Truth To Power

When we stand together and use our voices they can not be silenced no matter how many voting machines they rig, or voters they scam off the rolls. I was never nervous about this election until I went to our polling place and found out how crazy things were going down there. Then I worried (human fear not intuition fear) that somehow fate would be thwarted in some evil Faustian deal with the devil made by Romney.

This election was settled by Spirit in the first days of December of 2011 as I posted back then and everything Spirit told me (I don’t know what else to call it) came to pass exactly. Now I know why my Aunt was laughing her head off and saying that I would be right. She knew I would be freaking out like everyone else. She tried to calm me but I am human and a Romney/Ryan presidency would be a disaster for the world – seriously.

Anyway I am SOOO Happy that the right man is in the job and that the Universe is  moving forward as it should – that no amount of money or powerful idiots could change what was meant to be. It is because of us – the people who saw through all of the lies and deception. I have never been prouder of the US not because Obama won but because people GOT IT!

Thanks to all who have participated and to all who have been reading my frantic freak-out blogging.

Peace, abundance and blessings to all,

Denise

And thanks to my deceased Aunt Doris and Grandmother Minnie for appearing yesterday in an effort to reassure me (and my readers) once and for all despite knowing it wouldn’t work.

Truth To Power

The Last Word on the Election

I had a ghostly visit ironically on All Souls Day – November 1st. I don’t usually have these sort of visits. And they had sort of died down – no pun intended there. I can tune into spirits when asked, but it was never my thing. And it wasn’t until about 6 months before I got pregnant that I started seeing ghosts just pop in without any reaching out on my part or being in a haunted house, etc.

It started at the Grove (of all places) a busy outdoor mall in Hollywood that my deceased father appeared next to me. I was sitting down waiting for my husband who was shopping inside (talk about role reversal) and just relaxing. All of a sudden I felt someone pull up the chair next to me. When I turned to see who it was – there was no one there, but I felt my father’s presence and he materialized. We had a nice conversation and he continued to follow me around for several years. He died when I was ten and I’d never been contacted by him before so it was really a major surprise to say the least. I asked why he was there (turns out he was there to deliver my kid from the other side and warn me that I might die but that’s another story).

So back to my main story; the ghosts were around for the year before my kid and a couple of years after. It had been a while since I had an unexpected visit. But to my surprise I was listening to NPR and all the back and forth about how tight the election was – how it might take weeks to get a count, etc. And I just was thinking to myself I didn’t believe it at all.

I got out of my car and saw my aunt. Actually an old conservative Republican in life but now a much happier, more relaxed spirit. She was laughing and told me that indeed I was going to turn out to be right. And the part of the statement I had heard that “Obama is going to win the election but it’s going to be a real nail bitter even though it shouldn’t be,” the part about “it shouldn’t be,” always confounded me a bit. Did they mean that Romney was such a lesser man, or it wasn’t in Romney’s fate or that shenanigans were going to make the race tighter than it actually was? I really couldn’t tell and since that statement I had been trying to decode it. I finally came to the understanding that it was all of the above and to this my Aunt affirmed as did her mother (my grandmother) whom I had never met in life. They were both giddy and excited about all of it and some other things that they were vague about that seemed to be related to me and my family, but anyway – just VOTE and remember you count. And WE the PEOPLE will win this time.

Our next goal will making sure it stays that way. I guarantee you Obama’s win will push the zealots on the right to even greater extremes and after exploiting all the racism – next will come the intense misogyny and attacks on women’s rights. However the women of this nation will not go quietly into the night. I am starting to believe that the discovery of Eris will be about this very thing – feminist revolutions due to the attempts of those in power who will continue to try to control and take women’s rights away. Problem will be for them – we won’t go quietly into the night and if anything this very issue could be the impetus for the next wave of revolutions – guerilla style. I will save all the visions I’ve been having about this subject for after the election.

ERIS is here and she isn’t going away.

For now we will enjoy our victory – those who want a level playing field and democracy for all.

But always remember how fragile our democracy has become and how easily corrupted. It has only been because of the work of some decent people in government that we don’t live in a theocratic plutocracy (BTW Romney would pretty much cement that path having been a BISHOP in his church and a solid Plutocrat.) It will be vitally important now more than ever that PEOPLE really be INFORMED and know history, educate themselves and stay active in politics or we will be conceding our nation to the corrupt and all that has been positive about our legacy will be seen through the dirty glasses of a very dark history.

Best to all and to all a great voting day!

Denise

The Last Word on the Election

Hey Everyone an Update…

I am liberal in my personal beliefs, because I do believe in helping other people whenever I can, and I do believe all people are not given the same opportunities in life.  In order for everyone to fulfill their true potential we need to help one another not tear each other down or deride those who make less or are less fortunate. So for those of you who claim me to be a liberal you are right – any person of faith in God (in my opinion) has to be. Every religious book, every spiritual practice teaches us to help the needy, love our brother as ourselves – you know all those things the bible teaches that so many Christians seem to have exchanged for a love of money which BTW goes directly against all teachings in both books of the bible.

Ironically I would not consider myself to be part of any organized religion – they are all too politically motivated and (in my opinion) often separate us from our own connection to the divine. But they do provide a great jumping off point and for the vast majority of people they work very well – just not people like me who are more shamanistic in our approach to the Great Spirit.

For those who think my predictions are what I wish where true, nothing could be further from the truth. Obama is actually far more conservative than I would like him to be. I wish he did do the things that FOX accuses him of, like helping the needy more. I do like him and admire him for turning this economy around and for trying to stay very much in the middle because that’s where the majority of Americans are – in the middle.

As liberal as I am about helping those in need I am very conservative about my views on violent criminals. I don’t believe that people who commit violent crimes should be given a chances which amounts to an experiment on the innocent masses of all of us who are non-violent. I do think people who hurt themselves like drug addicts and the insane should be given treatment rather than prison.

It’s true I have predicted many events I did not wish to happen. I knew Ronald Reagan would win – although I was too young to have a real opinion about this. I knew he would win a second term, I knew George Bush would win and that Clinton would get two terms that George W would win the electoral college making him our president and Al Gore would win the popular vote. I would have preferred Al Gore as the winner. In fact I was very upset about this revelation but I still made that prediction.

I actually voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary so I am not an operative for Obama although I think he’s done an amazing job despite how things have gone. The truth is I am compassionate and due to my empathy which is the very thing I use to read events and people through, it’s impossible for me to root for people whose policies I know would mean the death, destruction and contribute to poverty for millions more people.

I want everyone to be happy, healthy, and secure. I want everyone to find love and peace and a connection to God however they can or if they choose to not find God but just peace. I hold no grudges even for those who have betrayed me at the deepest levels and I pray for those who have hatred in their heart that they may find peace and happiness. It is from this perspective that I am proud to say that I am a liberal. I want freedom – this is the root of the word liberal – freedom. Just as the word libertarian comes from that same root.

I have traveled around the world and seen 3rd world countries and European democracies. I know that when people are encouraged to do well in school and given free education, when they are given real vacation time and healthcare they not only have a better quality of life they are happier more productive people with tighter family units. It is actually our government that set up many of these governments after WWII and we not only gave them freedom – we gave them a better deal than we have been able to give ourselves.

I understand that there has been a media machine brainwashing people who don’t benefit from a plutocracy – toward believing they somehow they will benefit from it. I have also had the special privilege of growing up among the wealthy 1 percent in fact my father’s family was in that group before the market crash of 1929. My grandfather was a CEO of a kosher meat-packing company and was very wealthy. His children were all conservative Republicans. My father and my mother as well were Republicans. We moved into a Republican enclave shortly before my father died when I was ten and I saw the man behind the curtain that so many Americans have not until now.

I was raised Catholic after my father died because that was my mother’s religion and it was the Rabbi who performed my father’s funeral service who introduced us to a wonderful church. I studied the bible intensively and many other religious traditions (later on). My father had wanted to be a Rabbi and in fact my family is Levite which is in the Jewish faith is from the tribe of Levi – or a sort of priest caste.

I am absolutely pro religious freedom because I believe all religions are right and all religions are flawed due to our inability to understand the nature of God and human beings desire for power over their fellow human beings. I really resent the idea that I am an “operative of Obama” as I truly am not. If there were a Republican who reflected my values I would vote Republican, but not since before Nixon has their been one that I would consider (and of course I was a baby then so…). I certainly would have voted for Lincoln. I would have voted for Eisenhower. Never have the Republicans been so in the pocket of the plutocrats. I know the Democrats are not perfect – but I do believe they are at least following in the footsteps of our Forefathers spirit. Yes, they too have been bought and if it were up to me I would say give all people running for the presidency 100,000 of public money and no more and disallow them from any contributions from the public or the private sector. I think if they actually had to convince us based on their ideas (as they used to before TV) and had to listen to our collective voices we would restore this democratic-republic to its true state of balance. Until then we are in trouble.

And there are Republicans I admire like John McCain. I just don’t think he would have made the best president at that time. He however is someone who is true to his ideals and I believe a stand up person. I’m sure if I met George W at a party, I would love the guy but that’s not who I vote for. I vote for people who will help the less fortunate because I don’t want to live in a world where hundreds of children run up to me trying to sell pencils (like in Bali) just so they can eat when they should be in school. I don’t want to live in a world where there are old blind beggars because we (despite our immense wealth) won’t give them social security or medicare. I don’t want to walk down a street where my heart aches for the hordes of homeless people we saw during the 80s when I worked 80 hours a week and gave every desperate person I could whatever money I had on me.

I believe that money is not the holy grail. I believe our connection to God and the divine, love and kindness are the holy grail that life has to offer. And that goes beyond just helping out our own family, it means helping all of humanity, all the earth and all the creatures that God has made.

Call me what you will, but this is who I am and it can not be separated from my spirituality. I see what I see and often it isn’t what I want. But just because it doesn’t match up with what others want to believe doesn’t make it wrong. In fact there have been so many things I saw coming that I didn’t want to happen like the inevitability of the Iraq war and the lies that were at the core of  selling it to us. The fact that George W was going to win because (his astrology was a tad better than Gore’s at the time for winning) and it actually upset me because I could see the dark road we were about to head down and indeed that happened. But that didn’t stop me from telling people what was going to be.

I don’t control anything. I’m just a messenger. And yes the old expression, “don’t kill the messenger” applies here. Don’t mistake me for having any power over events – I don’t. And just because I say it, doesn’t make it happen. For whatever reason I just know and am told by spirit what will happen. I am as powerless and as powerful as every other human being on this planet.

Sure if I had my way I would wave a magic wand and give everyone peace, happiness and prosperity but I can’t do that. We have to do that together by being rational and looking at the truth even when it goes against what we are led to believe.

Many blessings,

Denise

In response to all the people who have been writing me for readings. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to do this either through a podcast or something so that I can do it for free. I don’t like charging people for what I feel is something sacred. And I do feel money can pervert the ability in some cases. I originally set my rates based on what the going prices were and the fact that I was on the fence about doing readings because I do have a tendency to really empathize with my clients and it can really disturb me if they are having troubles. So I had to stop for my own health and I have been making my living writing (not for this blog by the way) and I feel that is where I am heading. I am however training a woman with an exceptional gift to take on people who need help. She will be charging less. I may on occasion do readings when I’m not so bogged down and I’m still looking for an outlet. If I could do it for people who need it but not have to charge them that would be ideal but find a way to be sponsored. So I am also looking into doing spots on radio and podcasts and when I’m not so bogged down doing my own podcast where I can read people.

For those of you who are in a bad place and want people to pray for you post on the prayer page. The more we pray for one another the better the world will be. As I said in my Noory interview the next 30 years will see climatic and environmental changes taking out more people than anything else – and all that is related to that like the spread of diseases, quakes, all things of natural origin.

Yes, the middle east will be in turmoil for a long time. But I guess it wasn’t clear that I was saying I didn’t see us getting involved in any more wars over there for the time being. Perhaps 8-12 years away but for now their conflicts will stay regional except the wars we are already involved in. Eventually I feel we will be pulled back into war and that war which we will teeter on for the next decade will the one no one would ever wish for WWIII.

In fact the future is a stew of our collective decisions and there is still a chance to change this if we want to. I am conservative on my views of Islam – the moderates are fine but the zealots remind me of the ancient middle-aged views that created the death of millions of Europeans. But I’m also concerned about people who claim to be of any religion who think murdering others or controlling others is the key to the problems of the world. God’s ways our beyond our understanding and we have to remain humble to that and follow the moral compass given us by our Creator. We know hurting, killing, violating, stealing, cheating, betraying are all hurtful – morality is really simple – Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And if you can’t relate to others or lack compassion for their circumstances take a moment to reflect on something in your own life – a time when you may have done or been in a similar situation and first forgive yourself for your failings and then do what you can to help the other person be the best person they can be in whatever small way you can.

So for those who think I’m just a “liberal” which I am. Think about this I don’t just believe in God I KNOW there is a GOD and I KNOW without a doubt that GOD is so far beyond our puny human minds that we have no business judging those who have been less fortunate than ourselves.

Blessings to all beings, may peace, happiness, love and prosperity be a reality for all who choose the path of kindness.

Hey Everyone an Update…

Gen-X as a Uranus/Pluto Metaphor…

Thomas Paine was quoted as saying, “People are more like their generation than they are like their family.” He would say that being an Aquarian. Astrologers have often undermined the importance of the outer planets in astrology but I have found them to be amazingly important in the psychology, physiology and general fate of those born under the influences of generational planets. I’ve even seen physical traits that seem to defy logic among generations. There is a certain look to those with Pluto in Leo, Neptune in Libra (the Boomers) and to those who came before them. And certainly every subsequent generation. It’s not just the way they dress, it’s the way they carry themselves and even their features seem often to reflect a subtle hint of the outer planets influence.

In the 1960s just the transiting conjunction of Uranus and Pluto was enough to cause the sexual revolution, war and the vehement anti-war movement, civil unrest and the health food movement (the transit planets were both in Virgo) and also the decline in wages leading to the death of the American dream. It  also coincided with a huge drop in the population (due to the advent of the pill and other things). Those who are commonly referred to Gen-X’ers are the smallest in number around the world.

My definition of Gen-X is astrological and goes from about 1956/57 until 1969/1970. These people have in common Neptune in Scorpio (thus the obsession with the occult, often unusual sexual proclivities and all things hidden, secret or occult) and Pluto in Virgo which brings with it a desire to be of service, interest in health, healthy living, alternative medicine, natural foods, and unfortunately also brought us lower wages on the whole, and perpetual financial problems. Many of us have had to change careers many times over (Virgo is a mutable sign ruled by Mercury) which has made it imperative to change in order to survive.

The super ultra extra generation X-ers are those born with Uranus in Virgo conjunct Pluto in Virgo. That configuration started around 1962 and ended around 1968. These people are rebellious by nature, challenging, bright and often visionary. Kurt Cobain was born 2 weeks after me the same year, we shared a grand water trine, Uranus and Pluto conjunction in Virgo making a kite off of it. He however was not as lucky as I. He had far too many planets in water. My husband reminded me that I once looked at his chart and said it looked like he was an elemental. And indeed the poor guy had no fire (like me) but was deluged by water. He had twice the water I do and no air to distance himself from his emotions. Anyone who had that chart would eventually kill themselves, he was just too sensitive and too emotional. Life was pain for him. Many of the most innovative musical artists (popular in the 1990s) had this configuration as this configuration often shakes up things. And for sure this group shook the music industry to its core, it still hasn’t recovered but that’s another story… if only they would have embraced the Pluto energy, the change and the Uranian innovation they would have figured out what Itunes did and they would be flourishing like never before but instead they resisted, trying to be conservative and killed what people loved about the art and destroyed their own business in the process by resisting new technology. Often people with Uranus/Pluto conjunct will enter into a situation right before it’s about to implode or explode and become a catalyst for this change. And of course the more the person resonates the energy of that configuration the greater their effect is on those around them.

Obama is on the outskirts of the Gen-X’er generation. He doesn’t have the radical idealism embodied by those born between 1962 and 1969. He has the practical idealism of Pluto in Virgo. He believes he can work things out rationally. However he fails to see that while one would hope the world capable of rational thought and measured intelligence, as George Bush showed us, this is not always in the genes or the generation. Pluto in Leo people (who make up the vast majority of politicians) are very emotional almost vitriolic and/or zealot-like about their ideology, of course until it changes and then they intensely defend their new world view with the same passion often using their old life as an example of why their new life is so right on. I could name a thousand celebrity examples of this, but the first one that pops to mind is “Dr.” Laura Schelssinger (she’s not actually psychologist as many assume she actually has a degree in physiology which would make her qualified to be a coach, PE professor/teacher or give her good background to be a physical therapist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Schlessinger .) All that aside, she rails on about the evils of divorce, oh yeah, she’s is a divorcee’, about the evils of adulterous affairs, that too she is supposedly guilty of and a host of other things which she vehemently chastises her callers for admitting without ever showing her own vulnerability. This quality in various forms can be seen in the Pluto in Leo generation often to good effect. They can throw themselves into things and truly effect change like nobodies business because they believe so strongly in their ideas and the Leo pride and arrogance allows them to do so without question. However the Achilles heel (for those who live in the shadow side like Dr. Laura) is intense, disgusting and ridiculous hypocrisy like George W. spending his life as the poster boy for cocaine and the party lifestyle and then doing a 180 a few years before he decides he wants to get into politics. Very convenient for him to have found God.

Well, enough ragging on the negative sides of that generation. There are a lot of people, the vast majority of the population that fall under this configuration, and for sure there are many great people and many who have used the bravery and sureness of Pluto in Leo to do amazing things. It’s just those few wankers who ruin it. But of course there are always wankers in every generation.

The Generation Y’ers are still coming into their own. Unfortunately, the Neptune in Sagittarius and Pluto in Libra combination is a hard one for personal (marriage type) relationships. Neptune in Sag wants to explore, go crazy, party, see the world, drink and generally over indulge and Pluto (which as I’ve stated is powerful transformative energy) wants to destroy, and the sign it’s in, Libra makes the aim partnerships, marriage, legal matters, injustice. On the good side of this, this generation has many strong activists for social change, those who are committed to changing the laws to make life equal for all (both Sag and Libra have legal implications.) On the negative side there is the Paris Hilton’s of this generation, who exemplifies the shadow side of this group of people.

The dark side of Gen-X is the extreme desire to be individual and the almost pathological need to be considered unique so much so that one is hard pressed to get someone in that generation to admit being part of a generation, which of course is absurd. I think many out grew this as they got older and reluctantly, and with much resentment, realized they were actually part of a group that could be “marketed to.” Other problems that I’ve seen among my peers are a feeling of hopelessness + powerlessness = apathy which is partially due to so much Virgo in Gen-X charts. Virgos have a tendency to feel small and of little value. We are the first generation to grow up mostly in single parent households (due to 50% divorce rates among our parents generation), having to adapt to radical changes in the roles of women and men. And the first generation to do worse than our parents generation did. We have often felt like outcasts and freaks, partially due to the inner turmoil between our conservative nature (we can be weirdly prudish and old-fashioned the Uranus/Pluto in Virgo) in opposition to the desire to wreak havoc (hence the Punk rock or Alternative music revolution embraced and continued by Pluto in Virgo). We want to shake things up and alternatively go forward at the same time, actually the music, literature and aesthetics of Steampunk pretty much sum up the conflicting weirdness of Gen-X people.

I focus a lot on Gen-X because not many astrologers have since we are a minor group, and difficult to understand from the outside in. We are the invisible children of the Me generation, the shadowed group that never really got a foothold as the Boomers extended their time in the work place, the group of kids left to raise themselves, fend for themselves in the face of declining jobs (since 1967) and many of us came into the career market as the first George Bush recession hit in the early 90s. Believe me I don’t think we have it the worst. We were and are a hallmark generation, the first truly modern generation bridging the gap between an America that protected its citizens from greedy corporations and stood on the side of labor, and equality and the wealthy pluto/corporatocracy we have now. We were just the first generation of people to go backwards – the beginning of the empire’s unraveling, back toward the standards of people who we were taught as children only existed in developing nations. By this I mean a health care system ranked 37th in the world below many developing nations. We are one step closer to indentured servitude and slavery each year as jobs continue to go overseas where labor is virtually free and we learn to live on the sort of money that seemed impossible 20 years ago to the Pluto in Leo generation. I know many people in their late 30s to mid 40s who are living off of about $600 a month in impossible places like the Bay Area. They live in abject poverty and can only pray they don’t get sick since they can’t afford care and apply to every job remotely related to anything they’ve done to no avail.

Let’s face it this is not a recession. It’s a depression. According to the most recent statistics 1 in 5 people is unemployed. That is 20% of the population, it was 25% during the Great Depression. Health care reform is not only imperative (and a moral obligation)  but so is throwing lobbyists out of Washington and actually  holding corporations to the same laws that we as human beings have to abide by.

Best wishes and happy holidays,

Denise

Gen-X as a Uranus/Pluto Metaphor…

World Economic Collapse…

If nothing proves else proves that we live in 2 Americas the wealthiest one percent and everyone else then this should: How is it possible that we have double digit unemployment – the worst since the Great Depression, inflation, people continue to lose their homes, businesses, jobs and the majority of the middle class has slipped down from upper to middle, or middle to lower, yet Wall Street remains in a bubble of its own?

How is this possible?

The wealthiest one percent aren’t directly effected by the down turn. But they eventually will be. The market, which is in some sort of fantasy driven bubble, will eventually get hit when no one can buy things anymore. I don’t know about you guys, but I end up at Target a lot because I have a toddler. I’ve noticed everything I normally buy for her is at least a dollar more per item. That’s some serious inflation! And only about ten percent of the people are shopping there compared to just a year or two ago. I’m not an economist, but that doesn’t bode well for the economy.

Slobbadon wrote a post which I skimmed over, but according to an astrologer he’s been following the crash is due next winter. Frankly, I keep feeling the labor pains and then they disappear. I feel the Oh, No, energy and then it recedes and the economy seems to stay afloat through the sheer will of investors and a lot of lying which I’m sure will come out later.

But whenever the next crash comes, and it will come, we are still in trouble. There’s talk of unemployment being high for a very long time. Reason being is most jobs have been shipped overseas. What I don’t understand is why our government doesn’t make it financially impractical for this to happen. Whatever happened to regulating this with tariffs and import/export duties? If if cost company A more money to manufacture their flashlights in China due to taxation and an international wage law that required Company A to pay a universal minimum wage (based on Europe or the US standards) and on top of that they had to pay shipping and exporting and importing taxes, chances are pretty good they’d just take those jobs back to the US.

There have to be solutions. It’s not right that our corporations exploit people in other countries (in old timey Dickensian fashion) and it’s not right that laws don’t seem to apply to companies. People died here in the 30s trying to get rights for unions and fair wages only to have it be pissed away and thrown out with the bath water during the Reagan years. Thanks Reagan for setting us on the course of economic ruination of the middle-class, you know the trickle down economics where the lack of cash trickles down to the point of starvation and we become akin to a developing nation.

Sometimes I wonder if we can change our trajectory, the one I envisioned in the novel Americhrist (published on this site). It feels all too real, all too inevitable which is why Obama really needs to push back. He’s a wonderful man, but so was Carter, and if he’s not careful his presidency could go the way Carter’s did. It seems there is enough of a majority of mentally challenged people in our country who not only can’t relate to an erudite, intelligent, thoughtful, peaceful, diplomat, but who actually hate people like that. It seems there are Americans who just love the sound of a big fat bully bellowing. Sad.

Get involved.

Bug your congresspeople and Obama to put the public option back on the table and pass it!

Best wishes all you kind, intelligent and gracious people,

Denise

And seriously read the book Americhrist it will make the hair on your neck stand up. I wrote it in 2000, the first draft was finished shortly after Bush took office the first time around.

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Here we go, hope I can help as we all get closer to election day and the weird tower card is starting to make too much sense.

I have been having some very odd dreams about Alaska. Another one last night: John McCain was in it with his wife. The general gist of it being that he had no natural luck in politics, and was drawing on his wife’s (astrologically speaking) luck. Without her he would never have had a successful career in politics.

I haven’t seen her chart, but I’m going to look for her birth info. If anyone knows please post it. This is interesting because his chart shows he has absolutely no chance of winning 11/4 and really his natal chart is not one of a president. I’m wondering if he’s like a psychic vampire, using her chart to get ahead. Maybe I should see if she has good aspects on 11/4. That would be interesting as it is not in his fate, but it could potentially be in hers. Weird idea. Something I wouldn’t have thought about except for having this bizarre dream.

The first question is from Curious:

curious123

First, thanks a lot for answering my question. It’s truly appreciated! I look forward to your blogs everyday. Well, call me anxious…I don’t really believe in these polls, but they are making me real nervous and crazy. Why are they tightening so much? Don’t people realize we are in a recession? Aren’t people losing their jobs? Don’t people want better healthcare and education? Do people really think Republicans are going to get us out of this freakin mess? I know and I’m trying to stay realistic. If, no, when Obama becomes president it’s going to be a while before anything is fixed. I just can’t stand that some people are so xenophobic that they don’t want to see an articulate, people first individual become president. These polls should not be 1-2 points between Obama and McCain. God, I just hope everyone turns out big for Barack Obama on Tuesday. Denise…please tell me it will. I’m crazy I know.;-)

Thanks a lot!

Hi Curious:

Remember way back after the last debate between Obama and McCain I said the race would tighten? That McCain would be seen as the winner (ultimately) of that one and start using very dirty, scary, nasty, evil (devil card) tactics? Well, hello… we’re here! But Obama is still going to win, so don’t worry! Just vote and make sure everyone you know does, too.

Here’s the post from answering Readers’ Questions back on October 15 (which seems so long ago now, it’s such a weird time we’re living in). There are a bunch of posts regarding the last debate in which this issue of McCain narrowing the gap toward election day came up. Actually it was you Curious who was worried when I posted about McCain winning the last debate. If you look under the response to your question in that section you’ll see what I’m referring to.  This is one of the entries about it. My response was long so I’ll just make a link for those interested to make it easy: https://astrologyandpsychicpredictions.wordpress.com/2008/10/15/

NO it was not my dream someone had this dream and i found it. This person had this dream on Tuesday, 28 October 2008. So this dream is about this election. Not about last administrations.

Hi Lala,

I had a feeling it was someone else’s but are you sure it was about this time period and not a dream someone put up that they had long ago? I’m going to assume you are saying: Yes, I’m sure it’s about now! And answer that question.

OK, here’s another interpretation: The eagle landing with dirty feet. Our country represented by the eagle, having dirty feet = dirty politics at the root of the problem of our nation. The snow white head and tail feathers = a purity of ideology and an ability to navigate the winds of change.

The first snake attack was from a brown snake, perhaps this was the terrorists while the right wing was in power, which would explain why the eagle was able to shake it off. North in western esoteric tradition (I’m not sure about Native American tradition here because each tribe has slightly different associations) is often associated with death and the Great Goddess. So it could be, it was facing north, meaning the bird drew its strength from the deaths that occurred on 9/11 despite the intense wound and the idea of the motherland/patriotism.

The red/brown snake could represent the accusations of Obama being called a “socialist” by his colleague McCain who was supposed to run a clean campaign, and the pale blue snake, the working class that would most benefit from an Obama win. The eagle embraced these snakes as friends would make sense and then once safely under the wing of the eagle attack the left, debilitating our country. Perhaps it could be the two wars we are already in, one in Iraq and the other Afganastan leaving us without a viable defenses and vulnerable to attack from foreign nations. This was something I was worried about with the invasion of Georgia by Russia. I plan on looking into foreign affairs more, after the election because I have had some bad feelings about the world stage in the last six months, but any way.

The first strike 9/11. And then perhaps 2 more terrorists attacks or at least attempts while Obama is president and then the time of the 2 chiefs? Perhaps something like another WW? But that is far enough in the future not to worry about right now.

Look on the bright side, if this is a current premonition, at least Obama wins. But on a serious note here, premonitions are always very dramatic and scary. Believe me! I’ve had some seriously apocalyptic dreams. I had a series of them starting back in the late 1980s about the LA riots that were just horrifying.

I’ll give you an example. I had this dream that I was working as a psychic in an all white room (which I wasn’t at the time, I was still an art student), the word Oxnard was associated with it. I saw a nuclear bomb go off over south central LA and felt the radiation coming my way. Fire fighters were everywhere, and people from another country were in my home, perfect strangers. It seriously freaked me out for years and I had many of these dreams with a lot more detail then I’m going to bother to go into right now.

But as it turned out, it was a riot in south central. I was working as a psychic in a white room on Oxnard street at the time. And a group of strange German tourists ended up staying at my home because a mutual friend lived in an area where a bunch of apartment buildings were set on fire and they couldn’t get in and out of their street. Plus the Germans were freaked out, as anyone would be.

A friend explained the nuclear bomb was a metaphor for something mind blowing happening. And this is how premonitory dreams are, they are a mix of metaphor and fact, dramatic, sweeping and bizarre. We often don’t know what they mean until after the event which always lead me to wonder why I bothered having them at all! So, I take these things with a grain of salt. They are usually not as dramatic as the dream implies. The unconscious does this to scare us into remembering the dream. It exaggerates, uses a bit of hyperbole, kind of like Sarah Palin.

So don’t fret too much just yet.

Hi Denise,

thank you so much for answering my question on the problems faced by Qantas and also on the likelihood if we ever gonna witness a cure for aids. You also asked for the date of incorporation of Qantas which is 16 November 1920. I am very concerned in regards top their safety as 3 days ago a third incident occured midair on a qantas flight. A boeing 747 lost all radar and had to actually follow another boeing around the area to Auckland (new zealand) to land. I have that weird feeling that something will happened. i just dont wish so..Just to mention that Qantas is the safest airline in the world with not a single plane crash.

Now coming to the US elections, i sincerely hoppe Obama wins and the world economies and world peace becomes better. I spoke to one Psychic in Perth, I cant mention name and she said US might experience future terorist attacks on quite a massive scale, i.e meaning attacks happeneing simulataneously at probable 3 to 4 locations.. Have you seen anything like that?? All i can wish is that we dont get another 9/11 in YSa or anywhere in the world.

God bless u

Regards

Hello Nintin,

I ran the chart based on the info you gave. I don’t know what city the company started from or what time of day they officially started but here’s a basic solar chart, not as accurate but still helpful:

Basically, it looks like Neptune is going through the company’s solar 3rd house which would be travel and the lower mind. This would make for all kinds of communication problems and near misses. It has been making a square to the company’s Sun and Mercury and an inconjunction to the natal Saturn, meaning there are structural problems, communication problems and the general health of the company isn’t so great. Perhaps they have cut back (financially) and because of this are seeing technical problems because they don’t have the right equipment or are not responsibly fixing their equipment because they don’t want to spend the money.

Now, Uranus which rules accidents, right now is at 19 Pisces. It is transiting through the company’s 4th house, again implying restructuring or moving headquarters sort of out of the blue. But Uranus is making some very good aspects to the chart which is why these have been near misses and not actual accidents. Uranus is trining (loosely) the company’s sun and mercury giving protection in a way from an accident and sextiling the company’s Moon and Mars, again positive aspects here.

You are right to be concerned as coming up Uranus retrogrades (moves backward) and then forward toward an opposition to the company’s Saturn and natal Jupiter. This will happen in January and again in March, but there is still a lot of protective aspects going on, so there maybe more near misses. But Neptune will be moving out of the company’s 3rd house in late January (solar chart so this maybe off a bit) and this confusion should get better. You may also see the company let go of a bunch of their staff and move their corporate offices around the same time.

I understand you are worried. And without having the exact time and everything I can’t be as certain as I normally would be, however, it does look like despite all the near misses, Qantas will be OK. However, if you have a feeling or some instinct, don’t trust what I am saying. Always trust yourself! If you have a bad feeling or bad dream or anything, it is always better to be safe then sorry. Tell your loved one, and if they have to call in sick or take some time off or find another job, even if nothing happens. So what?!? Life is too precious not to trust your hunches. It is always the right thing to do. Always trust your gut! You are much closer to this situation then I.

Best wishes to you.

I so enjoy your blog and appreciate all you do for people spreading hope. My question is:

Will the Congress ever pass legislation to give pre Sept. 11th vets the same expanded benefits that the post Sept. 11th vets receive? Or will we all be mostly dead before that happens? (Congress’s typical treatment of veterans.) We’ve been waiting a long time only to be told to wait longer or we aren’t the same caliber of veteran as the post Sept 11th vets. (Former Sen. Bob Dole actually said this and called them the “New Greatest Generation”. ) As you can imagine, it is causing a bit of a rift between veterans.

I have great hope in Obama, because of his record on veterans’ issues. That’s why I voted for him.

Thank you and Happy Halloween! I hope it was a good one for you. (You could sure tell times are hard in my area. Barely anyone was handing out candy in our neighborhood and only a few kids were trick or treating.)

Hi Grace,

This is horrible and really sad. Both the veterans issues and the fact that candy was scarce. It’s so upsetting the mess we are in.

I asked the cards your question: Would Congress ever legislation to give pre Sept. 11th vets the same expanded benefits that the post Sept. 11th vets receive?

The answer: Yes.

It looks like there has been a lot of hard work and sacrifice here. And it will pay off. But there will be some hard feelings left behind and even a feeling of being cheated, betrayed by the government. It will eventually pass. But this bitterness will go on for a little while because some will have lost hope in the government, sort of like when your lover cheats on you and you have trouble trusting him/her again. But ultimately it will be a great victory.

A final comment:

So I had to ask if the tower card kept coming up because of election malfiescence and the cards answer:

Yes.

Up to the old dirty tricks and intimidation. It’s disgusting.

We once were a democracy. What happened? Our forefathers and foremothers fought to break away from England. And then we split in half and fought each other to give people of all colors the right to vote. The suffregists braved the elements and the attacks against them to give women the right to vote.

All of our ancestors have fought to give us the privelages we took for granted. And then we became complacent, let Republicans steal 2 elections in a row. Not a peep from us. Not a peep. We let them have a coo. Not a peep.

Well, we are Americans and Americans will fight for freedom. If there is anything more sacred to freedom then voting I can’t think of it. If we see more of these dirty tactics we are going to see an anger rear its head in this country, so hard and loud, it will shake the tile off the Supreme Court’s roof. We may have a minor civil war here.

Let’s us, on the left, reclaim the word patriot. Because we are the true patriots. We are the people who live up to our forebears vision of this country. We are the people who believe in paying taxes to make our government strong. We believe jobs shouldn’t be shipped overseas, that Americans should come first when it comes to American companies. We should take care of our own. Not just follow our nose to where the most money can be made (China, India, etc.)

We are a melting pot, but all of us have one thing in common, we all come from strong people who braved tremendous odds to give their children and ultimately us, freedom and the ability to be whoever we need or want to be, to rise to whatever level we can or choose to rise to.

We have let a group of very wealthy plutocrats steal this from us. They have been doing this while selling us on sympathy for the devil (them), maybe someday we’d grow up to be devils, too (Joe the plumber). They have taken away everything while throwing us some bread crumbs, and brain washed us into fearing and hating one another. Divide and conquer. They have used it and won. But not anymore. Not now. We are done taking it.

We woke up and we are ready to change for the better! And those who don’t want to can feel free to sleep on the side lines of history.

Best wishes and blessings to all!
