Answering Curious

Here’s a post from Curious 123…

Dear Denise
I hope all is well. I know you probably don’t feel like talking politics but it has been along time and I haven’t really seen postings from you lately about what’s been going on in the political world.
My mind has been sooo uneasy that I’m afraid to watch the news. The negativity is so mind blowing that it is truly unreal. I feel like I’m on a sinking ship and there’s no lifesavers around! I was wondering if you have any political insight… what about this “Tea party movement” or what has happened in Delaware recently… Will Palin please go away!

Do you still to readings or email readings? if so, what do you charge?
….I hope you do answer my post

Hi there,

Believe me there is no one in this world who is more sickened by the state of things than I am. It makes me literally sick.  However I do believe the Tea Party’s “victories” will end up back firing on the lot of the Republican party because they are a re-dressed modern (so far, non-violent) version of the KKK. They try to mask their racism with… really nothing, it’s just not being called out. What are they “taking back the country” from? A black man, is the answer in case you wondered. Pure and simple. They are a bunch of scared, irrational people who are very marginal. There are 2 types of Tea Baggers (I refuse their new less stupid name because they called themselves tea baggers first showing their abundant lack of smarts).

1) The extremely wealthy or those who think they are wealthy or will soon become wealthy – thereby fitting under the heading delusional; they are taking advantage of the 2nd type… 2)The Leave It To Beaver white people who woke up one day in an America which was fully integrated. And they realized they had to compete with everyone for top billing. They couldn’t claim the birthright of being number one simply because of the lack of melanin in their skin. They now have to earn their right to advantage and they don’t like it. I’m not saying all these people are bad, just ignorant, often they live in entirely white communities or have no real contact with anyone outside their tiny myopic world.

But here’s the thing, most people are not that isolated. And with each generation past Pluto in Leo (the me generation), there has been more and more integration and less and less tolerance for prejudice. I believe that integration of schools and the subsequent integration of all things has shown the majority of people all human beings are of one family. We all want the same things, to be loved, connected and appreciated.

Here’s an example. When I was a kid I used to hear people whisper behind my back, “She’s from a mixed marriage!” My father was Jewish and my mother Catholic. This was the early to mid 1970s. Even into the 1980s when I was in junior high school, the Italian Catholic boy who took me ice skating told me his parents would no longer allow it since I was Jewish. Of course, I actually had been baptized and confirmed Catholic myself by that point since my father had been dead for a couple of years and I needed something to make sense of the loss. The Rabbi had told my mother to raise us in her religion since she didn’t know the Jewish culture.  I was also regularly called a kike when I lived in a non-Jewish neighborhood after my father died. And forget about black and white people marrying back then or even being friends. One couldn’t even show that in an advertisement or a TV show or film. There were some kids on my block (who I related to because we had this same issues only their situation was more extreme) their mother was Philippino and their father was from Santa Domingo (the other side of Haiti – he was of African descent). They were treated like crap at school. Compared to what they had to go through, I felt lucky. Of course, the 2 girls and the young boy became my closest friends. They were Catholic and when my father died and I went through the process of becoming a Catholic I picked their parents to be my Godparents. They took me to church regularly. And I loved this family very much. And once I started standing up for them in school, the racist slurs lost their luster and kids left them alone for the most part.

I believe it’s important to realize there is sexism and racism in our culture. I also believe that one should not allow other people’s BS define them. If someone doesn’t like you because your Jewish, black, Asian, white, Muslim or whatever than it’s their loss not yours. This being said what is happening now is the exposure of the dark underbelly of institutional racism rearing its ugly head – hopefully for its final annihilation.

Change takes time, often generations worth of time. The Me generation who pushed forward the progress of Civil Rights impatiently complained that nothing happened (back in the 1980s) that things were still the same. They were wrong, very wrong – things did change – we have the first African-American president in our history due to this change. What didn’t change was them. Ironically, the same generation that fought for the rights of African-Americans is now the main thrust behind the Tea Party. What they are responding to is themselves or the liberal side of their generation 30 years later. This is actually a backlash against their own progress and if we see how silly and small and pathetic they are (the Tea Baggers that is), we can see that it will only backfire on them. David Duke (for those who don’t remember, was a KKK leader who ran for governor in the south) could only hide his hate and stupidity for so long, eventually with enough rope he hung himself. If the Republicans keep losing to the Tea Party, great, they’ll lose the general election and it will be good news for the broader world at large. Let’s not forget that a huge percentage of Republicans are from Latin countries (they are often in agreement with the family values side of the party or pretended values they supposedly “support”) but with the Tea Party targeting them as the enemy, how many people from that community will support someone who wants to throw out their friends or Abuelitos?

Slow and steady wins the race. As frustrating as it is that change doesn’t happen faster, Obama is making great strides in putting our economy back on track and as this information trickles out and the Tea Party exposes its grossness I believe things will right themselves. I will look into it on a psychic and astrological level though as we get closer to the elections.

Make sure to vote!

Oh, and Palin is a Narcissist with a capital N. I actually dissected her chart when she first came on the scene if you read it now (it’s still on the blog) you’d swear I wrote it after all the craziness came out about her. Just use the search box for the article. I don’t think Palin will go away anytime soon – she’s the voice of sheer stupidity and it seems that America always needs one of those. If it’s not her it will be someone else, so at least she’s easy to make fun of.

I want to take this opportunity to talk of the evil side of the Aquarius. I’m an Aquarian so I can speak of it freely. There is nothing worse than a bad Aquarian, let’s name some – Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, Dan Quail, Ronald Reagan. This is because they often appear so friendly and nice. However Aquarians can be very manipulative, narcissistic, self-centered and petty (their shadow side is Leo where the Earth sits when the Sun is in Aquarius – so it’s all the dark side of the sign of Leo, not that Leos are bad. The negative side of Leos is Aquarius – every sign’s opposite applies to this theory). I have to say I’ve had more negative experiences with bad Aquarians than with any other sign other than Sagittarius. Often these 2 signs seem to get a free pass in astrology as if they don’t have dark sides. However there are statistically more Sagittarians in jail than any other sign and they are also the luckiest, which means they are doing lots of bad stuff for a long time before they get caught. And of course Sags and Aquarians are not either bad or good (like all signs) there are negative and positive people of all signs, we all manifest our dark sides differently. It’s my opinion we should never look at the winter signs as somehow more evolved than any other sign. We go around the wheel many times and there are highly evolved people about to jump off the wheel of Samsara in all signs and there are low dark energy people of each sign as well. Ghandi was a Scorpio, Mother Teresa a Virgo, Einstein was a Pisces, Charlie Chaplin and Adolf Hitler were born just 4 days apart the same year – both Aries. It’s all how we decide to manifest our charts. We have free will and we are part of God. How we use our divinity is up to us.

Best wishes and many blessings,

Denise

Brown Question & Obama…

I’m sorry I missed the opportunity to break the bad news to everyone about the Republican win. I haven’t wanted to address politics lately due to my feelings that Obama is in jeopardy of being seen in the light Jimmy Carter was. Here is an erudite, brilliant, compassionate, articulate, idealistic man who is talking to a group of schoolyard bullies (the Republicans) as if they have what most of us in the middle and on the left have – reason. Here’s the thing – it’s basic. It’s not just the glue of greed that binds Republicans together its the overuse of the reptilian part of their brain. They don’t live lives of reflection, but rather go forward into the world, unthinking, to dominate and take their place in the tribal pecking order (I could use a more derisive term like pack but I’ll stick with tribe).

Even before Obama became president I always worried that his cool, reasoned approach would be seen as weak among those who look to a leader to be a charismatic Ogre (or alcoholic father as the model went for Bush). When leading a group of people who don’t want to think, one has to do the thinking for them, one can not engage them in public discourse. They don’t want public discourse. They truly want to be bossed around, sent to bed without their dinner and derided for not doing what Big Daddy President said.

Until Obama realizes what he’s dealing with on the right – that he will never be able to engage them in an intellectual discussion of the issues or have an interesting debate and accept the fact that they need to be led like an alpha wolf leads a pack, then we are going to have serious trouble in the ranks. And really we will be in a major stale mate. Unfortunately for Obama those who are rational, sensitive, intelligent want to be engaged in the way he engages and like feeling we have a president and not a dictator.

My advise to him would be to appeal to his base with his usual calm reasoned intellect and keep the wolves in place with some good hard core training. I think he’s starting to get this. I just wish he would have gotten this a lot earlier. I think Hillary being in public life for so long knew this from the beginning which probably would have made her a much more effective leader early on – however when women are Alphas they are known as bitches. And it would seem that in our society sexism still trumps racism. We at least think about racism, I don’t believe we even question the ingrained sexist notions we have.

Sorry I couldn’t get to the question earlier…

Many blessings and I’ll post Karma part 2 soon.

Brown Question & Obama…

Regarding A Few Posts from Readers…

Hi I got one comment from JoJo who was mad at me for talking to much about other things like religion. Oh, well, in my opinion all things are related and I like to push the envelope in regards to our assumptions about religion especially because it is often used as a crutch to do horrible things. It is also something most people are afraid to examine because of the “FEAR OF GOD!” which is a terrible ridiculous idea. One that serves organized religion well, keeps their 10% coming in and people’s minds shut off from having a relationship with God which is very sad.

Religion is also so often used to destroy others with, to invade countries, to feel righteous – all very bad things that lead to suffering and are the antithesis of spirituality. I think it’s sort of funny that people want me to just be a psychic and predict things. Where do these people think I get my information? I was given the gift because I have spent most of my lifetimes trained in different religious traditions. If anyone spends the vast majority of even one lifetime meditating and doing trance work they will get psychic information. I have memories of my past lives and believe me I earned these abilities both in other lifetimes and in the circumstances of this lifetime.

In this lifetime I have been trained in a religious tradition and have a ministerial credential. I have performed quite a few marriages in my years. It’s a strange idea that some people separate spirituality from psychic ability. It is impossible to have the “gift” and not connect with spirits, inter-dimensional beings (angels, fairies, guides, the higher self or whatever one wants to call it) and have flashes of God/Goddess’s love. Being a psychic is a modern form of shamanism. And shamans are in direct connection with the divine. Seriously, where else would the info come from? I guess that’s why some super right wing Christians think psychics are in league with the devil because their preachers tell them they are the only ones who can spread the TRUTH, while they misquote and misunderstood the bible (mostly Christ’s message, they seem to do well with the damnation part aka the Old Testament aka the Torah which isn’t supposed to be the Christian part but I guess I’m just getting fussy) and it’s perfectly fine to be like a lame parent and “Do as I say not as I do,” for many of these leaders, being major hypocrites (to say the least in many cases). Many of these “preachers” have the energy of a used car salesman on meth like Ted Haggard. Jeez, way before he came out he seemed strung out on coke and I would have better the deed to my house that he was getting some man action. Not that there would be anything wrong with him being gay or even having drug problems if he wasn’t running around damning everyone else to hell for having the same problems. It’s just disgusting the things these people do in the name of religion. They are so hateful to gay people and people with drug problems or any sort of problems which is so NOT CHRISTIAN! I know there are many really great Christan people who follow the words of Christ and who are loving and kind and pure. I wish they would speak up against these nut-jobbers who seem to be using the religion to just get rich and take advantage of people by dignifying the lowest human traits like racism, anger, hatred, war mongering, fear, etc. and find these bizarre ways to elevate this low level behavior to a spiritual club (this behavior is anything but spiritual or God-like unless one’s conception of God is that he’s a jealous, evil, mean-spirited, blood thirsty father figure who likes to create people to have sexual desire only to punish them for it, talk about Sadistic!) Christ said things like “He who is without sin cast the first stone, love thy neighbor as thyself, etc.” I mean we all know his teachings, they were not my Dad in heaven’s gonna kick your ass with his oozy if you don’t do what I say!

And anyone can be psychic if they want to spend a few lifetimes meditating and praying all the time. Or even if they want to devote  a big chunk of this life to knowing and understanding God/Goddess through meditation and trance work.

In modern organized religions God is often so formalized, intellectualized and distant that many priests and preachers don’t get to actually experience God directly but rather go through the prescription of the bible or other holy books. I have met priests and nuns who have a beatific quality, it’s obvious they are very connected to Spirit (most Buddhist monks and nuns are like this, they spend the vast majority of their time meditating). But western religions are not big on shamanistic practices or on forging ones own connection to the divine, but rather we are taught to blindly believe the bible and those religious figures who teach it. History has proven this to be problematic from the burning times of Europe when 25% of all women were murdered to our current crisis of Christian Crusaders blowing up abortion clinics, terrorizing doctors and building Mega Churches with our tax dollars for the military so they can get pumped up in their fight against Muslim extremists. Does anyone see the problem here? I’m sure 99.9% of you do.

So for those who don’t like the theological side of me, well, I’ll just have to say I’m given information by a greater force than myself and that includes where my spiritual beliefs come from, they come from a lifetime of connecting and praying, meditating and giving myself over to the Great Spirit to channel the truth. If it doesn’t jive with a book written more than 2,000 years ago, oh, well. And if it you’ve meditated on your own connection and what I say doesn’t feel right to you, I completely respect that as we all have our own spiritual paths. But the one thing I will never respect is paying someone else to do your spiritual work for you because not only does it not work, it actually causes spiritual devolvement. It is the most dangerous thing about organized religion which is why, ironically, I have more in common with most atheists and agnostics, in this regard, than I do people who blindly follow a specific faith without using their own higher self to guide them on that path.

All religions are the truth. It’s just the truth is buried inside the faith, and one must do the digging on his or her own to progress down the path. This is because religions become like a millennium long game of telephone, and by the time the information is given to you via multiple interpretations of the scriptures and political events that color or even edit either the meaning/tone or actual information in the scripture. Try reading all the different versions of the bible. Now imagine all those versions came from early translations that were translated from early translations that were passed down through oral tradition for thousands of years. As you can see the truth soon becomes a needle inside hundreds of tangled haystacks. Many of these haystacks manipulated (say sprayed different colors or covered in chemicals or whatever) by the culture and those in power at different points in history. The only way to find that needle is to close your eyes, meditate upon it and plug into the part of you that is one with God. If you do, you walk right through all the thousands of haystacks, right to the center of the one that has the needle inside it, as if it was never lost.

Many Blessings,

Denise

Oh, and to John who posted about Lincoln,

I’m from Illinois so I’m sure I didn’t get the whole story of Lincoln. I don’t know enough so I can’t argue with your information. I’m sure he was corrupt in some ways. But he did end slavery and that took some pretty big balls.

I had heard someone in passing say he was racist, but I think everyone was back then. People were segregated and whites had no real contact with African Americans and those who did would have had contact with either slaves or extremely poor and/or undereducated African Americans thus adding to people’s stupid assumptions.

The moral argument against slavery wasn’t that they believed in the equality of the African Americans, it was about the immorality of slavery itself. I think it’s a bit much to believe anyone back then was really that advanced in regards to their understanding of race or gender. I’m sure Lincoln was a total sexist, too. As the vast majority (99.99999999%)  would have been because it was the culture they were raised in where women and minorities were not given the same opportunities and of course if you limit people then they can’t help but live up to their culture’s limited expectations. It is only the rare few that are able to rise and then they are considered the “exceptions.”

There’s always a way for people to protect their ignorance. I thank you for your information about Lincoln. I’ll have to do more research about him.

One Of Those Weeks…

It’s been one of those nutty weeks trying to catch up and of course my baby got sick which means late nights and interrupted sleep.

I was glad to see that Arlene Specter moved away from the party of nut jobbers (now at just 20% of the country calling themselves Republican since they have successfully collapsed the big tent) and with the obvious yet pathetic (on the part of his Republican adversary) attempt at keeping Al Franken from his rightful place in the Senate, but he’ll be vindicated soon, this puts the Dems at the exact 60 seats I predicted and as I said in the prediction last October it would be a squeaker. And boy was it. I was kind of shocked at the accuracy of that prediction when Specter announced his change of party.

And I’m going to toot my own horn here again and say that Obama has been doing an amazing job with the economy. As it turns out the stats are in that since he’s taken office the economy is in the process of doing a 180 and there are some economists who feel the recession maybe over as early as this summer. Pretty amazing. I would be cautiously optomistic about that one, but I do feel we will really truly be recovered in the next couple of years. The unemployment rate is preey outrageous here in California but then again we have a Republican robot Governator so what did we expect? My mother used to say that Republicans were known for their excellent foreign policy and Democrats for their domestic work. As it turns out Republican leadership isn’t good at either! Not this brand of crazy, neo-con nut-jobbers.

And has anyone noticed that the press (I noticed on my local Fox affiliate and have heard it a few other places as well) that President Obama is often referred to as Mr. Obama? I can’t think of any other sitting president who was referred to as Mr. Is this some weird kind of racism, just like the FOX news freak out about Obama showing respect for a foreign Saudi leader instead of holding hands and skipping toward photographers for a photo op. Sometimes I really think George W. had some kind of serious intellectual deficit. I think he may turn out to be our first and only mentally handicapped president. Actually, that’s an insult the mentally handicapped who are often amazingly kind and gifted people in other ways. George was certainly not that. Thank God he’s gone!!!!

Oye Vey!

I will write longer posts soon when the little one is doing better.

Best wishes and many blessings to all you fine people,

Denise

Well Mrs. Denise you have done it again…you stated that the racial aftermath of Obama being elected would have some nutcases coming out the woodworks with hate crimes starting to rise.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081115/ap_on_re_us/obama_racial

Will this type of behaivor evaporate or will it get worse?

Hi Renee,

I read the article you sent. Wow, it’s very sad. People seem to find a way to live up to our lowest expectations often more than they do the opposite way around. I’ve been feeling that this will get worse for a little while during Obama’s administration, not that there will be more racist idiots, just that those racist idiots will become more organized and dangerous.

On the other more positive side, I do feel some people who were perhaps not so vehemently racist will soften, and open up a bit as Obama will be an amazing president, and many people will truly admire him. So the vast majority will support Obama. I have a feeling the crazy racist faction has, and is pushing back (as you referred to an earlier post where I talked about that) but over time I see that group splintering into those who become more insane, and those who see their way out of it. Three steps forward, two steps back, that will be the way this goes down.

Dear Denise,

A question and a comment.

Question: I fear that Monsanto, the producers of genetically modified (GM) corn, soy beans and grain, could possibly bring about a famine–due to their not allowing for a variety of grains (by other companies) to be raised in the United States. In addition to disastrous impacts upon the environment, and GM product’s nutritional defects, our putting all of our eggs in one genetic basket (using only one variety of seeds) could bring disaster if that seed variety fails–like the potato famine. I can not find specific incorporation dates for this company. What do you see astrologically for this company?

Comment: I whole heartedly agree with your 11/13 statement with regard to the religious right. As is stated in this quote:

“The resurgence of fanatical religious fervour occurring in many lands cannot be regarded as more than a dying convulsion. The very nature of the violent and disruptive phenomena associated with it testifies to the spiritual bankruptcy it represents. Indeed, one of the strangest and saddest features of the current outbreak of religious fanaticism is the extent to which, in each case, it is undermining not only the spiritual values which are conducive to the unity of mankind but also those unique moral victories won by the particular religion it purports to serve.” The Promise of World Peace, 1985. Author: The Universal House of Justice of the Baha’i Faith,

Hi Sally,

I looked for data of when this company started, all I could find was when they began trading and I have a 2 charts for that, but they won’t really tell us much about the goings on of this company. It’s odd, this company seems very secretive. I’ll post the charts, but again they are related to the value of the stock, and not what the company is doing.

picture-5picture-42My intuition is that what happened to the stock market will happen to the agricultural business down the road. With a lack of diversity, and all eggs placed in one basket, the situation is ripe for major devastation of our food sources. This is scary. I will continue to try to find information about this company, and look into it some more. Please remind me in a few weeks if I haven’t posted anymore about it.

Tomorrow I will answer:

Pat

Wished I knew about your prediction back in September re the stock market big fall.

Love your insights here and check it daily for updates.

I appreciate if you could provide an insight as to whether I should hold or sell this AUSTRALIAN stock

Hi Denise,

I came across this site which got me thinking about the trend going on in these various cities (Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City) all of which are asking for handouts from the Federal government. Is it more widespread that the cities mentioned and is there a particular astrological aspect that runs through them all? Here’s the site:

Thanks again for you insight.

Hi Denise:
(1) The Gallop poll shows that Obama’s favorability rating is at 71%. Are the people who didn’t vote for him finally starting to see him as the right person for the job? This rating is very good for someone who hasn’t even taken office yet. Go Obama!
(2) Do you the know the timing of when Sarah Palin will have this civil case against her? She has been plastered all over the news lately. Everyone wants an interview with her to ask about her $150,000 + clothes (was this her doing?). She should really be ashamed of herself for saying those lies about Obama. She’s so quick to call people “jerks” and liars if they say anything negative about her…but when she does it, in her eyes it’s ok…like when she tried to incite hate and violence towards Obama. It’s just so upsetting to see these republicans being so hypocritical and mean. I don’t understand them at all.
(3) Speaking of hypocrisy, Elisabeth Hasselbeck (Sarah Palin’s twin sister), the woman who is so hated by many for her strong republican views, constantly butts heads with her co-hosts. I really don’t think her co-hosts enjoy working with her, eventhough they say they do and they all love each other. I feel they secretly hate her too and they just have to put up with her because this team brings high ratings. What do you think about this?
Thanks again for answering our questions. I really enjoy this site…I feel we have our own little community in here where we can come to share our views, seek spiritual guidance and feel hope! Thank you Denise!

Best wishes to all of you and many blessings,

Denise

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Answering Readers’ Questions…

The first question comes from Sinead:

Sinead

Can you tell me more about Philadelphia and PA regarding Obama?

OK, let’s ask the cards again about PA. Which came up as a maybe last time. Perhaps with the ad and a few days closer to the race the Collective Unconscious of PA will be decided.

Will Obama/Biden win the state of PA?

Well, the cards are now saying: No

I don’t completely understand it because it looks like there are tremendous economic problems in this state according to the cards. But there is also a lot of fear and distrust of Obama. This is going to be an upset. The tower card comes up reversed, never a good sign. I’ve been seeing this a lot in the cards. I saw this card come up a bunch before 9/11. In this case it looks like Palin has scared a lot of voters away from Obama. She is the centerpiece here of the reading, and it looks like she’s appealing to the fear and xenophobia. There will be some very strong supporters working to turn it around, but right now it looks like PA will not go to Obama. Even among Obama supporters there has been a walking away. I don’t know why. I could speculate, but I’m going to leave it here for now and maybe re-visit this issue in a few days. I’m very surprised to see this, I was just watching the news, and they predicted a solid win for Obama in PA. Odd.

The next question is from Wyntyr:

Wyntyr

Hi Denise,
I am so glad that you answered this post. For many reasons. I agree with you that we will see many radical hate individuals, groups, etc. in the coming years. Because people are really hurting due to the economy, losing jobs, and their life savings there are going to be people that are going to strike out in hate. Like that will solve anything. It’s sad. But, by explaining things as articulately as you do then maybe people can be forewarned and educated so that we maybe keep the violence to a minimum. We really all have to band together as a nation of citizen’s and look after one another no matter what our race or religion. And, thank you for bringing up the ‘Christian’ factor. I live in a state (NC) where one of our senators (R-Elizabeth Dole) has just released one of the most vile, horrific television ads against her democratic opponent Kay Hagan by calling her Godless and falsely fabricating an audiotape. It is honestly one of the filthiest ads I have ever seen televised. I intuitively feel (R) Elizabeth Dole will lose her seat in NC and wonder what your thoughts are? We have a funky ballot in our state this year which will probably cost Obama our state because so many people are choosing a straight ticket and are forgetting to select their Presidential choice at the top of the ballot (which coincides with your NC prediction) but I am hoping that Dole gets bumped out as she doesn’t deserve a place in politics.
) Thank you again for your dedication and wisdom! Your blog is the first thing I read when I get up everyday! )

Hi Wyntyr, I don’t live in NC, but I did see the ad on either Countdown with Keith Olbermann or the Rachel Maddow Show tonight. I had seen your post and had the news on in the background so I made sure to pay attention to that part of the broadcast. Wow, it was really disgusting. And kind of insane on top of everything else. I couldn’t really tell what the point was other then making Dole seem like a paranoid nut jobber. So let’s ask the cards your question.

Will Elizabeth Dole lose her senate seat to Kay Hagan?

The tarot says: Maybe. It’s going to be so tight. It may take a recount or something because it will be so close.

Something is up. I keep getting the tower card reversed in almost every reading. There could be serious voter fraud here or since it came up for a different state as well, some sort of horrible tragedy just before the election. I am going to look at the chart of the US to see what’s going on and try to figure it out. I will post about this later.

Denise, What should people who are in IRA’s do? If your not 59 1/5 you pay 10% to take your money out and then pay taxes on it at your current rate which could be an initial loss of 30% or more. Should we pull out of our IRA’s? Will we lose more or all if we don’t? If we stay in will it come back? When? Thank you

Hi Flyer:

You can take your money out of the stock market and put it into a FDIC insured CD for now. There won’t be any penalties because you’re just moving it. Since the economy is going to get worse before it gets better there is talk of allowing people to take out money early to help them get by (actually Obama already alluded to this) without any sort of penalty. I’m not sure how much that will be. The main thing is the stock market is going to really bottom out at the end of December and into January because Pluto will go over the first house. It will also oppose Uranus and will seem out of the blue. The market may appear to be getting better before this happens. And once Pluto goes over the market’s first house we will see a real tsunami, globally and very clearly. All that has been hidden will come out. It isn’t going to be pretty.

I personally took everything out of the market (it was just one money market IRA but still) and put it into a FDIC insured CD IRA the day before I started this blog, back around mid-September of this year because I kept hearing a voice tell me to get out. That was the inspiration for this blog. I wanted other people, especially those getting ready to retire to be able to save what they’ve worked their whole lives for. I felt if one person listened and was inspired to get out, and it saved them from going broke, it was worth it. I have no idea if anyone listened. I hope someone did.

But anyway, back to your question. The market is going to remain extremely volatile as this Pluto aspect keeps happening, it will go back and forth over the first house for the next few years. So I personally think it’s too risky to invest in for anyone who isn’t a mulit-billionaire. I’m sorry if you have lost money already. It makes the whole equation a lot more difficult. I hope that is not the case, but chances are you have. In that case I would use your intuition to pull out when the market is up enough for you to recover some or most of what you have lost. If you can pull out before late December, do it! Hope that helps some.

I want to ask you about “FOX news”, there is something not right with them, I look at all cable news shows and I find them offensive on all fronts.

What do you see for them in the next 4 years with a President Obama in the White House????

Hi Tjuania;

You are right. They are run by Rupert Murdoch and have had many lawsuits slapped on them because it is basically just a front for Murdoch’s personal agenda of pushing for traditional Republican idealogy –more deregulation. I find it ironic that he bought the stock exchange this summer and according to what I have heard has lost a fortune because of it. Ironic, because it was the pushing of deregulation that has and will be the collapse of the market. But anyway. I was just saying to my husband tonight that I believe FOX news will shrivel up.

I asked the cards: Will FOX news go out of business in the next 4 years?
The answer: Yes.

Again, I got the tower card reversed. I am getting a little spooked here. There is something very bad around the pike. This is not good. I had a dream about driving through a tornado the other night, but I don’t think that was literal not that there won’t be a literal aspect to the dream. Perhaps there will be a real tornado that devastates the mid-west. I hope not. I think the dream was a warning that something very bad is brewing. Again I’m going to look into this and try to figure it out.

Hi Denise: Thanks so much for answering all our questions and easing our minds during this dirty election. I can’t believe all the nasty stuff going on. What’s the story with this Joe the Plummer? Is the McCain Campaign paying this guy to endorse him? His campaign is so dirty. I am so disgusted. Does Palin (and the republicans) really think she’s going to run for president in 2012? She’s more of a moron than I thought. I’m looking forward to seeing her get impeached (karma!!) Thanks!

Hi Tckal:

I’ll ask the cards about “Joe the plumber,” who it turned out wasn’t really a plumber, but anyway.
Was and is “Joe the plumber,” a Republican plant?

The cards say: Kind of.

He was just a regular semi-employed, uneducated idiot who took it upon himself to question Obama, but since then they’ve used him to say and do things that they can not. He’s a Republican and an opportunist. And so are they — they are relying on his stupidity to freak out crowds. But, it isn’t really working because he’s not coherent or articulate enough. It wasn’t a very wise move on their part. It just makes them look desperate, and even more erratic, and idiotic then they do already.

Thank you for answering my question…. I was wondering about the “30 minute Obama ad”. Will this ad be effective or will they try to paint this as him being an elite?

Good question. I thought it was really moving, but you never know how people are going to take this sort of thing so lets ask the cards.

Will the 30 minute Obama/Biden ad help them win over voters?

The cards say: No. Surprising to me. I have to ask a follow up.

Will the 30 minute ad hurt the Obama/Biden campaign?

The answer: Maybe.

I think it will hurt them as their will be a viscious spin from the Republicans about how he spent all this money. Already we’re seeing McCain question where he got all his money. It isn’t going to hurt him among his supporters, but it doesn’t look like it will have convinced those people who are racist of anything other then he has a lot of money. John McCain is going to work the whole angle of how he’s the poor underdog, big time, again playing to that xenophobic crowd. Sadly, these people don’t seem to have a heart to touch.

I must say this is the first time in my entire life that I’ve felt like I was voting for someone I want to be president instead of a lesser of two evils scenario. I felt that commercial was excellent, it made me cry (this could be partially hormonal, you ladies out there know what I’m talking about.) You could really feel the goodness, honor, caring, compassion and genuineness of Obama despite the slickness of the documentary style commercial. I felt it really did highlight how special Obama is. It reminded me of what people told me about voting for Kennedy. Many people felt this intense love for him, felt he represented a new hopeful future. I feel that way about Obama. He is the first politician I actually feel is involved in politics because he wants to make the world a better place instead of for his own personal gain. (Having said that I do like other people like Hillary and Bill and many others, but they don’t have the same purity of spirit Obama has.)

Lori

Denise, I just want you to know your site is helping me keep sane right now in these last few days before the election! I am checking the data sites like fivethirtyeight.com, which is wonderful but I felt that wasn’t taking into account things like Republican dirty tricks, which is why I went in search of more intuitive information. I think the cards might be right about Montana and Arizona, strange as it may seem, because it fits with the way the polls have been going lately. (I have family and friends in Montana and they all have voted early for Obama and some have even helped with the campaign–as a whole the state is conservative of course but they might like Obama’s outsider status). I am wondering what we can do about the hate crimes and xenophobia that may be brewing over the next few years. Are there preventive steps that can be taken before we see real trouble, and if so, what are they? Thanks.

Hi Lori:

I wonder that myself. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we take three steps forward and two back. There will always be entropy and order, shadow and light, good and bad. I’ve travelled all over the world and hatred is everywhere, it takes different forms. Prejudiced people in England don’t like the French. The Australians bigots don’t like the Aborigines. And of course everyone hates the Jews. That’s a pretty universal one. I could go on, but you know what I’m talking about. It’s just human nature. People seem to need a whipping boy. They seem to need someone to feel superior to. Of course not everyone has that problem. But we all have some prejudices taught to us as children and left unchecked they can take root and become ugly.

A friend of mine recently told me he found liberal racism more insidious because liberals try to hide their prejudice. Actually, being half Jewish I have to disagree with him as I would have been gassed if I lived in Germany in the 30s, and was often called a kike, even though my mom was Catholic.

Personally, I appreciate when people keep their anti-semitism to themselves. It’s what I call considerate. These liberal types are not the sort who will murder you. Some may not trust you immediately, but they at least give you a chance. And they try to be open. Even if they have to fight themselves to do it — this just makes me respect those people more! It means they are working against their shadow self by trying to be better people. That is honorable and about all we can expect from anyone.

Recognizing our prejudices, acknowledging them, and keeping them in check when they rear up is the best and only thing we can do. Eventually they disappear, the more we confront them. But this takes actual self-examination, and work. Many people find it easier to live in fear and feel better then whatever whipping boy their culture deems appropriate.

The only answer is time and evolution. I believe the more evolved we become the more we will see were are all the same. But don’t look for utopia on that front any time soon.

Answering Readers’ Questions…

Here are a list of questions from readers. I’m going to answer all of them over the next couple of days so if your on this list check back. I may not have time to get to everyone tonight, but I will come back and answer you.

The first question is from Tjuania:

Tjuania in Desoto, Texas

I was wondering, do you know if there will be any other investigations againse Sarah Palin, and do you know what she will be doing on November 4, 2009???? I hope she is in Alaska, somewhere figuring out whether or not she will be impeached????

I had written a couple of posts about Sarah Palin just after the Republican convention when there were just inklings of her ethics trouble, mostly in the tabloids. I actually called in Palin-gate because the term trouper-gate hadn’t been coined yet and I figured every corrupt political event has to have a gate on the end of it because of Watergate. But anyway, her chart indicated that if she handled the investigation with arrogance and lying more skeletons were going to shake lose out of her closet. If she would have been amenable and somewhat modest, this would have blown over for her. But she has a lot of enemies up there (from her chart) and by being cocky and whipping crowds up as she has, she’s going to get some serious karmic retribution. Now, it won’t be before the election. It will happen over the next couple of years. She has Neptune conjuncting her sun and that can give you a certain glamour but it also causes delusion. It can also increase your psychic ability if you happen to be of that persuasion. But alas Sarah is not. This again is a karmic outer planet. And it is making some bad aspects to her chart. If you search the site you’ll find 2 articles about trouper gate (search Sarah Palin) in the tarot reading, which is probably the one you read, it said she would have an ethics violation but it wouldn’t be criminal. But her astrology (which is a much longer time frame I was looking at) showed that she won’t be out of the woods with just this one investigation and as I said earlier if she handled the way she has been handling it, it was going to lead to big trouble and possible impeachment.

Now will she be impeached? I’ll ask the tarot, but sometimes when things are too far in the future the tarot gives a maybe, but we’ll see here…

And the answer is:

Yes.

I have and have had a feeling that once this Neptune transit lifts off her sun she’s going to fade back into obscurity and this would make sense if she gets impeached. Neptune causes a lot of illusion, delusion and again glamour, all of which we are seeing in her case. If she had not abused her power and been a stand up gal, this transit would have ushered in the glamor, greater intuition and maybe so many opportunities she wouldn’t have known what to do with them, but she could have remained a player on the national stage. Alas, it seems, unlike what pundits and logic would dictate, she will be a super nova and burn out as fast as she has blasted into the scene.

She’s made a lot of her fellow politicians uncomfortable and there’s been some funny business it looks like with finances. Once she’s investigated their will be issues related to financial matters that are at the heart of her impeachment.

Noooo! Please, say it aint so! Will he a least hold his own during the last debate? Will the “Bradley” effect take place come Nov. 4?Please, say it aint so! About this last debate…I just hope he gets his policies across. Mccain/Palin need to have karma bit them in the butt!

Hi Curious,

I couldn’t agree more. I was surprised to see McCain “winning” according to the cards. But I think its more like the way Biden/Palin was a draw. McCain can’t really win at this point, he’s double digits behind Obama. But he can attack. And boy did it look like he was going to. So much so that Obama will not really be able to defend himself completely.

Hey if any of you who work closely with Obama can give him this message. McCain’s going to really be nasty. He’s going to throw stuff at Obama that we haven’t seen before. McCain is coming up as the devil card, meaning he’s going to be abusive.

I don’t think Obama has any idea how assaultive and aggressive McCain is going to be and this will throw him off a bit. Honestly though there isn’t much Obama will be able to do against this insanity, if he fights him, it won’t look good either. He’s just going to have to unwind the lies and mess McCain will make for the next couple of weeks after the debate. I think McCain may have some crazy surprise he’s going to throw at Obama. What that is? I don’t know. But it’s not going to be pretty.

I just want to say that McCain will appeal to his base in this debate. Those people who live in fear, are xenophobic, hipocritical and nasty, their going to love this new take no prisoners McCain.

I’m going to ask the tarot if this debate will effect McCain’s poll numbers:

Yes. We will see a rise in his numbers but mostly from the disaffected. It looks like those that will be attracted to this new side of McCain are very negative people. I’m being generous there, these people are very angry, confused, competitive, racist, hypocritical and have psychological problems. But there’s enough of them that it will make his numbers go up, so there you go.

Sandrine

Oh my Oh my !
So will Obama lose or win the election ?
Do you see clearer ?
Will he win the popular vote and lose the electoral one ?
Or will it be a landslide none the less ?

I asked the tarot if Obama would win by a landslide:

The answer, Maybe. But he’s going to have to work his butt off.

I’m worried that McCain is going to whip up the extreme racists in this country. I worry that Obama will win and someone will try to assassinate him before he’s sworn in. This is my greatest fear right now. I would blame the McCain campaign directly if this happened. This is the kind of fire and darkness McCain is stirring and will stir during the next debate. It is disgusting and very scary. I hope McCain gets it together and the other side of his personality takes over again and he reigns in this evil side. We’re going to see this evil side the next few weeks before the election. It’s sad that people actually will actually respond positively to this and like that in a leader. I guess that’s how Hitler won the election in Germany. I guess all McCain cares about is winning. He clearly has no ethics or scruples.

Hi Denise, Thank you again for all of your insights. You are really doing a therapist’s service trying to keep everyone from losing their minds! I have a philisophical question. You mentioned that you saw things progressing better with Obama than McCain… As new people, nations, and ideas are proposed and implemented, is it possible that choices could be made and the Dec 21-22 aspects could reflect a radical new approach instead of a destined Dow market implosion? I have to believe that we have the ability to alter both our fate and consequently destiny… I am praying for it everyday, for the highest good of the world. Thanks.

I am too, thank you for praying. Everyone should be right now.

You are right in that fate and destiny interact with free will which is why Einstein talked about different time streams. We literally create alternate futures depending on which way the Collective Unconscious (Jung’s term) shifts.

Right now we are truly on the precipice of choosing, hope, life, healing and upraised consciousness or fear, hatred, prejudice and the planets extinction. It really is that dramatic. I’ve been seeing these two time streams for the past 20 years. We’ve taken turns down each of these paths. But right now this next step is the one that jumps us off the cliff. If we make the wrong decision it may not be possible to save our world. Seriously. I am so worried.

I am ultimately an optomist and want to believe in the basic good of humanity. But I’m also old enough to see this isn’t always so. Fear and Love are equal forces, if they weren’t free will would have no meaning. If love always conquered all (like in the movies) then there would be no Pul Pot, no Hitler, Stalin, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc. And it would be easy to turn fear off and turn on the love we have for our family, friends and humanity on when it was needed. But this isn’t so.

Earth is a classroom with no supervision. We have teachers drop down every once in awhile but mostly we’re on our own to figure it out. I just pray there are enough of us who are spiritually evolved (meaning: compassionate, generous, loving, kind hearted, good spirited, helpful, polite, etc. not neccessarily religious) that we can make it across this threshold.

Often the 3 major Western religions have done more harm in the way of spiritual development than good. I’m not saying there aren’t very evolved and truly spiritual people who practice all religions, I’m saying that because these practices require a giving over of the self to a priest, rabbi, or imam instead of fostering a direct relationship to the divine, it encourages several infectious spiritual diseases. In the case of Christianity the idea that one can be forgiven for any and all sins by Christ and go to heaven just by believing in Christ takes away personal responsiblity which is why we see so much hypocracy among even the higher ups in the most radically judgemental churches. Basically, this is a form of spiritiual narcissism that fosters a sense of entitlement instead of what Christ meant to foster which was humanitarianism, compassion and love. I could go on, but it’s getting late and I have a lot to say about this subject matter, this is actually one of the main reasons why I wrote a 100,000 word speculative/spiritual fiction novel. I’ve posted the first chapter and will continue to discuss this and post the book.

Anyway, I’m going to turn in for the night and I’d love any feedback people might have about spirituality or religion. It would be nice to open up a real discussion about it rather then let it get relegated to the ultra right Christians vs. the Atheists. Not that there is anything wrong with either, but there is more to be said about all of this then is being represented by either side. Both have had the ear of the mainstream for a long time, it’s time to actually deconstruct all of it and move up another level.

One positive note to leave everyone on, we are in such a period of novelty and things are changing so fast that what seems horrible today will turn tomorrow. I can see Obama being sworn in as President. I can see it very clearly. But we all must work hard and not take this for granted. And once he wins, he better have the best secret service detail the world has ever known. That’s obvious. But now with McCain’s rhetoric, it’s going to be even more necessary.

Best wishes, blessings and good luck…

Here are the other questions I will answer tomorrow and the next day:

judy ann

With a active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii causing severe air pollution and a bad real estate market here as well as everywhere else when would be the best time to sell a home And by the way your concern for others and your generosity are really wonderful judy

barry

Then perhaps you are seeing gold being confiscated by governments like the US government has done in the past. People would be forced to use paper currencies and thus no legit market for gold.

I assume you see the same for all precious metals, silver, platinum, as well as precious metal mining stocks?

Celli

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. Dont want to hog the show, but if you can answer these I’d be grateful. There are preduictions elsewhere that suggest that:

1) the elections might be stolen by fraud;

2) if this happens, there’s likely to be a huge riot of youth causing much loss of life.

What does the tarot say about the likelihoood of these two things happening?

Hi. I was wondering if McCain’s chart could cause a global depression how Rupert Murdoch’s chart, DOB: 3/11/31 interacts with the DOW since his company News Corp purchased it on 8/1/07, per the BBC news report. Might it be a collapse of just the DOW?
I was wondering how the Nasdaq chart might fair? It seems to holding up better against the Dow. Just looking for a glimmer of hope!
Thanks!

Hi

We are going to NY in Mar 09 to see our son. What is your view on the AUD/USD exchange rate then.

Thanks

Denise, thank you so much for answering my questions. I’m going to be purchasing a 15-20 minute session in the next 2 or 3 weeks, but I was wondering if you could just answer yes or no on this question: Within 25 years will the technology/medical advancements exist that will enable perfect to near-perfect facial skin regeneration?

Thanks so much,

Octavia
