Iran…

Uranus is at 4 degrees Cap in modern Iran’s first house, opposite Jupiter and Neptune, inconjunction the natal Moon in Gemini, square the Sun in Libra and making a sextile to Saturn in Pisces in the 2nd house.

What the hell does all of this mean, Denise? All the obnoxious astro jargon, let’s get on with the analysis.

When transiting Pluto hits natal Uranus in a person’s chart it’s like a mini-nuclear bomb goes off in their life. They have a tendency to blow everything up, much to their later chagrin. This is when you find stories of husbands leaving the love of their life for their overweight alcoholic secretary because she tells him how nice he looks everyday so she can get a promotion. She wants to sleep her way to a better paying job (men do this, too and it does happen unfortunately on both counts) and he wants someone to make him feel special. When she gets the better job and he’s filed for divorce and now the other woman has dumped him for her long time love, he’s lost, regretful and has completely destroyed his former life.

When a person is more evolved he/she sees the freight train coming before hand and jumps off the tracks. Unfortunately, those that possess the foresight to do so are extremely rare. We are by nature an extremely myopic race, most often only able to see what is directly in front of us. So Uranus hitting Pluto is a game changer, an explosive one at that. Think even of the roots of the two elements used for nuclear energy and or bombs, uranium and plutonium. Really, this is not a coincidence. As a matter of fact Pluto was found around  the development, production and dropping of the atomic bomb. These energies are big, universal and explosive and Iran being as unstable as it is one can only speculate that there is to be major instability, war or civil unrest brought on by this conjunction.

In the 1960s just the transiting conjunction of Uranus and Pluto was enough to cause the sexual revolution, war and the vehement anti-war movement, civil unrest and the health food movement (the transit planets were both in Virgo) and also the decline in wages leading to the death of the American dream. It  also coincided with a huge drop in the population (due to the advent of the pill and other things). Those who are commonly referred to Gen-X’ers are the smallest in number around the world. My definition of Gen-X is astrological and goes from about 1956/57 until 1969/1979. These people have in common Neptune in Scorpio (thus the obsession with the occult, often unusual sexual proclivities and all things hidden, secret or occult) and Pluto in Virgo which brings with it a desire to be of service, interest in health and healthy living, alternative medicine, natural foods, and unfortunately also brought us lower wages on the whole and perpetual financial problems. Many of us have had to change careers many times over (Virgo is a mutable sign ruled by Mercury) which has made it imperative to change in order to survive.

The super ultra extra generation X-ers are t hose born with Uranus in Virgo conjunct Pluto in Virgo. That configuration started around 1962 and ended around 1968. These people are rebellious by nature, challenging, bright and often visionary but they can often take awhile to find their true path and often feel lost or overwhelmed. They are often late bloomers.

But back to Iran. Transiting Pluto will be conjunct the natal Uranus (in the first  house) starting next year. This will mean there will be radical changes in the way the country sees itself. Most likely there will be a two-fold situation going on, the young and the liberal people will desire an end to their current government and the conservative rule it represents (Capricorn.) And the government itself will feel overly confident about its power in the world and feel it has the world by the balls (so to speak) it therefore could act out irrationally and push boundaries which will probably be triggered by the sanctions put on the country (again in Capricorn – money, career, lively hood, etc.)

My best guess is an uprising from the young people there to overthrow the government and for the government to act out globally therefore crushing the uprising inside the country as the irrational acts of the government will endanger the lives of all those within Iran’s boarders. Again this is very likely a war aspect, being in the first house I would say that it will probably start from within and work its way out. The best case scenario would be a change in the government, a restructuring based on what the people want there and an ousting of their present configuration which is very possible. Let’s hope the struggle stays internal and they just give themselves a face lift or rather a brain transplant. We shall see as we have the power to change our future and the people of Iran still have the power to steer their country toward a brighter future for themselves rather than an international entanglement.

Best wishes and happy holidays,

Denise

Iran…

Gen-X as a Uranus/Pluto Metaphor…

Thomas Paine was quoted as saying, “People are more like their generation than they are like their family.” He would say that being an Aquarian. Astrologers have often undermined the importance of the outer planets in astrology but I have found them to be amazingly important in the psychology, physiology and general fate of those born under the influences of generational planets. I’ve even seen physical traits that seem to defy logic among generations. There is a certain look to those with Pluto in Leo, Neptune in Libra (the Boomers) and to those who came before them. And certainly every subsequent generation. It’s not just the way they dress, it’s the way they carry themselves and even their features seem often to reflect a subtle hint of the outer planets influence.

My definition of Gen-X is astrological and goes from about 1956/57 until 1969/1970. These people have in common Neptune in Scorpio (thus the obsession with the occult, often unusual sexual proclivities and all things hidden, secret or occult) and Pluto in Virgo which brings with it a desire to be of service, interest in health, healthy living, alternative medicine, natural foods, and unfortunately also brought us lower wages on the whole, and perpetual financial problems. Many of us have had to change careers many times over (Virgo is a mutable sign ruled by Mercury) which has made it imperative to change in order to survive.

The super ultra extra generation X-ers are those born with Uranus in Virgo conjunct Pluto in Virgo. That configuration started around 1962 and ended around 1968. These people are rebellious by nature, challenging, bright and often visionary. Kurt Cobain was born 2 weeks after me the same year, we shared a grand water trine, Uranus and Pluto conjunction in Virgo making a kite off of it. He however was not as lucky as I. He had far too many planets in water. My husband reminded me that I once looked at his chart and said it looked like he was an elemental. And indeed the poor guy had no fire (like me) but was deluged by water. He had twice the water I do and no air to distance himself from his emotions. Anyone who had that chart would eventually kill themselves, he was just too sensitive and too emotional. Life was pain for him. Many of the most innovative musical artists (popular in the 1990s) had this configuration as this configuration often shakes up things. And for sure this group shook the music industry to its core, it still hasn’t recovered but that’s another story… if only they would have embraced the Pluto energy, the change and the Uranian innovation they would have figured out what Itunes did and they would be flourishing like never before but instead they resisted, trying to be conservative and killed what people loved about the art and destroyed their own business in the process by resisting new technology. Often people with Uranus/Pluto conjunct will enter into a situation right before it’s about to implode or explode and become a catalyst for this change. And of course the more the person resonates the energy of that configuration the greater their effect is on those around them.

Obama is on the outskirts of the Gen-X’er generation. He doesn’t have the radical idealism embodied by those born between 1962 and 1969. He has the practical idealism of Pluto in Virgo. He believes he can work things out rationally. However he fails to see that while one would hope the world capable of rational thought and measured intelligence, as George Bush showed us, this is not always in the genes or the generation. Pluto in Leo people (who make up the vast majority of politicians) are very emotional almost vitriolic and/or zealot-like about their ideology, of course until it changes and then they intensely defend their new world view with the same passion often using their old life as an example of why their new life is so right on. I could name a thousand celebrity examples of this, but the first one that pops to mind is “Dr.” Laura Schelssinger (she’s not actually psychologist as many assume she actually has a degree in physiology which would make her qualified to be a coach, PE professor/teacher or give her good background to be a physical therapist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Schlessinger .) All that aside, she rails on about the evils of divorce, oh yeah, she’s is a divorcee’, about the evils of adulterous affairs, that too she is supposedly guilty of and a host of other things which she vehemently chastises her callers for admitting without ever showing her own vulnerability. This quality in various forms can be seen in the Pluto in Leo generation often to good effect. They can throw themselves into things and truly effect change like nobodies business because they believe so strongly in their ideas and the Leo pride and arrogance allows them to do so without question. However the Achilles heel (for those who live in the shadow side like Dr. Laura) is intense, disgusting and ridiculous hypocrisy like George W. spending his life as the poster boy for cocaine and the party lifestyle and then doing a 180 a few years before he decides he wants to get into politics. Very convenient for him to have found God.

Well, enough ragging on the negative sides of that generation. There are a lot of people, the vast majority of the population that fall under this configuration, and for sure there are many great people and many who have used the bravery and sureness of Pluto in Leo to do amazing things. It’s just those few wankers who ruin it. But of course there are always wankers in every generation.

The Generation Y’ers are still coming into their own. Unfortunately, the Neptune in Sagittarius and Pluto in Libra combination is a hard one for personal (marriage type) relationships. Neptune in Sag wants to explore, go crazy, party, see the world, drink and generally over indulge and Pluto (which as I’ve stated is powerful transformative energy) wants to destroy, and the sign it’s in, Libra makes the aim partnerships, marriage, legal matters, injustice. On the good side of this, this generation has many strong activists for social change, those who are committed to changing the laws to make life equal for all (both Sag and Libra have legal implications.) On the negative side there is the Paris Hilton’s of this generation, who exemplifies the shadow side of this group of people.

The dark side of Gen-X is the extreme desire to be individual and the almost pathological need to be considered unique so much so that one is hard pressed to get someone in that generation to admit being part of a generation, which of course is absurd. I think many out grew this as they got older and reluctantly, and with much resentment, realized they were actually part of a group that could be “marketed to.” Other problems that I’ve seen among my peers are a feeling of hopelessness + powerlessness = apathy which is partially due to so much Virgo in Gen-X charts. Virgos have a tendency to feel small and of little value. We are the first generation to grow up mostly in single parent households (due to 50% divorce rates among our parents generation), having to adapt to radical changes in the roles of women and men. And the first generation to do worse than our parents generation did. We have often felt like outcasts and freaks, partially due to the inner turmoil between our conservative nature (we can be weirdly prudish and old-fashioned the Uranus/Pluto in Virgo) in opposition to the desire to wreak havoc (hence the Punk rock or Alternative music revolution embraced and continued by Pluto in Virgo). We want to shake things up and alternatively go forward at the same time, actually the music, literature and aesthetics of Steampunk pretty much sum up the conflicting weirdness of Gen-X people.

I focus a lot on Gen-X because not many astrologers have since we are a minor group, and difficult to understand from the outside in. We are the invisible children of the Me generation, the shadowed group that never really got a foothold as the Boomers extended their time in the work place, the group of kids left to raise themselves, fend for themselves in the face of declining jobs (since 1967) and many of us came into the career market as the first George Bush recession hit in the early 90s. Believe me I don’t think we have it the worst. We were and are a hallmark generation, the first truly modern generation bridging the gap between an America that protected its citizens from greedy corporations and stood on the side of labor, and equality and the wealthy pluto/corporatocracy we have now. We were just the first generation of people to go backwards – the beginning of the empire’s unraveling, back toward the standards of people who we were taught as children only existed in developing nations. By this I mean a health care system ranked 37th in the world below many developing nations. We are one step closer to indentured servitude and slavery each year as jobs continue to go overseas where labor is virtually free and we learn to live on the sort of money that seemed impossible 20 years ago to the Pluto in Leo generation. I know many people in their late 30s to mid 40s who are living off of about $600 a month in impossible places like the Bay Area. They live in abject poverty and can only pray they don’t get sick since they can’t afford care and apply to every job remotely related to anything they’ve done to no avail.

Let’s face it this is not a recession. It’s a depression. According to the most recent statistics 1 in 5 people is unemployed. That is 20% of the population, it was 25% during the Great Depression. Health care reform is not only imperative (and a moral obligation)  but so is throwing lobbyists out of Washington and actually  holding corporations to the same laws that we as human beings have to abide by.

Best wishes and happy holidays,

Denise

Gen-X as a Uranus/Pluto Metaphor…

Back Again to Basic Astrology

Over the next few posts I’m going to deconstruct some charts and give some tips for those who are interested in learning the art of astrology better. I will do this hopefully, as clearly as possible and also talk about transits and how they effect us and our charts. The subjects will be anonymous for their privacy. I’ll start with this chart:

Picture 18Let’s start with the basics. On the far left, the symbol that looks like a Roman number II but joined together is the symbol of Gemini. The house it rules is the first house, meaning at the time this person was born Gemini was the constellation rising in the east. The glyph that is a circle with a dot inside is the sun and this person’s sun is in Libra in the 5th house.

The house systems can be difficult to understand so I’ll break it down into very practical easy to understand mechanics. Each house represents a different time of day, always.

At the top of the chart, the culmination point or 10th house, represents, the mid-point of the day. Here’s where charts seem counter-intuitive; the sun actually rises from the east or 1st house and then goes into the 12th house, the 11th house, 10th, 9th and so on. Why the western chart was set up like this, I have no idea.

So the 12th house actually represents the period of time just after dawn for about 2 hours, the 11th house the morning and the 10th from approximately 10AM to 12 PM, the 9th house is usually from about 12-2 PM, the 8th 2-4 PM, the 7th 4-6PM, 6th 6-8 PM, 5th 8-10 PM, 4th 10PM – Midnight, 3rd Midnight – 2:00 AM, 2nd house 2-4 AM, the first house 4-6 AM. These times are approximate depending on the time of year and the exact time the sun rises that day. So if it rises at 6:11 AM then the 12th house is from about 6:11 AM – abouy 8:11 AM and the rest of the chart of course adjusts accordingly.

So an astrologer, based on the time of year, place and date of your birth should have a pretty good idea of what house your sun will fall in and a narrowed down idea of what your rising is. For example if  a client was born at 11:00 AM on February 3rd you would know immediately their sun was in the 10th house because the houses in the chart revolve around the placement of the sun. Meaning, depending on where the sun was in the sky, it will fall into a particular house, like this fake client who has sun in the 10th near the culmination point of the day. The signs or constellations in general move through a house in approximately 2 hours, hence the breakdown of the houses. The closer a person is born to the equator the more equal the houses will be, meaning each sign will move at about the same speed through the sky therefore making the houses fairly equal in size (by degree). However the closer a person is born to the north or south pole the more unequal the signs move, and they actually sort of pile up on each other causing what is known as an interception. An interception is when more than one sign occupies the same house or place in time/space at once. This creates uneven houses where some houses are very large and others small in a person’s chart. For example someone with Virgo at 0 degrees intercepted in their 2nd house will have an opposite interception on the other side at 0 degrees of the 8th house as these two houses are mirror opposites of one another in the sky or to put it simply; the 2nd house is 2-4 AM and the 8th house represents 2-4 PM. The second house occupies a parallel place below the horizon of the rising as the 8th house above the horizon of the rising.

So to get back to the fake client born 2/3 at 11:00 AM we know they have a 10th house sun and if they were born in Central America they you count backwards 2 signs and they would have an Aries rising. If however they were born far North or South it becomes a bit trickier to tell right off the bat. However if someone was born on the equator in winter, or summer or anytime of year it would always be the 2 hour interval. This is what makes astrology complex mathematically. All I can say is I’m happy to use a computer to do the calculations, it’s a million times faster. I used to do them many years ago and it was fatiguing. But it did help me understand the basic dynamics of how the stars, constellations and planets fall in a chart and see the patterns in it rather than it being a crazy bunch of glyphs that had no relation to one another. So enough super technical stuff, let’s dissect the chart a bit and I’d love it if other people would use their intuition and knowledge of astrology to point out things and explain them in the comments section.

Even though there is no birthdate or time on the chart I posted we know immediately this is a young person because he/she has the outer planets in a configuration only seen during the 1980s. The outer planets are Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. They are generational planets. Some astrologers have argued because they move slowly and effect such large groups of people they are not relevant to individuals. I however completely disagree with this notion. People are products of the time they grow up in and are just as influenced by their peer group as they are by their families. We are complex beings. Especially when a person has an outer planet making either intense aspects or rules the sun, moon or rising, this intensifies the individuals connection to their peer group.

Some basic explanations here readership’s are the planet that rules the constellation. So:

Mars rules Aries and the 1st house

Venus rules both Libra and Taurus and the 2nd and 7th houses

Mercury rules Gemini, Virgo and the 3rd and 6th house

Moon rules Cancer and the 4th house

Sun rules Leo and the 5th house

Pluto rules Scorpio and the 8th house

Jupiter rules Sagittarius and the 9th house

Saturn rules Capricorn and the 10th house

Uranus rules Aquarius and the 11th house

Neptune rules Pisces and the 12th house

This means that the 12th house has Piscean qualities and so does Neptune, same with all the other associations given above.

So back to the chart above we see a strong grouping of planets in this persons 5th and 6th house. This means these areas of his/her life will be more emphasized in this person’s chart then in most. This person needs a creative outlet as the 5th house rules Leo things like children, hobbies, creativity, the arts, drama, acting, theater, performing and gambling. The 6th house is more practical and has Virgo elements in common such as: service, a person’s job, health, health care, nutrition. With Mercury and Venus in the 6th house (Mercury is the natural ruler of this house although in this person’s chart Pluto rules it as Scorpio is on the cusp) making a trine or positive aspect (approximately 120 degrees apart makes a trine) this person has good communication with their mother who is likely to be from a foreign land (not born in the same country as the child) and with Venus conjunct Mercury in Scorpio also included in this trine to the Moon Jupiter conjunction, this person is likely to be very intuitive, perhaps psychic especially in relationships with women and their mother. This person is likely to be highly sensitive to his/he environment and this sensitivity because it is in the 6th house can lead to health problems. Ok, I’m going to go more into this tomorrow, it’s getting really late and this is going to take awhile to explain…

Best wishes and many blessings to all you kind souls,

Denise

The Outer Planets: How they effect us personally (part 1)

For those of you who have researched astrology, you’ve probably read that Pluto, Neptune and Uranus are more generational in nature and don’t effect our personality or us personally in the same way that the “personal” planets like: the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn do. (Of course the Sun and Moon are not actually planets but for the sake of astrological influence are lumped in with them and referred to them as such.) But let me assure everyone that this is a major error and misnomer on the part of astrologers that I plan to explain.

The argument set forth by astrologers is that because these outer bodies are slow moving, they can’t directly effect individuals and instead have more to do with whole generations. True, in a way, but lets examine this assumption. There is a quote I read many years ago by Thomas Paine (which I’ll have to find later and post exactly) that states basically: People are more like their generation then their own parents.

People born within a generation (I’ve noticed) not only have  have physical characteristics about them that stand out. The Baby Boomers have Pluto in Leo and Neptune in Libra. Leo the lion has a mane, is it any surprise that this generation was obsessed with hair? They even had a musical with this name and it was a major source of protest for hippies to let their hair grow in every direction, and as long as it could get. This is just the superficial start of how Pluto in Leo plays itself out within the generation.

This was the generation dubbed, “The Me Generation,” again Leo rules the ego, family, creativity, fertility, children, child-like behavior, speculation, hobbies, theater, drama, performing, And this generation was the first to radically change the dynamics of the family literally Pluto = transformation, death and rebirth, sexuality and in Leo the family, the performing arts (hello rock and roll.) This was the beginning of massive divorce rates and partner swapping, which would be the Neptune in Libra. Neptune = confusion, delusion, illusion, spirituality, psychic ability and Libra = Partnerships, marriage, the visual arts, issues of fairness, peace, strategy, legal matters. All people in this generation have dealt with permutations of these issues directly. And in a strange way this over-arching theme among people born from the late 1930s to the mid-late 1950s I’d argue effects them more because they not only have personally dealt with these issues in various forms in their own lives, but it colors their perception of history and world view because their peers also share these same issues and there is a presumption cast on all humanity that these themes are ever present, when in actuality they are, but not to the same degree.

Let’s look at the generation after the boomers, the Gen-Xers, born from about 1957-1971 (this is from an astrological view point not the standard arbitrary time frame given for generations). Less people were born during this period then any other, especially when Pluto conjuncted Uranus in Virgo. This was the height of the sexual revolution from about 1962-1968. Uranus rules revolution, and Virgo rules: perfectionism, health food, dietary concerns, health, medicine, service to others, analysis, criticism, and is associated with the fashion industry. With Uranus conjunct Pluto during a chunk of this generation from about 1962-1968, we have seen a rise in (and I know because this because I am part of this nutty generation) over-zealous almost religious fervor about health food, dietary issues and exercise. On the positive side there has been an exploration (by this generation in particular) of eastern medicine, energy work and all things non-traditional in regards to healing the body.

This configuration also gives a strange sort of not wanting to be part of a generation thing, where there is an emphasis on individuality because of the Uranus interaction with Pluto, and a recycling of the past in new ways, hence the obsession with vintage everything. Also this generation has Neptune in Scorpio which brought to the forefront the modern primitive/tattoo clan, and also an acceptance and fascination with the occult in general among my peeps.

I’m going to continue this post tomorrow, discecting generation Y and beyond. And then wrap it all in a nice bow and illustrate how these generational traits play a personal role in our lives.

I’m going to be lazy and sleep now. It’s been a very hectic couple of weeks, and it’s almost the holidays. And I haven’t even finished shopping! That’s how behind I am.

Best wishes to all of you. May your dreams come true (as long as they are not nightmares) and may the Universe bestow many blessings upon you, and your loved ones.

The Outer Planets: How they effect us personally (part 1)

Answering Readers’ Questions…(India & Pakistan War?)

Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a good holiday for those of you in the US. And I’m very sorry for those who went through the horrors in Mumbai. Wishing all the people of that city much peace and healing in this very troubled time for them. I will focus on issues regarding this area of the world in this post.

Nitin

Hi Denise,

hope u r well. thanks for all your contribution for the blogs. My main concern was always qantas and another recent incident 3 days ago mean a qantas airplane had to shut down one engine and land on one engine only. My gut feelings are not good.

Also i would like to mentioned that i had the weirdest dream the previous week and it looks like nightmare. Then came the Mumbi attacks. I just learned that a family friend who was staying at the Taj got killed. may be my dream was an omen.

Now the next question is Will India and Pakistan go to war?

why i think it is imporant to ask this question is because it would have an impact in the war on terror in Afghanistan. I feel a new test for president elect Obama on international affairs is coming.

Hi Nintin,

I thought of you when I heard there had been a crash of a training jet. I think it was New Zealand Air which of course is not even the same country, but it is in the general area of Australia. I always think its best to trust your own intuition especially if you or someone you love is directly involved with the issue at hand. You more than anyone will be plugged into the zeitgeist of that company especially if you are an intuitive type which it seems you are. So trust yourself. What’s the worst thing that can happen by doing so? If you work for them, you get another job and nothing goes wrong with the company. Well, maybe its because you were meant to move on with your life. And even that is a good reason to listen to your intuition.

I want to stress here for EVERYONE: ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INTUITION! It will never lie to you. It will never lead you astray. It will always guide you, if you let it. It is intuition that saves peoples lives in crisis situations. IF SOMETHING OR SOMEONE DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT — TRUST YOURSELF! Forget being polite, forget social morres. I have hear countless examples of people trusting themselves and barely escaping serial killers and those who went against everyone intuition and were later nearly murdered.

Why do you think all the animals on the island of Sumatra started walking up hill hours before the tsunami hit? Trained elephants were seen literally breaking free from their chains just hours before the water rose. These were animals that had never exhibited this behavior before. The answer is simple. They have instinct — intuition. Something we all have, but humans turn it off, and chose to listen to our logical brain. We talk ourselves out of our feelings, often at our own peril.

So if your about to get on an airplane, and you suddenly feel really panicky, and have no logical reason why, have always been fine before a flight, and just start to sweat, or itch, or something weird as you stand in line to get on — bail out. I hearby grant you permission! Death isn’t an worthy test of your psychic abilities.

It’s my feeling that in the case of 9/11 and in Mumbai, Madrid and in London were these attacks have taken place, more people were not killed because they did get a weird feeling, and people trusted it. There should have been more people who died in all of these situations which tells me, and it should tell everyone, some part of us knows danger and that part is ALWAYS to be TRUSTED. Above and beyond logic, psychics, preachers, priests, gurus, presidents, authorities, whomever.

Now for your next question. I’m going to post both the charts of Pakistan and India here and do some analysis:

india

both-pakistan-chartspak-outer
inner-india-outerindia-bothOK, I know I posted a lot of charts, some are comparisons from India’s side, then from Pakistan’s side of the equation. It’s interesting to see how at the very beginning both of these countries were very similar, and would have gotten along like twins.

Then the second chart for Pakistan when it became an Islamic Republic, still has some commonality with its mother country, but takes a strong turn.

Looking at the transits on the start date of the Mumbai terrorist attacks and onward, Pluto was at 0 degrees Capricorn (a critical degree) exactly opposing India’s Mars and in Pakistan’s original chart, their Mars as well. It was also making an exact inconjunction to India’s rising. Pluto rules nuclear power, mind blowing experiences, the occult, death, the hidden and unseen, power over others and Mars rules aggression, war, fighting, guns, weapons of all kinds, the military, etc.

There was also an exact fatal Neptune opposition from Aquarius transiting the country’s 10th house, opposing the country’s Sun. This was also an attempt on the part of the terrorists to disrupt India’s business and wound the spirit of the country, and the feeling of safety not just for westerners, but for Indian nationals as well.

Transiting Uranus was also making an applying square to the country’s Jupiter in the 6th house (almost exact), giving chaos a greater opportunity. Luck was not on the India’s side. Uranus also was making an applying inconjunction to the mid-point of the natal Sun and Venus, so the health and financial well being were suddenly disrupted, and men, women and children were all fair game to these disgusting vile sickos.

India (as we all know) has been recently blaming Pakistan for the terrorist attacks, and calling it their 9/11. Now here’s the very scary part: transiting Pluto will be at 2 degrees of Capricorn, going through Pakistan’s 9th house of foreign countries, squaring the countries Mars. This happens around the 20th of January 2009. This could very much mean a retaliatory attack from India against Pakistan at that time, and it could (with Pluto’s involvement) involve nuclear weapons, perhaps not the high powered kind we have, but still. This information may not be known to the general public right away, if ever, or might not come out immediately because of the 12th house involvement. It maybe that India takes out terrorist camps with dirty bombs, or some kind of weapon that isn’t like Hiroshima, but smaller, more targeted and meant to surgically destroy a particular area. But chances are good they won’t just use traditional weapons with this transit and are more likely to use very powerful, surgical type of warheads or nuclear type of weapons.

Transiting Neptune will also be opposing Pakistan’s natal Jupiter in the 5th house in January, exactly. I would think there would be some global confusion in terms of their alliances with other countries at that time, also with Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Leo in the 5th it seems this country has a tendency to control its children to a pretty extreme degree, this Neptune opposition could put these children in real danger. I’ll put this bluntly, it looks like there is a strong element of brain washing geared toward children, and children are often gambled with in order to gain power (Pluto conjunct Jupiter in Leo 5th house), with this Neptune opposition, many of them could die as a result of them being used for a particular ideology (Neptune=loss, 11th house=ideology). So it could be that many of the terrorists and terrorists in training are actually pretty young, some even children.

Then into late February Saturn will retrograde, making a transiting opposition to Pakistan’s natal Mercury in the 12th house (ruler of the 3rd and 6th), I believe causing more conventional type of conflict perhaps an invasion across the boarder from India into Pakistan (3rd house) perhaps even declaring a sort of martial law or a take over of the country (6th house of general health of the country, Saturn being constriction, opposing Mars violence, 12th house behind the scene and ones hidden enemies).

All in all, I’m going to say there is a very strong chance that come early-mid January of this year we will see talks between India and Pakistan break down completely as transiting Mercury will oppose India’s natal Mercury and there is no glue nataly between India and Pakistan, they really do not know how to communicate with one another. Pakistan has Mercury in Pisces in the 12th, very duplicitous, sneaky, religious in an organized religion sort of way, intellectually repetitive and India has Mercury in Leo in the 3rd, very bold, dramatic, intellectual, wordy, perhaps even threatening things they often don’t ever intend to do (under normal circumstances). They are like a goat and a pig trying to carry on a conversation, just doesn’t work. Once talks break down, this is when we will see targeted nuclear strikes coming from India in my opinion toward the end of January and then there is a strong possiblity of a conventional war/invasion in February.

OK, I was planning on going over a bunch more questions tonight, but got very absorbed in all the charts relating to India and Pakistan.

I will get to the question of NIFTY tomorrow.

Malayali:

Do you have the start date of when that market began? And when trading starts each day for NIFTY? I can run charts based on that and give some analysis. Please post it if you have that info. I will try to do some research myself in the mean time and I will post about it tomorrow.

More questions from readers. The first comes from Judy Ann:

With a active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii causing severe air pollution and a bad real estate market here as well as everywhere else when would be the best time to sell a home And by the way your concern for others and your generosity are really wonderful judy

Hi Judy and thank you,

Unfortunately the real estate market is going to get worse before it gets better. It will really bottom out in 2010, but will be really bad as well in 2011. It won’t turn around until about 2013. Now If you can hold on until the end of 2018-2020, you will make a fortune. This will be like the boom we saw before this past crash. I’m talking about homes though, and not commercial property. If you bought your property when the market was down before (from about 1994-1996) you’ll still do fine selling now, even if it takes awhile. So if you need to get out of the area, I would say do it sooner rather than latter, the real estate market is only going to get worse before it gets better.

I’ll have to check on the other issue you mentioned, the volcano. I’ll try to find the chart of the big island if I can and post what I find about a potential eruption, which I’m sure people are afraid of if it’s smoking and as you mentioned the air pollution must be horrible and not helping tourism much.

Hope that helped some for now. I’ll come back to the other issues in a later post.

Best wishes.

Then perhaps you are seeing gold being confiscated by governments like the US government has done in the past. People would be forced to use paper currencies and thus no legit market for gold.

I assume you see the same for all precious metals, silver, platinum, as well as precious metal mining stocks?

I’ll have to ask the tarot about this one because its pretty broad and its not like there are charts for precious metals. So here goes:

I asked the tarot if the US government confiscated gold would it confiscate other precious metals, too?

The answer:

An emphatic, yes.

However I wasn’t specific about which precious metals. I could go through the list of which ones if you’d like to repost and ask that specific question. But it seems investing in precious metals is not the answer to our collective financial woes right now.

The next question comes from Celli:

Celli

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. Dont want to hog the show, but if you can answer these I’d be grateful. There are preduictions elsewhere that suggest that:

1) the elections might be stolen by fraud;

2) if this happens, there’s likely to be a huge riot of youth causing much loss of life.

What does the tarot say about the likelihoood of these two things happening?

I’ll have to ask the tarot about these possibilities. I’m sure we are all worried about this after the last 2 dubious elections.

Question 1: Will the 2008 Presidential election be stolen by fraud?

Thank God… Phew…

The answer: No

There will be attempts but no.

It seems those who betrayed us in the past are being watched and know they can’t get away with it this time. They have their hands tied and are too afraid of going to jail if they try it again.

So I guess we don’t have to ask the second half since it was a strong no.

Hi. I was wondering if McCain’s chart could cause a global depression how Rupert Murdoch’s chart, DOB: 3/11/31 interacts with the DOW since his company News Corp purchased it on 8/1/07, per the BBC news report. Might it be a collapse of just the DOW?
I was wondering how the Nasdaq chart might fair? It seems to holding up better against the Dow. Just looking for a glimmer of hope!
Thanks!

Thanks for this information and it’s a very interesting question. I was not aware Murdoch bought the Dow.

So I ran his chart.

Karma is a beautiful thing. Isn’t it? Here’s a man who has spent his whole life creating propaganda selling his own personal agenda under the illusion of news, purely out of blind ambition and greed. Oh, how the mighty fall. Great timing that he bought the Dow just before it was about to explode. It’s going to take him with it. And it doesn’t look like he did the Dow’s chart any good. He just further exacerbates many negative and explosive aspects inherent in the chart being triggered by current and soon to be transiting aspects. I’m going to post the charts here for everyone to see and then explain a little more.

You see how Murdoch has his rising at 1 degree Capricorn exactly conjunct the Dow’s Moon. This and the fact that he has his South Node (past life karma) smack on the Dow’s South Node and Neptune, well it isn’t too good for him. Not too good for the Dow either, but the Dow was going to suffer anyway even if Murdoch didn’t buy it. It just makes things worse for both of them.

Oddly, when we had the first big plunge Uranus was in Pisces at 20 degrees sitting exactly on Murdoch’s Sun in the 4th house (his legacy). Uranus brings radical changes, upheaval. He will see his life and image exposed for what it is over the next few years and there is a very real chance the fortune he has spent his life making will widdle away, perhaps in a way like William Randolph Hearst who also used the media for his own agenda. Maybe the lesson here is, one should never mess with the 4th estate without expecting universal repercussions.

I’m also posting the NASDAQ chart here:

I’m sorry to say there are also some bad transits hitting the NASDAQ. It has been a little more protected for several reasons, but will become more vulnerable during the 3rd week of this month. There will be ongoing problems here. I’ll have to go into more detail later about the NASDAQ. In general the NASDAQ has much better natal aspects for investors then the DOW does. But there’s a lot of trouble coming down the pike for it as well with a bunch of squares and oppositions and nasty aspects. Like I said I’ll post more detailed info about that tomorrow.

So in answer to your question, Rupert Murdoch doesn’t help the DOW, but he’s not the cause of its failing right now. I think fate wanted to teach him a lesson about power and money by enticing him into this purchase before its collapse.

How does one buy the DOW? That’s insane in itself.

Thanks for your question it was very interesting.

And the next question comes from Dazzle:

I’ve pretty much written these off as basket cases, after losing 70-95% on them. Do they have a future or not.

Cityview Corporation Limited, M2M Corporation Limited , Babcock & Brown Limited

Thanks

Hi Dazzle:

The only chart data I have is for Cityview. I’m going to post the it for you. I hope its the same stock you are wanting me to look at.

I can see Uranus has been ripping through the companies 8th house opposing a bunch of stuff in its natal 2nd. Not good for investors or people who work for this company. If it does get through this hard time it will have Neptune making similar aspects. If it’s an oil company that might not be a bad thing.

You know looking at the chart I get the feeling that this company has never really been very stable and with Neptune ruling its 8th house has never been a big money maker for its investors (unless it is an oil company.) There are some very bright people with good ideas who work here, but it has a tendency to bleed money. What sort of company is this? Are they more service oriented or driven by innovation, both sides show up here. Depending on how they are focused, or decide which way to go will determine whether it survives or not. Just being a service provider will make them some money in a small way, but it won’t really sustain them or build profit. They need to invest in new technology. If the company goes in that direction they have a chance of doing OK in the future. Fill me in on what you know about the company in a post and I’ll take a look at it more in depth.

Hi

We are going to NY in Mar 09 to see our son. What is your view on the AUD/USD exchange rate then.

Thanks

Hello Cayantgee:

I’ll ask the tarot if the Australian Dollar will be up against the US dollar during March of 09:

The answer was: No.

It doesn’t look like the Australian Dollar will be up against the US dollar.

I asked if the Australian Dollar would go down further against the US dollar then it is now in March of 09:

The answer: Yes

You might want to consider changing some money now and sitting on it. I’d be conservative about it and just watch how things go. If it keeps going down then change more before it gets too bad. Sorry about that. I was a bit surprised by this answer to be honest.

Best wishes to all and good luck!

Here are the rest of these questions that will be answered tomorrow. I will also answer new posts.

Octavia

Denise, thank you so much for answering my questions. I’m going to be purchasing a 15-20 minute session in the next 2 or 3 weeks, but I was wondering if you could just answer yes or no on this question: Within 25 years will the technology/medical advancements exist that will enable perfect to near-perfect facial skin regeneration?

Thanks so much,

Octavia

S K Sharma writes in a comment:

I agree with you regarding the downfall of the stock markets worlwide after 15.12.08.
But I feel Pluto is not the only planet which will make the storms, because Saturn opposing Uranus is also a major event. Please correct me, if I am wrong, because I am at a learning stage only.
In Vedic Astrolgy (Nirayana system), Jupiter will enter Capricorn in the first week of Dec, 2008 , which is another factor for the market fall .In 2009, Uranus will be opposite Saturn, and square to Pluto.

Absolutely true, actually the window at the top of the blog is a snapshot of the Dow’s natal chart.

I’m also glad you brought up Vedic astrology which is very different from western/tropical astrology. I studied Vedic astrology for a while in an attempt to try to fortify my knowledge. It also interested me because Vedic astrology was geared toward predictive work where western/tropical astrology is often humanistic and less predictive.

After working with the Vedic system for a couple of years and researching, reading and using it, I ultimately found it to be so fundamentally different than western/tropical it just confused things for me. I think as an astrologer its important to find a system that works for you and stick with it.

You pointed out other aspects that are going on at the same time validating the conclusions that I have come to. After talking with hundreds of astrologers over the years, I’ve found this to be common. We all have our own ways of coming to conclusions, often focusing on different planets, but somehow we usually come up with similar conclusions. This is because there are patterns, and multiple roads to the same answers. The most important thing about astrology is following your intuition and letting the charts speak to you, after getting to know the basics.

Best luck and good wishes to you.
