Answering Reader’s Questions…

A reader named Roe asks:

Hi!
How much do you charge for a reading? I like your answers and the way you handle the questions. I’m curious as to what kind of a president Obama would be? Other astrologers have predicted a serious occurrence at the time of the election and also around the swearing in ceremony-what’s your take on it?

Thanks for the kind words.

I can do private readings over the phone via paypal. For a 15/20 minute reading it’s $90. I suggest doing this first so you don’t have to spend much to try me out. I can set up a time to call you and we can do the paypal transaction at the beginning of the reading, of course this would not be counted in your reading time. 15/20 minutes is generally enough to cover all of what you really need to know. Of course if you have a bunch of questions and you need a lot of information about specific stocks, etc. It would take longer and you might want to go for a 30-40 minute reading for $180 or a 60-70 minutes for $360. This is at the middle range of how much psychic phone reading costs. Here’s a link if anyone is interested in doing a price comparison research: http://www.keen.com/CommunityServer/UserBlogPosts/Lexy_Moon/Average-Price-Of-A-Psychic-Reading/358939.aspx

For those who are interested you can post and I will contact you via e-mail and we can set it up. In the case of missing children, criminal cases I would be happy to volunteer my time when I can. Or for those of you under extreme duress who really need guidance, I can do a yes/no spread and post it on the blog. Of course I’m always here for anyone wanting to ask a question in the comment section. But I won’t answer it unless it pertains to something bigger than just a personal question unless of course the issue is of dire consequence.

In reference to the later part of the question I don’t have the feeling, as I did in 2000 that the election will be thrown. Firstly, I don’t believe there is strong enough support within the Republican party to put themselves on the line for McCain, and secondly this election will not be close enough to throw. In terms of something happening during the swearing in, I’ll have to look at that. I think it’s only common sense to say that Obama is going to have to double up on the secret service, as I’m sure there will be attempts on his life. All you have to do is read some of the crazy trash people write me! And I’m just a messenger. There are a lot of violent, gun totting racists out there. I do worry about him. But we’ll deal with that when he wins.

And answering what kind of president Obama will be. I think he’s going to have an up hill battle. It’s going to be very hard for him, but he’s going to turn this economic crisis around after a few years and we’ll start to see things look up again. I think his calm demeanor and humanitarian personality will be a huge benefit to our country in our time of need, and  he will go down as an excellent president. But it will be rocky for him, there are going to be a lot of curve balls, not just with the economy, but with foreign affairs, which I’ll get into in later posts once we get through this horrible crisis.

It’s my feeling there really isn’t a person who would be better for this challenge then Obama right here and now. I think just his positive energy and slogan of hope helps uplift us even now. If we had McCain running against someone equivalent to him there would be a lot more hopelessness than there is right now. Obama represents a lot of archetypal things; he represents the American dream which a lot of people had lost hope in. He represents the idea that anything is still possible in our country, and we can’t discount how important this is to our psychology while we are facing perhaps the worst economic crisis in our history. If anything is possible, then we can get out of this, we can find a way. It is this belief in the human spirit, and American ingenuity that will translate to uplift our country. FDR, Lincoln and Kennedy had these qualities and I see them in Obama.

Comparison chart of FDR and Barack Obama

A friend told me there has been comparison made between Obama and FDR. Let’s see how this stacks up against their astrology. In FDR’s case we don’t have his time of birth, but I’ve done a solar chart which will give us a pretty good comparison to Obama except for the placement of planets in FDR’s houses.

Both have a Sun Mercury conjunction giving them intelligence, diplomacy and understanding of financial matters, close ties to women, and good oratory abilities. Both have a planet at 1 degree Cancer in FDR’s case it’s his moon and in Obama’s case his Venus. In the chart of the US Constitution this is a critical point as it is the mid-point between the US’s Mars and south node in the 5th house of speculation (also ruling the stock market). They understand crisis well and FDR responded emotionally (some would say his wife did, which would make sense as the moon is in the 5th and would indicate her) and Obama understands it fiscally and diplomatically — a more cool approach, but solid. Both had and have great passion when it comes to domestic issues especially in regards to the 5th house — stock market.

Barack’s point of fortune is on the US Constitution’s Moon, giving good luck when we need it most in foreign affairs (Sag rules the foreign) and in the 10th which is the career or industry of the nation. FDR had his North node there and it also gave us luck and a vision of how to solve future problems via government oversight and regulations which the Republicans have widdled away at ever since. As a side, we are now seeing the effects of deregulation and non regulation in the case of China — it doesn’t work, never has. It’s akin to putting the fox in charge of the hen house.

FDR  had a stellium in Taurus trining the US’s stellium in Virgo. Barack has conjunctions to this stellium, both good in this instance. Barack’s rising conjuncts FDR’s Sun and reflects the same humanitarian urges FDR showed during the Great Depression.

They definitely have major differences as well. FDR had a lot of air and earth in his chart making him even cooler than Obama, who would come at this crisis with tremendous passion and dedication to solving it, not unlike FDR, but the style would be different. FDR came at it with the same resolve, but in a more plodding manner.

FDR had Neptune in Taurus close to the same degree Obama’s opposite Neptune in Scorpio, again the see-saw, similar in a way. Obama however is more spiritual, FDR more pragmatic. I wouldn’t be surprised to find that FDR was completely secular. Obama looks for the hidden and has a genuine interest in the spiritual.

Barack has Saturn in Capricorn opposite the US Constitution’s Uranus, helping to stabilize unseen, out of the blue lightning strikes. This also gives him tremendous ability to foresee potential problems before they happen. He may not realize it, but his intuition about the state of the Union is right on. Barack has both his Sun and Mercury trining the US Constitution’s Moon, again helping to stabilize the country and sooth the emotional roller coaster we’re feeling. FDR had his Sun and Venus sextiling the US Constitution’s Moon again creating the opportunity to do the same, but not with as much punch as Obama’s.

While the two are not the same, having very different personalities, both their charts give luck, stabilization and confidence to the US’s chart. I’m not saying Obama is magic and all our problems will dissolve if (and hopefully for our sake when) he becomes president, but he will significantly ease our upcoming difficulties and be a great president. It may take a while for him to unravel this mess, but he will be able to get us back on track and the longer he stays in office the more he’ll be able to dig us out of the rabbit hole.

There are definite parallels between these two men. Both great in a crisis with tremendous aspects to the US chart.

Will John McCain survive if he’s president?

Being a cancer survivor means remission not cure. For a man that is 72 years old (the average life expectancy being 77 but lets face it McCain has had more than his fair share of health crisis in the past.

In Feb/March of 2009, not far into his potential presidency, McCain will face some extremely challenging health aspects. In August he had Uranus opposing his Venus which is when he found his soul mate in Sarah Palin out of the blue. Back to the issue, it will start (signs of this have probably already started and perhaps he knows something we don’t) when Uranus conjuncts his Saturn in the 6th (house of health). He naturally has health issues, chronic in nature that flare up from time to time, probably from stress. But this will hit him hard and oppose his Venus in the 12th (Venus rules his chart) making him look visibly ill. Pluto, we all should know about Pluto at this point — death, rebirth, sex, a hard core nasty when it hits you — will be squaring his Mercury, giving signs of speech trouble and an inability to concentrate. This aspect has been coming and going for a while which is probably why he has gotten so inept at reading from a tele-prompter. Mercury rules his Sun, Venus and his 12th house of death. This really isn’t good for a 72 year old cancer survivor.

One can never really predict death via astrology, but we can see health troubles, and it looks like he’s in for some seriously bad health early into his administration, so bad it could be fatal. Saturn (the great malefic) is also reeking havoc as it has hit his Neptune (loss and in his case rules his house of health) and then moves over his Venus, his chart ruler and then his Mercury. All in all it doesn’t look good for John McCain’s health and I wouldn’t be surprised if his body gave out early in his administration.

This is why it is imperative to look at Sarah Palin because she would inherit the throne. In her we would see an administration like Bush’s only much worse. I hate to use what some would think of as hyperbole, but in this case it’s actually not, she’s Hitler in high heels. Her chart is more akin to a dictator than a president. Actually, there has never been a president with the kind of chart she has with so much weight on fixed signs and air. Being an Aquarian is generally a pretty good thing, as most have humanitarian urges, but in her case all this is in the 7th (meaning it’s projected onto her partners) and we see an ego run amok with a weak Sun in the 7th with Leo rising. Seriously, she has no ability for details, shades of gray or anything, but absolutes.

Aquarians also like to buck the system which can be good if they have good intentions. Unfortunately, in Palin’s case it’s not that she has bad intentions, its just that she doesn’t have clear, intelligent, fair, balanced and wise judgement. She’d likely to veto bills just because. She’d shred the constitution if she could get away with it and being that we’re half way there, it’s not that out of the question. She’ll let a witch hunter pray over her if she can win. She’s irrational, self absorbed and a “know it all” — not good. Not good at all. And believe me I want to see a woman in the white house more than you could ever know, but not one that would throw us back into the dark ages.

Will John McCain survive if he’s president?

Barack Obama vs. Abraham Lincoln

Their career paths have been compared, and almost parallel in their meteoric rise from being state legislators to Presidents (in Obama’s case potential president). But what do their charts say. Are they similar? And if so how? Let’s take a look at the man who helped start the Republican party and the current lead Democrat.

Despite the unknown time of Lincoln’s actual birth we can still compare the basics so here goes:

Although Lincoln was an Aquarian he had a lot of water in his chart, specifically Pisces which gave him great compassion for the down trodden. Pisces is opposite of Virgo and the two have a lot in common, as Leo is opposite of Aquarius. Again both signs share similarities, this is because if you have the sun in Leo like Barack Obama your earth is in Aquarius, meaning the earth is actually traveling through the constellation of Aquarius. So in a sense opposites are not really opposites in astrology but rather two sides of a see-saw.

WIth so his sun and moon in Aquarius Lincoln definitely thought outside the box and was ruled by his principles but unlike Sarah Palin who is utterly lacking in compassionate or sensitivity in her chart, Lincoln had oodles of it. He was a visionary, literally and extremely intuitive, eccentric, odd looking as we know and a revolutionary for the greater good. His chart is heavy on trines like Barack’s making it easy to communicate, rise to the head of the class and understand others on a very gut level, very similar to Barack Obama’s abilities. Barack shows great aptitude for communication and shows intellectual brilliance in his chart, Lincoln shows immense genius with Uranus making a trine to his mercury both in water signs he was probably spooky (if you knew him personally) in his ability to read things others couldn’t see and size up situations in a glance. His chart is the stuff of legends. He also had Mars in Libra trining his sun, making fairness a huge issue for him much like Obama. The civil war probably pained Lincoln greatly on a personal level as he wasn’t a hawk but would have preferred to work things out through debate, alas this was not his fate. Saturn and Neptune conjunct in Sagittarius gave him charisma and uncannily good luck in his career. But it also gave him trouble as evidenced by his assassination (square to Mercury with Neptune there — Neptune bringing loss.) This was not helped by his Uranus, ruler of his sun and moon in Scorpio (can mean sudden death) square his moon. His Venus inconjunct Uranus also brought turmoil to his relationships with women and his love life which he probably didn’t see until he was smack in the middle of it and it was too late to bail out.

Obama’s chart is more stable, grounded and service oriented rather than sacrifice oriented like Lincoln’s but there are some real similarities between these two men. Obama however is a more dramatic orator, (supposedly Lincoln had a strange high pitched voice and of course Obama has a deep melidious one) and his passion is more on a gut level than Lincoln’s which was more intellectual in nature. Neither are/or where hawkish in their world view but rather keen to diplomacy first. Obama is more of a fighter with so much Leo in his chart, some would say a bit more bombastic but also much warmer. It’s doubtful that a man like Lincoln could be president during our age of TV and the internet, as his looks and personality would have been very eccentric and off putting at close inspection. Obama on the other hand has the charm and charisma needed to win the office in contemporary culture with good looks and personality playing such a key role in elections.

Obama is about as close to the likes of Lincoln as we could concievably see in contemporary America. There are some real parallels not just in their careers but in their personalities. Obama’s main focus is the working person however, and of course Lincoln’s was a bigger more pervasive assumption that he tackled. Lincoln’s chart reflects his ability to truly shake up the statis quo, Obama’s is not really set up like that, it is focused primarily on serving the everyday American trying to get by and the economy which if Obama wins we’ll be able to dig ourselves out of the rabbit hole. If not, if McCain wins look for a major global Depression where the rich get richer and less and less fit into that one percent. Our nation will look like a bad day in Tijuana. We will see the end of the middle class if McCain wins at least until someone else takes the reigns but by then it maybe too late.

MAKE SURE TO VOTE NOVEMBER 2.

Barack Obama vs. Abraham Lincoln

Barack Obama – his chart, who is he?

It’s interesting to see how prevalent the 7th house is in the charts of politicians. As law makers it makes sense being that the 7th house rules courts and justice as well as partnerships, the public and open enemies.

In Barack’s case we see a lot of 7th house action, his mind is defintely occupied with issues of fairness, equality and service. His Leo sun is reigned in by the 6th house of service so any bombast is tempered with his desire to serve coupled with his opposition to Uranus in the 7th and his Aquarius rising he has strong desire to serve humanity.

With his Pluto in the 7th his partner is strong, as we know. And has great influence, as well as Joe Biden will. He takes into consideration other points of view and weighs them heavily in his decision making process.

Moon in Gemini trine his Jupiter gives him a cool emotional demeanor and an understanding of both foreign and domestic people. His childhood would involve a lot of emotional ups and downs and moving quite a bit, this is also public knowledge but is indicated in his chart. His mother was an intellectual and teacher, (Moon in Gemini in the 4th) this created great opportunity for him to grow intellectually as moon trines his Mercury in the 6th. Again he puts his knowledge into serving the greater good. Not surprising he would become a community organizer as his need to serve is strong and taught him a lot about the world and himself.

Mars in Virgo in the 6th again reinforces his desire to play fair and serve others in the process which is probably why he was attracted to law. but the kind of law he was interested in and is interested in is focused on workers and their plight, those that serve others, he identifies with them which is part of his passion to serve.

He has the ability to think outside the box (Aquarius rising) but this is balanced by many factors in his chart which enable him to think in gradations of color as opposed to the black and white world of someone like Sarah Palin who has a proponderance of fixed signs and too much Aquarius in her chart leading her into the realm of magical thinking and the inability to listen to others, this quality often referred derogatorily as “a know it all,” is not present in Barack Obama. His chart is balanced with all the elements and enough mutable signs to offset his fixed sun and rising. He is strong in his convictions without being married to his ideas, able to amend his position to changes that come along when necessary and capable of listening to a good case and changing his mind to fit the facts and circumstances.

His emotional center is his home life, his wife and children, and his mother. Jupiter in Aquarius in the 12th making a trine to his moon will ultimately be a great benefit, just as the chips look down for him luck strikes and fate helps him along.

All in all he is compassionate, service orientated, humanitarian and extremely intelligent, if this makes him an elitist then we should all be so lucky as to be called this. His excellent aspects make him capable in many ways, not just his general intelligence, ability to understand the working person, his service oriented personality but also he understands finances not just the big picture but the details of the economy. Notice the trine between Saturn in Capricorn in the 12th and Mars in Virgo. He understands what is going on behind the scenes, things we the public do not see and knows how to fix this via legislation, Mars in the 7th in Virgo. It’s no surprise that the top wealthiest among us those in the top one percent fear him because he is not going to be a giant help to them but rather to us, the everyday people who work for a living. He has many enemies in that elite group and it will be no surprise that they will pull out all the stops to make sure he’s not elected including resulting to fear tactics (geared to the naive) which will more than likely be their main focus in trying to take him down. But alas, he does have Jupiter there to save him. So he does have hidden forces who support him and luck on his side.

He will restore our good name in the world and put our economy back on track and with all the Virgo in his chart he will reform health care for the betterment of us in the middle class.

So make sure to vote!

Barack Obama – his chart, who is he?

John McCain — Who is he really?

I make no bones about the fact that I am not a McCain supporter, but will deconstruct his chart in terms of his personality later in this article.

Other than the public facts about McCain:

He was married to a different heiress who got into a terrible accident, was crippled gained a bunch of weight and then met Cindy McCain in a bar while still married. He filed for a marriage license to wed Cindy and a month later filed for Divorce from wife #1. For this staunch conservative Ross Perot made nasty comments about McCain (he was friends with wife #1) saying something to the effect that all McCain carried about was power and glory.

McCain was a pilot in the Vietnam war. After crashing 5 airplanes he was recovered and put into a POW camp. His family has a long tradition of military service, mostly generals and high ranking officers unlike McCain himself who didn’t do well in school (sort of like our current president.)

He owns 11 houses unlike the 7 originally reported. I guess he needs the white house so he can live in a different home each month of the year.

He said he didn’t know much about economics and thinks the fundamentals of our economy are strong, very much like the statement Hoover made just before the Great Depression.

He claims he’s against lobbyists and special interests, but the majority of his high ranking staff members are made up of lobbyists.

He claimed he was going to run an honorable campaign and then released such insanely negative adds they seemed more like something one would see on Saturday Night Live then actual attack ads. Even Karl Rove said he’d gone to far with the lying. Unbelievable!

He calls Obama an elitist (my husband says this is code for uppity, a derogatory term used for black people in the south who get ahead). I didn’t believe him until Georgian Congressman Westmoreland actually said it. I guess he figured it was already out there so why not? How could a black man raised by a single mother possibly be an elitist? Well, that is answered above, veiled racism.

McCain’s wife wore a combination of clothing and jewelry at the Republican National Convention estimated to be worth $300,000. The price of most people’s one home.

He was against the wall street bail outs and now is for them, probably because his economic advisers advised him that the economy would collapse if the fed didn’t do something.

Here’s a scary bit of insider info on McCain because I live in LA and have access for various reasons to industry types; I heard a story from a staunch Republican who worked on the TV show 24, about McCain’s guest appearance on it. It seems he walked around set addressing the actors by their character’s names and sighted their character’s histories as if they were actually the actors personal stories. I don’t want to get into too much detail, but the staunch Republican man who told me this informed me that after meeting McCain he was convinced he was, “really f***ing crazy.”

The fact that he can not tell the difference between fact from fiction is a very scary thought considering he maybe running the free world in a year from now!

Now for his chart and as unbiased a reading as any human could possibly give:

The first thing I notice is the Moon in Capricorn loosely squaring his rising. Moon in Cap is in its detriment, meaning it doesn’t lend itself well to compassion, kindness or any nurturing qualities. Generally, and especially with the square this makes for a very driven, competitive, self-centered, money and career oriented personality. Making it worse is the opposition to Pluto in the 10th, again reinforcing his over arching ambition, need for public domination and desire for power at all costs.

Venus ruling his chart is in its fall and located in the twelfth of death, secrets, institutions, loss, death, psychic ability, prisons, insane asylums, etc. It’s not suprising he would be captured and spend a long time in isolation during the war in a prison camp. He is also one for secrets not just keeping them but creating them (like having an affair). It also makes sense that his first wife nearly died, spent time in hospital and lost her ability to walk. Their divorce probably saved her life.

He may not know much about economics, but he is very pragmatic and able to generate wealth for himself. His chart shows that much of his good luck comes through his partners and much of his wealth through them as well, thus marrying heiresses.

With Jupiter in its natural place of Sagittarius in the second, he is extremely lucky when it comes to work, money, assets, property, jewlery and all the finer things of life.

His Mercury — ruling his mind, makes only one significant aspect to Uranus, an inconjunction. He has trouble concentrating, is easily distracted and can’t process bigger issues and has little interest in humanitarian causes.

I won’t go into all the astro data, but suffice it to say he is extremely lucky when it comes to generating wealth and is strategic in his relationships with others, that is to say he makes friends with people that can help him and uses those connections when needed. He doesn’t have anything like what a normal person would call friends, more what normal people would call business aquantances that he thinks of as friends because he doesn’t really know any better.

There’s not much in his chart that shows leadership other than his overwhelming desire for power and his Mars in Leo (in the 10th) giving him a sense of entitlement to power. It is also Mars in the 10th that gave him his name and career in the military, traded it for political gain of Pluto which shares his 10th house of career.

On the surface of things he looks like a nice (good-looking) man, fair and honorable due to his Libra rising, but on deeper inspection we see a very power hungry, hawkish and greedy man without much capability for leadership other than as a soldier.

There haven’t been many Virgo presidents. No offense to Virgo’s I really love Virgos, but they don’t make great leaders as it turns out. The only two in our history have been, William Taft and Lyndon Johnson — neither were known for being stellar at their jobs.

John McCain — Who is he really?
