people of Louisiana because it’s going to make the deficit worse? That’s his supposed excuse. Where was he when we invaded Iraq with now hundreds of thousands of dead innocent Iraqi people, thousands of our soldiers and a trillion, bazillion majillion dollar deficit from what was a bungled mess and total violation of the Geneva convention.

So back to the astrology of this. This idiotic commitment to a failed economic ideology that the Republicans are still in love with will end up pushing this stimulus package into a more and more radical stance. As things worsen, the reaction will have to be more extreme, more radical and dare I say it, more about spreading the wealth. I know these guys hate that idea. I mean only they deserve to be wealthy. But lets face it, if they are the only ones with money, then its kind of hard to have an economy.

The best metaphor I heard about what has happened is this: Imagine you are playing a poker game and one guy keeps winning and winning until he’s taken all the money from all the players. Well, the game’s over. That’s a major ideological hole in Trickle Down economics.

And what happens when the rich just get richer? They literally clog the economic colon of the country. They can’t possibly move around enough money to sustain everyone. When the wealth is spread around, and there are a lot of middle class people spending money, we actually have more jobs, more productivity, more to go around. This was the basic theory behind Clinton’s economic ideology  and it worked very well. Actually, incredibly well.

So if anyone implies spreading the wealth around is a bad thing tell them to go back in their time machine to the 1950s when McCarthy and the Red scare was happening, and leave the rest of us alone — those of us who live in the 21st century and know that some of the most productive and wealthiest nations in the world are actually social democracies, like Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Countries where they have the highest standard of living and where the people are statistically proven to be the most content of anywhere in the world. Lands where no one starves on the street, the mentally ill are treated, and you not only have free health care, but if you apply yourself academically you can get a free higher education.

Now those don’t sound like such bad ideas to me.

A land where both parents get something like six months paid maternity/paternity leave. Where the kids are brought to work, and put in company daycare where the parents work. You know all those family values we like to talk about, but don’t actually like to do anything about.

It actually sounds surprisingly evolved and civilized. Hope we can drop that weird anti-pinko, left over cold war brainwashing that makes it impossible for us to see things clearly.

Best wishes and many blessings,

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

More questions, more answers, the first from KRG:

KRG

Hi : Very interesting

On the prediction that India will hit Pak sites, I wonder whether this could happen thru US, becos it seems more likely that Obama will use his power to persuade Pak to let US take on the training camps etc in Pak. Don’t see India doing this unless we continue to get hit like 26/11. May be you could run a chart for US vis-a-vis Pak and see how it looks…

Hi KRG,

I think you are right in the sense that the US will try to hit the camps at some point in the future, especially with the recent news about an increase in the chances of a bio-terrorist attack. However, it looked like India was still very vulnerable and that this Pakistani terrorist group wanted to push India to respond to Pakistan. The last post I did detailed all of this.

Truthseeker

I woke up with the feeling that the credit crisis wasnt the cause of the market crash at the end of Dec/ Jan

Hi Truthseeker,

I’m sure you’re right. It’s turning out to be the information about the economy, joblessness, and eventually as Pluto crosses the 1st house of the Dow, and squares many other important planets at the critical cardinal 01 degree, (many western nations have a planet at this critical degree as well) we’re going to see some very ugly, criminal and shady stuff uncovered about how companies have been operating which will further freak out investors. Of course the news coming out about the seriousness of this crisis, joblessness and personal spending freezes we are all in will contribute to this coming Tsunami.

We’ve been at the point where we noticed the water receding back from the shore, and it looks really weird, but we couldn’t figure out what was happening or why. We are now at the point where the water is starting to hit the shoreline.

northernlights2008

Any thoughts on the two unresolved Senate races in Minnesota and Georgia? I think you predicted the Senate would get close to 60 seats a few weeks back. I wonder what the cards say closer to the evantual realities. Thanks!

Hi Northernlights,

It seems that I’m too late to predict Georgia. It looks like Republican Chamblis won. I really feel Franken should win Minnesota, if he doesn’t I think there was funny business going on. So I guess it will be 58 or 59, but its close enough. The Republicans are so fractured right now the next couple of  years will make it worse for them. I don’t think that number will stand long.

I do feel Obama will have the 60 needed, if not this go round, then next. The cards indicated it would happen. As I’ve said before about the cards, they are always right, but their timing isn’t always accurate.

Iris

Another question. Some of Obama’s supporters are up in arms about the people he is choosing to work in his Administration. They feel that they have been betrayed. Will the Disgruntled Dems. get over it in time or will they hold a grudge for the next 4 years?

Thanks! -)

Hi  Iris,

I have noticed this very thing, and it’s annoying. The poor guy hasn’t even taken office yet. He can always fire people if they don’t work out! I wish they would let him get out of the gate before they tried breaking his legs. This is the very thing that is lame about Democrats, and the reason they are perceived as weak. And why it has been so easy to split the party, divide and conquer, a technique used efficiently by the Republicans who had the binding force of greed to keep them together as one giant jelly fish stuck to the butt of our country.

Democrats are often too idealistic, and not practical enough. They expect miracles immediately, and are too easily disappointed by reality because the binding force that makes people Democrats is a variety of things. There is no one glue keeping the party together except for idealism, so its a double edged sort of thing. It’s why Obama won. But also why people from his own side are going to pick on him like he’s the fat kid on a baseball diamond. It’s annoying.

Obama is putting together an entire administration. Just because he’s carrying some people over from the Bush admit-nothing-stration doesn’t mean they will ultimately stay, and there is some need for consistency and experience. If company A bought company B, they’d replace almost everyone, but just for efficiancy sake, and the sake of time, some employees from company A would transition to company B.

I think everyone getting their panties all up in a bunch before Obama even has possession of the white house is ridiculous. And frankly, the dude has 60 odd days to pick everyone on his team, move his family, and get a meeting of the minds together to basically run the free world.

So I say to those spastic hypercritical Democrats and lefties, cut him some slack! Jeez! There’s a lot to worry about right now, and I’m sure Obama will cull through people over time. Give the guy a chance. God, knows we gave George W. Idiot a new chance every day which he spent screwing something else up, and there was very little fuss made about any of his messes. But he had the web of greed there to catch him at all times where Obama has a sack full of ideologies to try and placate.

All I ask is 6 months to let the Obama administration get going before the traditional Democratic backstabbing and infighting. We are in a global state of emergency. Which will require us to learn to be more practical, and pragmatic instead of dreaming up ways in which we wish our politicians were more delightful.

So in answer to your question. Unfortunately, I’m sure we will see the traditional Democratic hazing, but lets all commit to do our part not to participate in it.  There’s enough to fix that Obama shouldn’t have to worry about pandering to everyone, too.

grace43

Will Arnold Schwartzenegger be joining Obama’s cabniet? I thought when Obama said a top Republican would be on his cabniet, it would be Arnie. Now he’s picked Gates to stay on as Sec. of Defense. Since some very conservative Christians are in top level positions in the military, this seems to be a wise move aimed at keeping them calm. What’s up for the Governator after his term runs out?

Here’s his birth information: 30 July 1947, Thal, Styria, Austria (Taken from his bio on Internet Movie Database)
Birth Time: 04:10 (04:10 AM) MEDT(-1:00) (taken from Lois Rodden’s AstroDatabank
http://www.astrodatabank.com/nm/SchwarzeneggerArnold.htm )

Thanks in advance!

PS

I sure hope he will be. After four years of having to look at Bush and Cheney, this lady would appreciate someone up there easier on the eyes. LOL

Hi Grace,

I just don’t see Schwartzenegger in Obama’s cabinet. He’s really done a bad job here in California. We’ve had budget problems, and the unions are talking about throwing him out of office. He’s a big oaf. Sorry to say. I’m sure his wife would make a better governor then him. He should have stuck to his acting career. Here’s his chart from the source you gave:

picture-151In 2010 he’s going to have transiting Pluto going over his Moon in the 6th house. His moon rules his chart, it’s in Capricorn/career and in the 6th that’s your job.  And it will be making an applying inconjunction to his Sun. So I’d say he’ll have some trouble in the career department. His wife should take extra precautions for her health at that time, too. As the moon in the 6th could be his wife Maria having some sort of health problem that could be fatal if not caught early.  Or if his mother if she is still alive could have a health crisis. So the women in his life will have to be diligent with their health over approximately the next 5 years.

He may very well get recalled here in California in a special election at that time (November 2010). He himself was put into office on a trumped up recall election, ousting our Democratic Governor Gray Davis. It was pretty lame. Karma’s a b*tch. So looks like he’ll be getting it back right about then. Or at least the fire will be roaring in that direction by then. I hope for him, and his family’s sake it’s just his career that has trouble, and not the women in his life.

Bedtime! More questions and answers tomorrow…

Best wishes to all of you!

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Hi Everyone:

If I don’t get to post for the next couple of days that’s because I’m in a non-wireless zone, so hopefully I will be able to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving, but if not:
Happy Thanksgiving!
OK, now more questions. This first one is very important because remember all the financial posts I had done and how if Barack Obama were to win our situation would actually get better, not immediately, but it still would be less dire even in the short term.
Well, I’ve been thinking a lot about that. I can feel the panic in the air as I’m sure all of you can, but I also have a feeling with this aggressive restructuring of the market we are currently undertaking, the beast will be tamed to a large degree. I’m not saying there won’t be people losing their jobs, and several shaky years when people will feel unsure about their employment, their investments and what’s going on in the world financially, but I am feeling (and seeing) that this Pluto aspect (once Obama is officially in office) will actually be more about restructuring then about total devastation.
It’s as if we were in a big car barreling down a freeway at 150 MPH, headed toward a sink hole when the passenger yanked on the car steering wheel and the car lurched away from our certain death, totaling the car, but everyone lives, and has varying degrees of injury.
So while that sounds kind of insane and scary, and it is. Our future is not nearly as bad as it would have been. We have in a way, saved ourselves from certain disaster. We will still have to pay for the sins of corporate greed, but I believe their days (at least for several generations to come) of being robber-barons is over. And the world as a whole (if we stay on this path) will find its way out of crisis.
So here’s the first question from Anonymous:
From Anonymous:
The big concerns expressed by some economists, is the perilous time before the inauguration which obviously coincides with your prediction. Evidently, in the 1930’s, the delay between the Hoover administration and FDR’s was disastrous. It appears that Obama’s administration has been getting the message and he is inserting himself into the Bush administrations’ management of the economy. Do you see a possibility of the tsunami being avoided if this trend continues? (Hope springs eternal)
Hello Anonymous,
I won’t go as far as saying the tsunami will be entirely avoided because there’s only so much Obama can do until he becomes president, but I do feel his inserting himself into the situation is absolutely a blessing to us, and will soften the blow a great deal. I feel this for a number of reasons:
1) He is reminding us (while we are panicked) that there is a competent leader who will carefully and cooly appoint the right people, and delve right into this on day one to fix the problem. This is kind of like cuddling your baby when he has an ouchy. This in itself I feel is helping to some degree to reassure us from total panic.
2) He is making good well measured decisions that are inclusive of all sides of the argument, further reassuring us that he is willing to listen to whatever idea is best no matter what side of the aisle or whether it be left, right or center. I think this is very important right now that the best idea win, politics aside.
3) We are in uncharted territory here with the economic crisis, and conventional wisdom isn’t going to work. Even the financial experts, deep in the pit of their hearts know this, and we can all smell their fear. This is exacerbating the market because they keep lying to the public when they are aware that they really can’t give advice right now, there is too much novelty, too much emotion and things are far too volatile to predict. But Obama’s measured, cool demeanor and show of strength really helps to calm this sector down. People respond to strong leadership which he is showing.
I do feel that we’ll have a strange couple of years, and by the time its over we won’t recognize the way the market works anymore. It will be very different. It’s the end of capitalism as we once knew it.
It will no longer be a free for all anything goes as long as it can make money sort of ideology.
As I’ve said before in many posts, there will be new international banking, and trading laws that we will have to abide by, and the world will come together to make sure this never happens again. This means a lot of dirty underbelly will be exposed and rooted out, and a new way of doing business will be ushered in.
So it’s really hard for me to know how many companies will collapse under the weight of these new laws, and how many will be strengthened by it, but my gut feeling is it will be corruption darwinism, with the worst offenders dying off. That being said it will take awhile to discover all the nooks and crannies of these company’s books, and the market will be pretty nutty for awhile.
From Amber:
Denise, I found the information on t mobile and when they filed the merger with the security and exchange commission to become t mobile. I hope this is sufficient info.
Here’s the chart:
picture-24

Hi Amber,

I don’t see anything catastrophic here. It looks like they will be fine through this, they may actually expand into other communication services, the worst of it is they may have to lower their prices, or cut rates and try to go into encouraging usage in a more traditional home phone kind of way.

Jean

Hi Denise,

Can you give me some advise on a couple of mutual funds? I had originally thought that I would just hold them through this – but if it is going to get much worse, perhaps I should sell. I just don’t know how low they will go, or how long it will take for them to recover.
MEURX
MDISX
Thanks,
Jean

Hi Jean,

Can you give me the stock names and also if you have their first trading or incorporation date in case I don’t have it in my database. If you can’t find it don’t worry I’ll try to find it, but if you can find info on it, then I will be able to answer you much more quickly.

Cathy

Hi Denise,

I am interested in the stocks for Boeing (BA) and Airbus (EADSY) – how this ecomonic crisis will effect them and should we hold out for the long-term?

Hi Cathy,

Here are 2 charts I found for Boeing:

picture-251There will be opportunity for them to be more profitable, but they have to make some major changes. It looks to me that this stock will be very volatile for the next couple of years, and go through some very major shifts, even perhaps changing what they are known for making and potentially getting more into experimental or innovation orientated/research driven work. That’s there best chance at staying valuable. Otherwise as Pluto makes opposition after opposition to Mars, Mercury (the chart ruler), Pluto and then the Sun, this company could go under, but that won’t be for awhile, not until about 2020. So you have some time here to decide when the best time to sell is.

I couldn’t find anything for Airbus. Do you have their incorporation date or the start date of when they began trading? If so please post it in a comment and I’ll run a chart for you.

Best wishes and many blessings to all of you.

And of course have a great Thanksgiving!

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Hi Everyone!

More questions from readers. I’ll do my best to try and answer them.

patrick

if Hillary becomes the Sec. State, hopefully she will not be excessively distracted by outside drama or personal career plans, etc.

Hi Patrick,

Well, it looks like Hillary is going to take the job, but it won’t be officially announced until after Thanksgiving for some reason. That’s what I heard on the news at least, but you never know.  I can understand your concern about Hillary and drama, the Clinton years were full of that problem and she appeared to be very hawkish when running for president. So let’s see if she will be distracted by outside drama or personal career plans.

The tarot’s answer: Yes. But not so much in terms of her performance on the job.

She’ll be distracted to a degree by her husband. The pattern card comes up. And a man is in the center. It looks like Bill will cause her some personal anguish, the ace of cups reversed is also there. But she has the six of wands, victory in business or career also, so I’m going to say she’ll do a great job, and be an excellent wing woman to Obama, however her husband may have trouble being on the side lines.

I get the feeling Monica wasn’t really the first time she dealt with Bill’s infidelities, and I don’t think it was or is the last. There is a high probability that stuff will get leaked out about other infidelities he’s had, or may have, but I don’t get the feeling it will have much impact on the Obama administration. It will be more of a personal impact on Hillary not so much her job. I think Bill might be a sex addict. I feel bad for her. The worst part is she’ll feel humiliated because of his behavior, and that’s really not fair.

Tobe

Hi Denise,

thanks so much for your blogs. I really enjoy coming back here. You have predicted a stock market “Tsunami” for December. Things are so extremely bad already… how much worse can it get…? Do you see the Dow Jones Index going below 6000 in December…? Also, do you expect Deflation or Inflation in 2009? Are they going to print so much money that the dollar becomes completely worthless and we will finally need a new currency, or o you see the dollar getting stronger, like right now?

Thanks a lot in advance,
your advice is truly appreciated!

Hi Tobe,

I’ll ask the tarot if the Dow will go below 6000.

The answer: Yes

I saw the number 5986 while I was focusing on this question. But I could have flipped some of the numbers. Maybe 5896? I do feel that in the end of Dec/early Jan. we’ll see it get into down into the high 5000 range.

In answer to the second question. My feeling is that because the whole world will be in similar crisis our money by comparison will fluctuate, but not get to the point where we have to use a barrel full of money to buy a gum ball. So I guess we’ll see inflation, but it will be world wide, and our dollar will be nested in about the same place its been for awhile.

It’s kind of like we’re all on the Titanic together, so buying someone’s diamond ring that’s worth two hundred bucks for ten million dollars isn’t going to matter because we’re all sinking. In other words value will have an entirely different meaning within this new context.

I also see a world currency as a direct result of this crazy financial debacle. Once the international banking and market laws go into effect, it very likely will go that way out of ease of use. But I don’t see that happening right away. That’s at least a few years away. At least. And this could change depending on what happens over the next couple of years.

Marie

Thank you in advance for answering my question.

If Obama chooses Hillary for the Sec of State job, will she be a team player and represent him to well or will she be a disappointment to Obama?

Will Gov. Richardson be offered a position in the Obama Administration?

Hi Marie,

I do feel she will be a team player. I have a strong feeling that Hillary is worried this might be the highest office she will be able to attain due to her age and her husband’s notorious past. I really feel her heart is in this, and she will acquiesce to Obama’s policy. The campaign (which started almost immediately after she became a senator in my opinion) was her trying to show how tough she was and invulnerable. This stance ruined her. Both these characteristics are actually more antithetical to her then the public would think.

I feel she played tough for fear of seeming weak, and like someone who isn’t really tough, and doesn’t understand the boundaries, she overplayed this in an effort to be one of the boys. I don’t feel she is truly hawkish. I do feel she played to win according to the rules she had in her head, and didn’t follow her heart. If she had been true to herself she would have ended up being President and Obama VP. But she blew it a long time ago. Pretty much from 9/11 on when it seemed she traded in her true passion for a power pant suit. That being said, I feel we are going to finally get the real Hillary here.

As for Bill Richardson the press has already answered that one. It seems he’s going to be in the new administration as well, which is great. I meant to answer this question sooner because I had a strong feeling Obama would find a place for him but now it’s too late to show my clairvoyant skills off.

wingsofgrey

Do you think that your dream with Chicago as a target, has any connection to the 2016 bid for Chicago Olympics? Considering that Atlanta was a target, it doesnt seem to unlikely that another Olympics in the US could be a target.

Hi Wings of Grey,

By the way is this an owl reference? I love owls! They are my life long totem animal. Anyway, that’s another story, another post.

I feel Chicago isn’t going to be a target of domestic terrorism earlier then 2016. That was my immediate feeling. Which will be before the olympics, but that’s a good question. It may make Chicago vulnerable again at that time to other attempts.

I asked the tarot and it answered: Maybe.

I’ll have to look into the astrology around that time to glean anything further. But my immediate feeling is Chicago will be a target much earlier then that, and I’m worried about that attempt right now.

Hi Malayali,

I need you to give the start date of trading of this company, the name of the company, and what market it is traded on so I can run a chart. I thought I had posted this before, but I’m sorry if either I didn’t and thought I did or you missed the post. I’ll be glad to look at it if you give me more info. Sorry for the delay.

Wishing all of you the best!

Here’s a sample of the next bunch of questions:

Hello again. Here is a unique question. When within the next 75 days would you recommend a marriage date for these two people? Born 7/28/56 Chillicothe, Ohio and 8/17/80 Olongapo, Philippines. Any other advise would be appreciated too. Thank you again.

Hi Denise I very much appreciate your reply and your time. The psychic advised me in October to hold on to the Australian stocks I hold. One you have answered with Oz minerals. The other is Minara Resources MRE ( Nickel and Colbalt Miner) which began on 17th March 1994. I couldn’t agree more that this crisis is more than fear and although it hurts many of us little people who have become victims of greed and deception, this crisis had to happen because we must come back to real values and respect for each other. Competition, winners and losers, victims and predators are not a healthy way to live and is unsustainable in the long run. May all the things that are good eventually prevail . And the ‘meek inherit the earth. One other question I have, although I like Hilary Clinton I am unsure of her possible position as State Secretary. Do you think if she took on the role would she be able to negotiate peacefully with other nations and create healing with those nations that are angry with America’s previous actions, interference and foreign policy? Thankyou so much

Iris

Hi Denice. This is my first time posting here. I have a question. Have you done any readings on Michelle Obama and Jill Biden? I am interested in getting to know about them and what will they do in the next 4 years.

Thanks!

Hi Denise,

Can you give me some advise on a couple of mutual funds? I had originally thought that I would just hold them through this – but if it is going to get much worse, perhaps I should sell. I just don’t know how low they will go, or how long it will take for them to recover.

Hi Denise,
Thanks for the reply. In regard to further info,
OZ Minerals is a merger between 2 companies – Oxiana and Zinifex.
The name OZ Minerals was approved by share holders on 18 July 2008 and started trading under that name on 23 July 2008. Hope this is sufficient info.

God Bless

Gurdeep

Hi Gurdeep,

Thanks for the info. Here is Oz Mineral’s founding chart:

oz-minerals1Here is their trading chart:

oz-mineral-trading-chartThe first chart I can’t be sure of the time, I used the start trading time of Australian Stock Exchange so I’m going to go on the second chart which will be more accurate and also be more appropriate as it will apply to those people who own stock in this company.

I would say there will be losses as Neptune returns to 23 degrees Aquarius in the 5th house in February of 09 but then as Uranus hits Mercury in the company’s 10th in March of 09 and trines natal Uranus and the Moon in the company’s 6th house there unexpected productivity which will lead to unexpected profits especially seen about a year later in April of 2010 when this aspects completes itself with a trine to the part of fortune in the 8th (investors). That will also be when (more toward the end of April but still, very close) when Mars will hit the company’s Venus (ruler of the 8th) and Neptune will be out of the 5th house of speculation and making an applying sextile to Pluto in the 3rd house from the 6th, which means there could be loss of some jobs as the company relocates or opens up another division somewhere else and lets some people go in the process, but it’s not a huge loss of jobs or anything. If you’re going to sell I’d wait until that period of time, it looks much better at that time. This stock will rebound and you will very likely regain any losses or make money if you wait it out until then.

For the people that have taken your advise and sold stocks and went to cash this year, when do you adivse investing again? I have a lot of cash in a money market fund in my 401k waiting to do this. I have a choice of 2 US domestic bond funds, 1 foreign fund and several US domestic stock funds. What would you invest in and when would you start? Thanks for doing this.

Hi Barry,

I can’t give you a logical answer like an investment person would only an intuitive one. Personally, I would wait until at least March of 2011 when Uranus moves out of Pisces and into Aries. Things will be more hopeful, and there will be much more market confidence in certain areas by then. But I have a caveat, Pluto will be going through Capricorn (which rules business, major corporations and markets) until 2024 and Neptune through Pisces until about 2025, which means we are going to see the end of business, capitalism and the markets as we have known them.

There is going to be major restructuring throughout the next (nearly) 20 years. And this will be on a global scale. You will have to really educate yourself not just the history of the markets, and any funds you are interested in, but you will also have to be able to follow all the nuisances, and changes that will be perpetually coming.

I know some financial people are saying there won’t be a depression, others are saying it will be the worst depression we’ve ever known. But truly, I don’t think either are correct. This is going to be a period unlike anything we’ve seen. I don’t feel it will resemble the 30s except on the very surface. I have a feeling the world will work together to solve this crisis as I’ve posted long before there was any talks of this or foreign leaders coming together, etc.

There will be a period of adjustment and I don’t think financial people really have a clue just how radically things are going to end up changing. As I’ve said before I feel there will be international laws put into place not just regarding lending, but on trading as well, the markets will somehow be tied together in a new way, and instead of this hodge podge of pieces there will be a uniting off all markets into a truly global economy. But this will take many years, and happen piece by piece.

So to better answer your question, please post or e-mail me (so you can remain anonymous if you wish) specific funds and a time frame so I can do a yes/no spread about them. The trend here I’m seeing is too big, and wide, that I can’t see the trees inside this forest unless you point them out.

Also a shout out to anyone who has some advice on foreign and domestic funds, perhaps a break down of what’s positive and negative to help out Barry and all other readers. I’m a psychic/artsy fartsy type I’m not a hedge fund manager so I can’t logically answer this question it’s too broad for me. Give me something I can do a chart on or a tarot reading about!

Dear Denise,

you are awesome. Thanks for taking the time and write to us all.

I am holding stock from the company AUY. Do you see the price going back up to between 10 to 30?

Thanks a lot,

Hi Ninja,

I’m mental with the stock symbols. Can you please post the name of the company and if you have the date it started trading and where that would be ideal, in case I don’t have it in my database.

Sorry about that for now, but I will answer you when I can run a chart. Or if you have a specific yes/no question I can do that, too.

Hi Denise,
I thought you and everyone would find this article/interview interesting. The financial strategists mention that around Valentines Day as the potential bottom of the market. This coincides with everything you’ve been saying about the first wave of the worst ending late January of next year. Thanks to everyone who shares their thoughts and of course, Denise who shares her insight, gift and wit. I look forward to you all every day.

“Pros Say: No Market Bottom ’til Valentines Day
The Big 3 U.S. automakers may have reached a bailout compromise Thursday – or not. Citigroup shares hover near $5, even after mega-investor Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said he’d boost his Citi stake to 5 percent. Strategists told CNBC to expect more volatility – and no bottom for months yet.

Denise: Will there be a bailout for the American public or are lawmakers going to continue down the wrong path of bailing out their business buddies?

These stimulus packages Obama wants aren’t designed well enough. Because my business pays almost nothing in taxes due to our HUGE equipment write-offs, I’m not provided any of the stimulus.

Just curious if this bailout madness is going to either stop or come to who really needs it?

Thanks!!!

P.S. LOVE your blog. Don’t stop! Wish I could afford your private readings… )

Hi Chris,

This is an excellent question! It seems like the country has cancer of the eyeball and they are doing radiation on our femur. It’s kind of insane. I’m hopeful that it will get better with the new administration, but lets see what the cards say.

I asked if the new administration would focus on bailing out the people instead of big corporations.

The answer: No.

But it’s not as bad as it seems. There will be change and much more help to those who need it. But it won’t be as much as many would like or think is necessary. The problem is they will keep trying to bail out companies to “save jobs” but they will also most likely extend unemployment benefits, pass health-care reform and also try to help people keep their homes, stuff like that, but by comparison it really won’t be commensurate with what they are doing for these big businesses that have been mismanaged, and deserve to go the way of the dodo for their idiocy and overpaid moronic CEOs. The money they spend bailing these companies out (which in my opinion those CEOs should have to sell all their assets off first and live like normal human beings if they ran their company into the ground, then they should loose their jobs and have to worry about money like anyone else does) would be better spent on education and on restructuring these companies.

I don’t know if anyone saw Michael Moore on Larry King tonight, but he had a great idea; basically bail out the car companies, but take them over, kick out their management, and have them producing hybrids, mass transit vehicles, and cars that run on everything other than gas. I guess FDR took over the automotive industry when he came into office, and had them manufacturing airplanes, tanks, etc. for the war effort. Moore felt the government should take over the companies if they’re going to give them 25 billion, and make them help solve our reliance on oil in the process.

Moore was of the same split mind as most of us. These auto makers have been refusing to make good quality desirable products for the past 30 years, and now they want a hand out! It’s despicable and causes an immediate gag reflex before the repercussions of their failure hit the conscious mind. Moore had a good point. If these jobs go under there will be a huge ripple effect. And we can’t afford millions more jobs lost. So maybe socializing the auto industry not just by giving them money, but by actually making them do something productive would be a way out of the mess.

I doubt, however, this sort of strategy will be enforced. I’m sure this bail out will happen before the Obama administration gets in, and it maybe too late for the Obama administration to implement that idea depending on how the deal goes down. Let’s hope for all our sake congress uses their collective brain cell to figure this one out before signing off on our money like they did last time.

The second bail out package shouldn’t have happened, it did no good! The first one I believe would have made a difference, but so much was compromised, and ruined trying to get the Republicans on board that the bill was castrated. The only good that bill did was restoring a little faith that our government had a desire to solve the mess our country created. I think it bought us a little bit of diplomacy and that’s about it.

These questions will be answered over the next couple of days!

Best wishes and many blessings to all,

Denise

Hi Denise,

thanks so much for your blogs.

Marie

Thank you in advance for answering my question.

If Obama chooses Hillary for the Sec of State job, will she be a team player and represent him to well or will she be a disappointment to Obama?

Will Gov. Richardson be offered a position in the Obama Administration?

Do you think that your dream with Chicago as a target, has any connection to the 2016 bid for Chicago Olympics? Considering that Atlanta was a target, it doesnt seem to unlikely that another Olympics in the US could be a target.

Well Mrs. Denise you have done it again…you stated that the racial aftermath of Obama being elected would have some nutcases coming out the woodworks with hate crimes starting to rise.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081115/ap_on_re_us/obama_racial

Will this type of behaivor evaporate or will it get worse?

Hi Renee,

I read the article you sent. Wow, it’s very sad. People seem to find a way to live up to our lowest expectations often more than they do the opposite way around. I’ve been feeling that this will get worse for a little while during Obama’s administration, not that there will be more racist idiots, just that those racist idiots will become more organized and dangerous.

On the other more positive side, I do feel some people who were perhaps not so vehemently racist will soften, and open up a bit as Obama will be an amazing president, and many people will truly admire him. So the vast majority will support Obama. I have a feeling the crazy racist faction has, and is pushing back (as you referred to an earlier post where I talked about that) but over time I see that group splintering into those who become more insane, and those who see their way out of it. Three steps forward, two steps back, that will be the way this goes down.

Dear Denise,

A question and a comment.

Question: I fear that Monsanto, the producers of genetically modified (GM) corn, soy beans and grain, could possibly bring about a famine–due to their not allowing for a variety of grains (by other companies) to be raised in the United States. In addition to disastrous impacts upon the environment, and GM product’s nutritional defects, our putting all of our eggs in one genetic basket (using only one variety of seeds) could bring disaster if that seed variety fails–like the potato famine. I can not find specific incorporation dates for this company. What do you see astrologically for this company?

Comment: I whole heartedly agree with your 11/13 statement with regard to the religious right. As is stated in this quote:

“The resurgence of fanatical religious fervour occurring in many lands cannot be regarded as more than a dying convulsion. The very nature of the violent and disruptive phenomena associated with it testifies to the spiritual bankruptcy it represents. Indeed, one of the strangest and saddest features of the current outbreak of religious fanaticism is the extent to which, in each case, it is undermining not only the spiritual values which are conducive to the unity of mankind but also those unique moral victories won by the particular religion it purports to serve.” The Promise of World Peace, 1985. Author: The Universal House of Justice of the Baha’i Faith,

Hi Sally,

I looked for data of when this company started, all I could find was when they began trading and I have a 2 charts for that, but they won’t really tell us much about the goings on of this company. It’s odd, this company seems very secretive. I’ll post the charts, but again they are related to the value of the stock, and not what the company is doing.

picture-5picture-42My intuition is that what happened to the stock market will happen to the agricultural business down the road. With a lack of diversity, and all eggs placed in one basket, the situation is ripe for major devastation of our food sources. This is scary. I will continue to try to find information about this company, and look into it some more. Please remind me in a few weeks if I haven’t posted anymore about it.

Tomorrow I will answer:

Hi Denise,

I came across this site which got me thinking about the trend going on in these various cities (Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City) all of which are asking for handouts from the Federal government. Is it more widespread that the cities mentioned and is there a particular astrological aspect that runs through them all? Here’s the site:

Hi Denise:
(1) The Gallop poll shows that Obama’s favorability rating is at 71%. Are the people who didn’t vote for him finally starting to see him as the right person for the job? This rating is very good for someone who hasn’t even taken office yet. Go Obama!
(2) Do you the know the timing of when Sarah Palin will have this civil case against her? She has been plastered all over the news lately. Everyone wants an interview with her to ask about her $150,000 + clothes (was this her doing?). She should really be ashamed of herself for saying those lies about Obama. She’s so quick to call people “jerks” and liars if they say anything negative about her…but when she does it, in her eyes it’s ok…like when she tried to incite hate and violence towards Obama. It’s just so upsetting to see these republicans being so hypocritical and mean. I don’t understand them at all.
(3) Speaking of hypocrisy, Elisabeth Hasselbeck (Sarah Palin’s twin sister), the woman who is so hated by many for her strong republican views, constantly butts heads with her co-hosts. I really don’t think her co-hosts enjoy working with her, eventhough they say they do and they all love each other. I feel they secretly hate her too and they just have to put up with her because this team brings high ratings. What do you think about this?
Thanks again for answering our questions. I really enjoy this site…I feel we have our own little community in here where we can come to share our views, seek spiritual guidance and feel hope! Thank you Denise!

Best wishes to all of you and many blessings,

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Sorry, I’ve been swamped and it feels like questions have been piling up. I’ll try to get through a bunch tonight and if I have time I will either delineate the future of the S&P 500 (as best I can) here or in a separate post tomorrow.

A

Hi,

Some random questions:

1) What do you think about Laura Bush?

2) Bush, Cheney, Karl Rove and many GOP’ers are praising Obama. Do you think this is genuine or they are just playing along?

3) Will India play a role in the Obama administration, especially with regards to Pakistan?

Thanks!

Hi A,

It’s funny that you brought up Laura Bush the night you posted because I was telling my husband that I didn’t think Laura Bush agreed with her husband’s policies which is why she choose to stay in Crawford most of the time. I have a feeling she is much more liberal and compassionate then George or his family of origin.

Every once in a while she wears an expression that seems to indicate she’s a bit embarrassed by him and is just putting up with her goofy husband because despite his foibles (of which there are many) she loves him, the way a mother loves her kid.

In answer to the second question of whether the GOP is playing along or not, I think they’re glad they don’t have to clean up their mess. They threw a big old bash on the tax payers money, and bankrupted our economy, got us involved in 2 wars, and now they can blame everything on the Democrats when Obama can’t solve all the problems they created in the first month of his administration. So, no, I don’t think it is genuine, I think it is very strategic, and they are angling for a way to take power once Obama and Biden have cleaned up their mess.

The third question is more complex. I don’t feel that India can play a role in regards to Pakistan, there is too much animosity between the two countries. Pakistan as you know was once part of India. India is a democracy, the main religion is Hinduism and of course Pakistan’s people are mostly Islamic. Pakistan has a lot of turmoil and chaos going on it’s a very delicate situation. I can tell you I don’t have a good feeling about it, and this is one of the areas I’m going to look into in greater detail over the coming months. I need to run charts of all the countries in that area, and really meditate on this because as I said I feel like we blew it, and we’ll have to repair diplomacy with Pakistan before we really can win the war in Afghanistan, or at least stabilize the country, and root out the Taliban before we can leave the country knowing it will be able to regenerate itself.

Grace

Will the situation in Iraq improve under Obama? At first, I had high hopes that a meeting of the minds could take place and really get this settled. But after reading this:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081108/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iraq_al_qaida;_ylt=AsEatMoZSBKorAUV.cztaY0LewgF

I am not so sure. What is your thinking on this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Grace,

I read the article and my feeling is this is just a scare tactic, a way to try and assert some power over the new administration, but it won’t work. I feel Obama will get us out of Iraq, but it won’t be over night. And I feel also that these scare tactics telegraph the fear that some radical groups have in Iraq, perhaps feeling that their cause and energy are waning. I have a feeling that the Iraqis are even more sick of this war then we are, and want to get rid of those aligned with terrorists because their presence in Iraq only guarantees our staying there. I don’t feel any major policy change in regards to Iraq coming from the new administration. I do feel Obama will get us out.

ann

If a person is trying to have a secure future when would be the best time to buy index funds, mutual funds, both american and foreign. Also with so many foreclosures out there if a person happens to have some money when is the best time to purchase a home. How long will a person have to wait for the real estate market to recover

Hi Ann,

I’ll need to run charts on index funds, and mutual funds. If there are any in particular you want looked at post their names and if you have the date and place where they started trading that would be great.

In regards to real estate, that market does not completely bottom out until March of 2011. I know that all these foreclosures seem like good deals, but remember if you are buying them now at the start of a major recession, renting them out maybe difficult. Also the worth of real estate will continue to go down until 2011 (this market is ruled by the north node, search the site you’ll find a post all about the cycles of the real estate market). So I suppose if you get lucky at an auction and are able to buy a house for 9,000 dollars or something like that, then you’ll be OK. But often people get caught up at auctions and overbid on stuff.

That being said if you personally have a good chart for making money in real estate, and use your intuition I think you could start looking into it as an investment opportunity now, but you just have to be very careful as there is a lot working against you. And you have to consider the price of real estate will continue to go down so if you buy something at auction it should be for much, much, much less then its supposed to be worth.

hopeandaplan

Hi Denise,
Hope you are well. I just wanted to say that despite how ugly things may get I am profoundly hopeful. I cant tell you the despair I would be feeling if McCain had won.
I do have one question and it is about the Taliban trying to create a full civil war in Pakistan. Pakistan has nukes and both India and the US as well as the whole world would freak out. I know you are looking at foreign policy and I think this is very dangerous. Its very complicated because the Pakistani intelligence agency kept the Taliban alive because they didnt trust that Afganistan wouldnt be overrun by India. Now, the Talibanis are turning on the Pakistanis. I think someone else asked about India… Not a real question, sorry. Do you have any feelings on this… Thanks for your great insight, as always.

Hi Hope and a Plan,

It is really complicated. And I have been meaning to look into it for a long time because I have had a bad feeling about that region. I will do a detailed analysis on this in the coming week. Thanks for the question.

Carol

Your sharing of your gifts with so many is
very impressive. I look forward to reading
your comments each day.

I wonder if you might comment on the pole
shift idea which has been predicted for the
turn of this century by so many psychics.
What is your take on that?

Hi Carol,

I have talked with other psychics, even with a mentor of mine about the pole shift prophecy. I do not believe that the poles will shift in the way that has been prophesized. This and the breaking off of California into the ocean, I argued over with my mentor who was a follower of Edgar Casey’s and worked with many other well known psychics. He was an amazing elderly man named John Brooks who is now on the other side, but anyway, he believed both those predictions. I did not and do not.

The earth moves at a different pace then we do, it is on geological time; its very slow, so while I do believe there will be a pole shift (and actually there is presently one going on) it will happen over hundreds, maybe thousands of years, and we will not really feel its effects directly. That is how I feel about California breaking off the US map. The plate California is on will continue to move and perhaps several million years in the future California will no longer be attached to the North American continent. It will happen so slowly that the only thing we will feel are the earthquakes along the way and it will take millions of them over millions of years for this to happen. It certainly won’t be a surprise when the last bit of those two continental shelves split apart.  And the pole shift will be the same, it is going on and we may see some repercussions as it does, but it won’t be the drama that has been predicted.

northernlights2008

It has become very clear that Sarah Palin is opportunistic (and not for the good of the whole). She is all about Sarah. She reminds me of fools gold which is probably why I find all this so upsetting.

As you know, she was investigated by the Legislature and found guilty of abuse of power. She was investigated by the Personnel Board and found not guilty. I feel she and her husband lied. What do the cards say? Thanks for your time; it is greatly appreciated.

Hi Northernlights,

Let’s ask the cards if she lied:

Interesting answer. It looks like they literally bought the outcome. They didn’t need to lie because the Personnel Board was a fraudulent investigation. The board’s hands were tied, and the judgement was already made before the “investigation” began, so it was a complete sham.

And the cards answered, Yes, they lied to the legislature. They made it look like they were just protecting their family and played down the vindictive nature of the firing. It’s interesting to note that it looks like (according to certain cards I keep pulling) there could be a civil case against Palin. And she will have a judgement against her, and have to pay damages to the man she fired if he goes forward with a case. So he’d win a civil case against her if he proceeded. There is, and was, a strong case against her, but there was a lot of pressure from the McCain camp to shield Palin. Now that they’re gone she’s going to have to deal with the aftermath. She however won’t see it coming. She’s on a real ego trip.

OK, I will answer more questions tomorrow. So if you didn’t get an answer, you will!

Best wishes to all,

Denise
